Re: John Joubert (who killed Danny):" As part of appeals on the Nebraska Supreme Court over whether the electric chair in Nebraska is a cruel and unusual punishment, it was revealed that during his execution Joubert incurred a four-inch brain blister on the top of his head and blistering on both sides of his head above his ears." *His* death was cruel and unusual punishment? PLEASE. The death of those boys was cruel and unusual. I frankly don't give a rat's bottom about how Joubert suffered.

SpunkySouthernGirl 🤗✝️💕💞👍Pass a law that the victims families / friends , can LEGALLY ; kill the killer , anyway they want 🧐. And kill every child rapist /. Every child abuser , because if they get out they’ll do it again , send every killer rapist child abuser. To hell where they came from pass a law they can’t get out of jail. I bet he killed more children 😡. We should find the grave of the killers / rapist and go to the restroom 🚽 on it 😡. Every grave should have I was murdered by 🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐

My grandparents grave is at 14:14 with the red and orange flowers. I believe the cemetery does a nice job of maintaining the grounds there. My parents have told me the story of Danny and it is heartbreaking as he was found near the base lake off a gravel road near/in a pasture just down the hill from where I live now as an adult. Truly sad.

In 1976, a 13 year old girl, Nanette Martin, who was also a paper carrier/delivery, disappeared while on her route. 3 days later, they found her dismembered body in 2 garbage bags. Detectives later learned she had been held captive for 2 days, tortured, raped, then strangled. They arrested Thomas Edward mahrt, (28) and he was ultimately convicted and sentenced to 99 years. He's eligible for parole in 2096. What led to his arrest was (if i remember right) the landlord had been in his apartment and came across pictures of Nanette, nude, tied up. He also found her glasses there. There are some sick, sick people living among us 💔

Green burial intrigues me.. I worked at a funeral home and when COVID-19 hit I was laid off for the owners son to take my place. The cost of a funeral is unbelievable especially when it’s unexpected. You have to pay for it upfront or be able to take out a loan to cover the cost.. when some of the families could not afford a casket they had no choice but to cremate even though it was against the wishes of the deceased.. no plots.. no headstone.. no memory.. it’s sad and it’s all to do with money.. everyone deserves to be remembered.. thank you for everything you do.. Let their names tell a story.

Thanks for doing such great work! So interesting. I grew up in Bellevue and my parents are buried in this cemetery. On a clear day it has a beautiful hilltop view of the Missouri River Valley and the high river bluffs across the river in Iowa. I saw graves of 3 friends in this video. An added note about Danny, this was the first murder we had in Bellevue in the 13 years I had lived there (and I am sure decades before) and everyone was pretty freaked out. The hunt for his killer went on forever and he actually turned out to be a serial killer. It was so bizarre because he was an Air Force sergeant stationed at the 55th Reconnaissance Wing at local Offutt Air Force Base who never missed a beat and kept on working normally right under their noses . For weeks, the artist's sketch of him was posted everywhere in town including in the hanger he worked in (in multiple locations). It wasn't that the sketch was that off or anything its just that no one suspected it to be a GI at the base and also there was no reason to suspect him. Everything normal; nothing suspicious. He also murdered 12 year old Christopher Walden in Bellevue 3 months later. He was actually caught cruising a day care center looking for another victim after a vague witness in the Walden case set them on there way to finding him. Here is a link on History.com about it. www.history.com/this-day-in-history/a-13-year-olds-dead-body-turns-up. Good summation. It was figured out during the investigation that a boy was killed in near a base where he had previously been stationed (Maine, I think) and he was charged with that murder also. Remember it like yesterday; it was a horrifying for, what was then, a MUCH smaller town.

I posted a comment yesterday and mentioned that I grew up in Bellevue and my parents are buried here. I also saw 3 the headstones of 3 people I knew. Mandy Pritchett was my best friend in 8th and 9th grade. She lived a few houses away. She died of cancer 3 years after we graduated from high school. Bobby Felthauser grew up in our neighborhood and was a friend of my brothers. We used to ride our dirt bikes through miles of trails in the cornfields. He died of head injuries in 1975 at the age of 15. He was thrown from a motorcycle he was a passenger on when they hit a chuckhole and the motorcycle ran over him. It was kind of a freak accident. Bizarre thing, about a year or so before that he and his girlfriend were in a terrible car accident and recall him being critically injured and almost not surviving. Jana Hensley graduated from Bellevue SHS 1973. I was friends with her younger sister. She died a few years after she graduated. I don’t recall the circumstances. I just remember it being tragic because she was so young. All died tragically young.

I feel very sad when the grave belongs to a kid, or also when parents and child were buried together and the child died before the parents. It should be the worst feeling when you baby passes away before you

They have this new burial where they put your body into a special container, then they put wood chips, hay and one other thing which I don’t remember and in 30 days your body turns into soil

You know it is so weird but as I watch and listen to you Lamont, I realize that you think the same way I do about a LOT of things. It’s just uncanny, not everything mind you but enough for me to consider you a kindred spirit.

"white man" is referred to by all non native Americans. It does not mean you're actually white, they didn't have vocabulary for outsiders of another skin tone. There were many indigenous nation's and "white man" became internationally known for an outsider as one would wave and you understand that. We still use "whites, white man, settlers" in tribal meetings for all non native regardless the person(s) white, Black, yellow, green and so on.

I still think you should come to North Platte/Sutherland NE area to visit the graves of the Kellie family. You could even video Lincoln Regional Center in Lincoln NE while you're over in that neck of the woods and show where the murderer of this family resides. I haven't tried to google where the Kellies are buried. While you're here you could even show Annie Cook's grave. You can google her, she was a real piece of work and I'm sure there are lots of graves associated with her. If you do head this way be sure to comment here so I know, maybe we could meet up at a new normal of 6 ft apart.
