    ABOUT WOOL N' SPINNING //
Starting in the Spring 2014, after my second child was born, I felt this need to talk about spinning, making yarn and just doing things more intentionally than I had before. This need to have this conversation and be surrounded by others who were compelled to make drove me to start talking to a camera on my laptop. It grew and a community started to come together. I decided to publish a Patreon campaign to support the show in June 2016 and here we are today. Thank you for being here. I appreciate your time spent here in this place with me. I hope you feel most welcome because you are welcome. MUSIC //

I remember reading once that gun oil is very good for lubricating, and therefore, quieting the sound of weaving squeaks.

your beat is so gentle I usually do a quick short sharp beat, the only time I beat gentle is when I am doing lace

Ahh okay -- it's funny because on the Jack it doesn't feel like I can do light beats so it's interesting that it looks like that in the video! I found that if I beat too hard with this, the weft packed too much. I tried so many different sets but this worked to create a lovely fabric. I used a very light beat for my wool Unit 1 for my OHS.
