This is the video that helped me mentally come to terms with the fact that if I'm gonna be craving nicotine whether I quit or not, I might as well quit.
I smoked for 16 years. It got to the point where I would be smoking a cigarette and just planning for the one after that one. "maybe 30 minutes I'll have another." or "after this, I'm going to have dinner then I can have another one after that". It was mind boggling the torture I was putting myself through. I bought that book and had it on my table for about 6 months until I had my "fuck this, I'm quitting" moment and I sad down and read it while listening to an audiobook copy. Over the course of 3 days, I finished the book and had my last cigarette in May 2018.
Thank you so much for sharing this with everyone!!!! Freeing yourself from those thoughts is crucial it’s legit freedom from something, such a good feeling

Felt all what Jacob said and man.. I wish all of us to feel free from that BS. The cravings are easier when the mind is set on quitting.
Anytime! Your withdrawals should be peeking somewhere right around now or a few days prior. Just keep busy and keep focused on quitting after you get for the first three days, I always recommend aiming for the two week mark.
I’ve never smoked a cigarette 🚬 in my life , I’m 50 years old. My feeling whole , is being with my children , seeing them smile. Or going for a nice swim in a swimming pool or lake & then a nice Sauna. I really feel sorry for people that are addicted to this disgusting habit. God bless , PS I’m from 🇬🇧
Nicotine addiction for me is like having a headache all the time. You either have a headache from nicotine withdrawals or a headache from taking in nicotine. It's damned in you do, damned if you don't. Maybe in the moment, taking that initial hit of nicotine feels great, but when the other side effects start taking place, it makes you feel like garbage and somehow the nicotine tricks you into thinking the nicotine is the cure for these ailments it's giving you. It's literally like being gaslighted every second of every day. It is so genuinely unpleasant to be addicted to nicotine, I struggle to understand why more people aren't quitting.
I would say that's the best way of putting a nicotine addiction: you're being gaslighted into thinking the thing that's causing all these problems is the solution to it every second of every day.

It’s smoking that would take away the good parts of life. Unfortunately many people don’t realize that until it’s far too late. It’s what we have to keep in mind.
The amount of times I've been working with non-nic addicts during a stressful time and I'll light up/vape hit and they'll say "I wish I had something to take the stress off." You know it may be taboo to say, But although nicotine is addictive, And in the case of smoking also putting you at an elevated risk of death by several factors, Theres one thing many people don't like to grant. Everyone has a vice, Whether it be food/snacks which when indulged upon can make for weight gain, increased risk of heart attack and other health complications, video games which can consume a lot of time and money, dry eye and eye fatigue, Irregular sleep patterns etc, energy drinks/sodas both of which can get you hooked on caffeine which people seem to forget is an addictive drug too, the acidity and high sugar content means that in excess you run the risk of rotting teeth, gum disease, or worse, Drinking alcohol which although super culturally accepted and common is literal liver poison that in excess WILL kill you or leave you crippled, and it doesn't even take long. The amount of things we do that have risks seems insane until you ask one simple question... Why do we do things we know are risky? It's because it's fun, it's because people want to see what life has to offer and sometimes that means trading some safety for some fun, the reality being some would rather live an eventful life even if its shorter than a safer life. That's why we smoke/chew/vape nicotine, It's because it's more than us all being some poor kid who got tricked into trying it and then got addicted, There are also those that heard the risks, and decided to do it anyways by choice, and continue to do it because they enjoy it, and nicotine is only one part of why these activities are fun. Sure it's addictive, many things are, and that can be a problem, but if it's the right one for you, then I don't see the issue. But if you think it's ruining your life, then please quit for your own improved quality of life, and if you were coerced into it? This isn't to say keep doing it, Thats something you have to decide, if you wish to quit please do. In the end it's all about how someone weighs the pro's and con's of something, If you don't want to smoke or chew or vape then don't, if you do, do want you want.
Like you alluded to, I think a lot of Jacob's lack of desire to quit nicotine (despite acknowledging it and being self aware) is his age. He's young and healthy, so smoking hasn't caught up to him yet- him quitting is not properly incentivized
Ummm I would say very similar.. both stim addictions both socially acceptable of course I think nicotine has less benefits and of course comes in more harmful methods of delivery
companies make their products as addictive as possible, cigs, vapes. The lungs are the quickest delivery method. Caffeine has a longer half life so a person won’t feel any withdraw for a lot longer. Usually next day by the afternoon
Frank I really want to quit vaping read allen carr and understand the mindset shift that im giving something up I need to change but no matter how ready i feel or hard I try in the end it feels like I always relapse
I quit over a year and a half ago. Because I wanted to and because I was having breathing issues. Unfortunately the breathing issues only have either gotten worse or at least never gone away! Super randomly I have this insane attack where it feels like my air ways are almost completely closed , or maybe there's some serious thick stuff in my lungs . Idk I've gone to the e.r. a million times for it and I can't even begin to explain how sickening it is how I get no help in this issue. I mean ive had seasonal asthma growing up and I know what those asthma attacks feel like and this isn't that. Any ideas ?
The supplement NAC really helps the lungs and clears up the mucus. I think that’s one near the end that allowed me to smoke without feeling I was harming myself. Didn’t even have the slightest cough. Talk to your doctor though before taking supplements
Nicotine is not the problem, smoking is. I actually love nicotine, and have never formed an addiction to it. I often go weeks without, and I suppose I miss it, but I manage just fine without it. I do enjoy it when I have it though. Swedish nicotine pouches are a great way to use it, refreshing minty tingle and discrete. I find it works fantastically as a nootropic or little 'pick me up' when I am feeling tired.
i need to talk about why he says, you know what I'm saying and ill be honest over and over again who the fuck legitimately talks like this, it seems like a character, a guy who is doing all the things he thinks guys who are cool would do
Addicted to nicotine? Why is this video promoting the idea of nicotine addiction. Look deep past the propaganda and discover it’s really not addictive. Maybe you are addicted to additives like pyrazines. Pyrazines may help to optimise nicotine delivery and dosing, and promote addiction through cueing, learned behaviour and/or direct effects.

