Aww UTI's are no fun they can really confuse them glad your Dad is on the mend and Cal also...awww cutting teeth is no fun for the Littles. My legs are so dry and here in Ontario this is the first day its not so frigid its been a very cold winter here so far ...have a great day and thanks for sharing.xoxo HUGS
Dad is doing much better although he won't be going home with Gary because he is completely bedridden. We are waiting for a placement into a care home. Take care
Hi Darlene 👋 So glad your dad is doing better. Oh my yes, when our older generations get those dreaded UTIs, it will make them turn into a totally different person. What your dad experienced is more often typical of a UTI, in the elderly. Often confusion, combativeness, etc. As for the women's voices, with your father's hearing issues, I'm sure that the high decibel of a woman's voice would be like nails on a chalkboard to him. Also, as much as they're taught not to, nurses often speak too loud, annoying the patient, and that's the worst thing to do. It's not that they can't hear anything, but they can only hear certain sounds. It's called being tone deaf. You probably already know all about that, but I just ramble on. It's the nurse in me, so I apologize ahead of time lol. Anyway, great news that he's doing so much better and that Gary can see him, and that you were able to talk to him. I'm sure it was a bright spot in his day. Take care and have an amazing Sunday ❤
I've been learning alot about UTI 's in folks with dementia or older ones as you said. It's very interesting and informative for the caretakers to be aware of
We learn as we go along. I think we should be given a manual of what to expect as we age but it would probably frighten us looking ahead lol. Hope your weekend has been good. Take care
@@darlenemylifewithparkinsons Well, I know from birth to death is the norm but it's what's in between like y our saying is kinda scary 😳😳 I'm the type that once I'm in something I want to know the ins and the outs. My husband on the other hand is what will be will be ☺️😊. Hope Fionn is feeling better. Cutting teeth is so hard to see them go through.
Hello Darlene, my mother never knew what she was paying for her stay at the nursing home if she would’ve she would’ve probably wanted us to bring her back home because she would’ve said it was way too much it was too much but it was good care. If I had to do over I think I would try to hire people to come and take care of her and I think it would end up costing less but the thing is the house that they lived in would’ve not done they still would’ve had to live with me. It’s very hard though to find people to come into the home we did get a hospice nurse for my father when he was out at his end of his days and it was a male nurse which worked out really good and the way it was set up at my house worked perfect for him the bathroom was right across from his bedroom so it was very easy. Happy birthday to your little one who is going to be one soon and 4 teeth that would cause a lot of pain for the little one

My skin just drinks in the lotion and lips are chapped but on the upside it's a gorgeous day plus 11 Celsius. Take care
