Nicholas Littlejohn like I said a quantum leap for batteries will be needed before an electric plane will be viable. The venture you're talking about is a hybrid electric not a quote electric plane, unquote. Oh and how many passengers does it carry four? It will take a whole bunch of those before the world and the climate will be saved. I'm all for electric planes and I was there when pathfinder plus set a world record height flight of 80,000 feet. Btw it had batteries, solar cells and fuel cells.
Electric planes will save lives and our climate.
Nicholas Littlejohn dream on. There would need to be a quantum leap in battery technology before that would happen.
@@jonhare392 You'll have to tell that to Boeing and the Zunum electric plane venture they're doing right now.

@@jonhare392 Be positive, this is a regional plane and Siemens already has working electric general avaition planes.
Nicholas Littlejohn you're reading me wrong. I'm all for it. I stand by my statement though. Better batteries more flight time. We aren't there yet.
