Hi Faizan. Nope, KFC is the only international fast food chain here. There are various theories as to why. The main one is to avoid encouraging a culture of junk food, the other is that cold chains and supply can't maintain consistent quality (though KFC seems to be doing okay), and another is that we have a lot of good quality international restaurants that cost less than a fast-food joint so they wouldn't get enough customers. I don't know what the exact reason is, I think probably the first one is the overriding point. We do have a home-grown alternative called Mr. Chips who does amazing crispy chicken, fish and falafel burgers. It was started by a Canadian guy and it's fast and relatively cheap.
The KFC here in Taiwan doesn't carry some of the side dishes found in the US. I can live with that. However, I don't eat at KFC Taiwan anymore because they discontinued the original recipe chicken flavor! I mean, that's what made KFC famous. To me, that's like McDonald's not selling hamburgers. Oh well, I didn't move here to eat American food anyway 🙂
@@writerinrwanda There's only super crispy style, with some seasonal versions that cater to the Taiwanese palate, like the current rice wine-sesame oil flavor.
War. After what Rwanda went thru during the 90s, makes me appreciate KFC in Malaysia. Hello from 🇲🇾 Malaysia.
Is there McDonald's or Subway restaurant inside Rwanda?

Oh, that's weird. What do they serve instead? Do people in Taiwan just not like the original flavour?

Meticulously decorticate experiences like a typical dramaturge. Interesting! Curious to read one of your works once.
