- A burnt substation caused widespread power outages in Tshwane after it exploded last night. Electricity Minister Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa and Tshwane Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya visited the site to provide updates on the situation.

Building a new water treatment plant for hammanskraal, Cleaning up the city, go anywhere and it's neat and clean, building new roads, fixing lights, building a new substation for both mooikloof and wapadrand, these feed areas like mamelodi.
There I've named a few.
Now go look at jhb and the total disaster that is or wait emfuleni or the whole of mpumulanga.
The point is the anc did no maintenance for 29 yrs. They left the city with over 4 billion in debt with nothing to show for it.
Now with no money and in a very short time you expect the previous mayor to have done maintenance on every piece of equipment in the city because nothing was done for 29 yrs.
Sabotage or old and not maintained infrastructure. 51 years old in the last 30 years ANC has done no maintenance. Maintenance is a ticking time box in SA, just wait and see.

The GNU is working, you can already start to see the three spheres of government starting to work together. If the ANC and ASA deliver to the people as promised, and they stop discrimination in resource allocation, they will come out stronger in the next election. We might even forget that the DA mismanaged the finances of the capital city for 8 years, and could not deliver the "DA Difference" they have been on about. Cilliers Brink was not the best person for the job here (I mean these guys just fail to account for the money they spend, I mean how hard is it to just get a clean audit? I expect this from the corrupt ANC). They should have just deployed Geordin Hill Lewis from CPT to come and salvage the situation. I have not seen them export the "excellence in WC" they have been on about across the municipalities they govern outside the WC.
