They are trying to cash it out honestly. Imagine the amount of money they get even for a year considering that we are the most populous country and so many people leave every year. Hey Bharat and team, I want to talk about the chaotic situation of APS that is happening here, Please make a video on that too. Consider a person like me who has been working nearly 12 hours everyday from past one year preparing for the masters in parallel with my job as a result I did get admits in 2 good Universities around a month back but today I'm stuck I have quit my Job and I don't have my APS Certificate yet its been 150 days since I applied I can't book my Visa slot and even the visa process will take 3 months. I probably might lose my admission. So, this is what is affecting students like me and there are many like me with absolute no mistake of our own our futures are being ruined. I'm not writing this to showcase my struggle or complain but to say that we are helpless today but you and your team are powerful and have better reach than us. Please do help student like us, I'm sending mails everyday but all I get is ignorance, that's it. This will have serious psychological issues to the students here. So, requesting for your help so that people staying in Germany know what actually is happening and may take some serious required action. Thanks and Regards.

I work in Germany, but India is well within its right to stop brain drain...if the tide is to be turned, it has to start somewhere. If german govt raises the block acc amount by 30%, students would still pour in without complaining...but if India does it, it is seen as a restrictive practice.....wait for ten years ..we all will be flocking back to the homeland.
Bro there is a reason why blocked account amount is increased, With every year passing the living expenses also increases hence the German government increases the amount so that students will not find it difficult to manage! Whereas 20% tax is gone directly to the government. Only middle class and poor students understand this frustration!

A student (or parent) can claim refund of TCS (Tax Collected at Source) charged by the bank in ITR (Income Tax Return).

Sir i did my son's blocked account today and i paid 16000 taxes and they said it is 5percent over 3 lakh rupees and after July it will be ,60 k and this will be reimbursed or adjusted to income tax payment, so this confusion is not necessary in my knowledge and yes it will burden for people for few months and later it comes back to them ,

Bharat, very good evening. It is not also true what you are explaining. In india there are lots of standard engineering colleges where student can take admission if they are qualified for the study. Students have a fascination to study abroad putting them or their parents in huge liability. In Germany has now also lots of problem. That you know very well. Very little scope for core subject like electrical, mechanical etc. Only IT candidates are having + point. A fresher, what ever the salary they use to get it is also not sufficient as much because 1/3rd of their salary has to pay for their house rent. Prices of essential commodities are also high. There is very little scope of savings. In india, freshers are getting good salary. Germany is still behind the moon as comparing with India digitalization. Lot of paper works and Burocracy. When I have studied in Germany there was no blocked account and taxes imposed on us. I think all that glitters is not gold. Candidates those who are going to study or working over their, mostly are coming well established family moreover their parents are not depending on the money they sent. But the masters in specific field of economics is not offered in Indian unis and even if it's there it's from third Tier colleges and tbh I have a standard when it comes to my education. So, it's not a fault of someone if they aspire to have a world class education and make themselves an asset.

The thing is a whooping 24lakh students sit for the exam out of which only 30k get over and that's the hell of competition. you would have to pay the tax anyways because you are not paying for EDUCATIONAL expenses but your expenses.
