      @karndeepsingh  3 роки тому +2

      You can pass your data to the BioBert model and get predicted outcomes of associated NER Tags (on which it was trained) for each word of your data. But it may not output the tags you may be looking for your usecase in that case you need to check the Tags on which it was trained on and if matches your usecase then go for it or else start annotating the dataset according to your usecase and then retrain it.
      Insider Information: Will be making a video on Annotation as well. Coming soon. Stay tuned for that.😅

    Hi Karndeep. I have trained this ner model, but while text prediction, it's predicting only for first 10 or 11 words in case on long sentences. What might be the issue here?

    • @karndeepsingh
      @karndeepsingh  2 роки тому +1

      The reason could be many:
      1. Need to check whether it is training on all the tokens in a sentence.
      2. Training data might be small.
      3. Tokenisation issue for test data, hence it is unable to identify new token present in test dataset.

    I'm puzzled by the way you split the training and test sets. It seems to me that you random chop up the sentences into random words so that no complete sentences fall into either the training set or test set (plus the words are out of order.). Your test example using Bangalore may not be that remarkable since there are 7 instances of Bangalore, all labeled B-GEO. A more interesting example would be "I live in Adams, Massachusetts", since all "Adams" in the corpus has been tagged as a person, but in this example I'm using Adams as a GEO, so that the model should be able to figure it out, if it's been trained right. I've tried to build your code in Google CoLab to test this, but I ran into a stupid library problem.

To verify, I directly downloaded and ran your github repository's source code and data, and getting the same result. Hi great video! But Iam wondering. Is it possible to add more features for the model to be trained on ? For example I don't want to have just sentence_id, words and label but I also want to have Part-Of-Speech tag and Lemmatized word for example. Is it possible with simpletransformers ? Thank you very much :)

    I have a little question: U used 'bert-base-cased' for this example, but what should I use for french texts, or mixed (french-english), or for sentences that includes car models and brands ,... (don't exist in a dictionnary)?
    Thanks in advance for your help!

      If you have dataset of any specific language you can use multiligual models but I don't remember as such any pre-model available for mixed language text.
      And to handle the out of vocabulary words, please refer wordpiece algorithm that is being used in BERT at the back end. You will understand the things clearly.

    How do you handle with out of vocabulary words bro?

    • @karndeepsingh
      @karndeepsingh  3 роки тому

      Bert internally uses WordPiece tokenizer to handle out of vocabulary. You can read about it.

    Hi Karndeep, thank you for this amazing video.
    I have a question: I am trying to create my own dataset and I have labeled amazon reviews about a product to define which words are a product feature and which are not, and I followed the BILOU standard. For example "solid state drive on a tablet size is one of the best things" is annotated as:
    solid B-Feature
    state I-Feature
    drive L-Feature
    on O
    a O
    tablet B-Feature
    size L-Feature
    is O
    one O
    of O
    the O
    best O
    things O
    and then I used your model, added the sentence_id, and followed the rest, but unfortunately, I got 0% accuracy and the model is not able to predict. I know the dataset is not large enough yet, I'm still working on it (just 11000 annotated words so far) but do you know why the model is not working?

    Hi Karndeep,
    Is it necessary to pass POS data while training the model ?

      Yes! According to your data you need to prepare. Otherwise if you dont pass, it uses the default.