What do you think about quitting nicotine and thc at the same time, Would it be easier to quit both at once or one at a time?
Just dropped a video for you!! Legit just like and hour ago
@@AddictionMindset your a legend 🙌
Who’s the guy you’re reacting to? I wanna check his vids out
Cool video, know what I'm sayin.
I know what your saying! 😆
Is nicotine addiction the same as caffeine addiction ?
Ummm I would say very similar.. both stim addictions both socially acceptable of course I think nicotine has less benefits and of course comes in more harmful methods of delivery
@@AddictionMindset If you was going bald. Would you use caffeine shampoo ?
companies make their products as addictive as possible, cigs, vapes. The lungs are the quickest delivery method. Caffeine has a longer half life so a person won’t feel any withdraw for a lot longer. Usually next day by the afternoon
@@paulbenish8982 true, the reinforcing behavior of craving it, you have to hit it every 5 mins cause withdrawls
@@bennewman4675 caffeine doesn’t prevent hair loss. You need to take propecia and take care of the dht
Do people feel unable to do something or start the day. An less they have caffeine ?
Yes 10000% this is true for many people
Frank I really want to quit vaping read allen carr and understand the mindset shift that im giving something up I need to change but no matter how ready i feel or hard I try in the end it feels like I always relapse
No worries i know exactly wjat your saying brotha :D
@@paulbenish8982 thank you
Drink more h20 then the average human
Make sure you are sufficient in vitamin D3. Ideally, a min of 4000 IU's per day is where a person should be.
I really like cigarettes so I smoke casually cuz I wanna do it longer 🚬✌️
Yeah, I know what you are saying.
I think quitting, feels like a dumb rule you have to follow
I love Jacob fuckin jones so much
Just noticed you dont have that chicken sound anymore in the videos
Lol. It’s a hyena. Frank mentioned it in a live the other day
@@paulbenish8982 it is!!!
I miss it to be honest

Lol " you know what I'm saying "
"You know what I'm sayin" :DDD How many more times?
This is how Kratom was for me.
Very hard to watch him smoking after a year.
I like dr frank better
Thanks West!!
snus and vape is the best way to quit. You get to experience nicotine without the carbon monoxide and radioactive tar, a lot healthier
Keep telling yourself these lies.

Know what I’m sayin??
i need to talk about why he says, you know what I'm saying and ill be honest over and over again who the fuck legitimately talks like this, it seems like a character, a guy who is doing all the things he thinks guys who are cool would do
I learned absolutely nothing from both of these videos 😂
Knowah sayin’? Knowhah mean?
His mouth is huge
Dude…you pausing his video to talk every 10 seconds is annoying. Just let the video finish, then comment at the end.
I’m 14 and addicted (don’t judge)... I’m depressed already but when I run out of cigarettes or my vape It makes me feel worse😑
Holy fuc Man U young bro 😭 I mean I can’t judge I used to be smoking weed at 15
💀
Yeah dude wait ten more years smoking is stupid
Addicted to nicotine? Why is this video promoting the idea of nicotine addiction. Look deep past the propaganda and discover it’s really not addictive. Maybe you are addicted to additives like pyrazines. Pyrazines may help to optimise nicotine delivery and dosing, and promote addiction through cueing, learned behaviour and/or direct effects.
yapper
nicotine ain shit
No offense, but this is one of your more annoying videos gushing over this guy’s content
Smoking stinks
Bro this guy is just after him, I already saw couple pf reaction videos of him
