Not only did it help me figure out what to pair with my favorite new grenade launcher, but an another benefit was that this is the best explanation I've ever seen of how to proc bait and switch. I always thought you had to start the sequence using the bait and switch weapon, but apparently not. So helpful!
Witherhord has been my go to special to pair with it. witherhorde, heliocentric and edge transit god rolls got me my first solo clear of the spire of the watcher boss this weekend.
That's actually a good boss to do dmg test on, guess I know what I'm going to do tomorrow. Also wanna test hullabaloo as it's supposed to have very very goof dps but I gotta see it myself Edit: The testing was done. No surges or debuffs, only well: Cascade + decon -> 2 million Envious + BnS -> 1.85 million
I have to do this with arc because I suck at finding those things to shoot in the cage. I depend on my arc buddy to help me. I’m going to this combo though should make it that much easier for me since I’m not very good.
Question. Void Titan got Doom Fang Pauldrons. Would the Void surge from the exotic replace the void surges from Boot mods? I heard they dont stack plus chucking ya shield at the boss adds super energy. . . Started D2 last month and I enjoy the learning curve.
From what I understand, since the damage bonus granted by Exotics is technically just a 4x Weapon Surge, it would not stack with any on your boots---or, yes, it would replace them. If you are running two surges already, you only get two extra surges' worth of damage from the exotic armor's damage boost; if you are running no surges, the exotic grants you the benefit of if you were to have 4 equipped---a 25% damage buff for the duration---though that's obviously not possible with only 3 mod slots. I believe the same thing applies to exotics such as the Hunter Foetracer and Mask of Bakris. Hope this helps
@@narcvanquisher Not necessarily a higher uptime I don't think, just more damage. 3x weapon surge is 22% buff, 4x is a 25% buff. For higher uptime ... I'm not sure if the class item mod Time Dilation works or not with exotic weapon surges, but that is how you extend uptime on normal weapon surges since they are active while you have armor charge. I don't think it would extend the duration for exotic weapon damage boosts since those are separate from armor charge I think? not sure on that one tbh.
Time Dilation would not increase the timer on the Doom Fang Pauldron surges, they will always be 10 seconds max. If the damage phase is short and you can get enough kills to stack the buff prior to starting the damage phase it could work. Not very practical though.
Yes, youll do more damage by direct hitting the boss. But if you miss the boss completely then its 0 damage, so its better to hit the floor near it and do less damage imo. Unless youre certain to hit the boss
I got a envious assassin deconstruct roll I’m not sure how deconstruct works but I’m saving this roll. I do have chain reaction bait n switch which does sound nice but envious plus bait switch is what I want
@@jassom1270 better dps but since your shooting too fast you get less deconstruct proc’d. So gotta pick dps vs total damage in that case. Love there’s so many optiobs
@@snoopyer7 if you have sticky nades it actually profs deconstruct more than normal and leads to even more ammo refunded. I wish I could link it but there’s another video that break downs all the rolls for the dev transit. Sticky nades+Cascade+deconstruct is best dps and best total damage
Pair it with sanguine alchemy for an innate 2x void surge while in any rift and stacks with radiant and empowering rift so apex would get a 46% buff and edge would get a 40% buff(consistently as both can get 46% if someone is getting you radiant which should be an artifact mod but it doesn’t seem to be working, haven’t tried standing in someone else’s well if it gives me the 46%buff which it should) but that allows you to run say father’s sins, edge transit, and whatever even a mountain top with 2 kinetic surges but I recommend not leaning too far into maxing dmg as extending the rift and general play is also important so an actual weapon to use like buried bloodline for void or graviton lance if you don’t have BB or whatever you want, izanagi’s is better but it’s also an exotic and requires precision, i have done the entire KF raid with triple sniper and i can say i can hit my shots, however I wouldn’t prefer the risk of using it on console over the ease of mountaintop tho

Deconstruct doesn’t proc with the overfilled part. Auto loading or field prep would be better to pair it with
Cascade and deconstruct is better for dps. Reconstruct refunds ammo when dealing damage.
