Hey friends, as I've had a couple of comments about the Farmstand from Lettuce Grow - if you want to learn more or if you end up buying one you can use this link to get a free seedling pack with your stand! www.lgjhdfs3jd.com/IMMYLG/ (this isn't sponsored, and it's not an affiliate link! Just a link to help you get free seedlings if you want them!).
I’m only 10 seconds into the video… and I want to say how charming and relaxing it is to see you sitting at your fabulous thrifted kitchen table in front of the sunny window drinking a cup of coffee. As I move through my busy morning setting things up in my classroom for a full day of sewing classes, I am relaxed and revived just seeing you enjoy your pleasant morning routine. The vibe is infectious and I really needed it today. I don’t want to rush through the video, so I will pause it here and watch the rest of it whilst on my lunch hour. Thanks so much for doing Vlogmas, Immy, what a great start to December. 💦🌎Ⓜary💕⛄
I remember living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Before I found a sustainable living life. I opened a can of biscuits, and it popped so loudly I screamed. Colorado Springs is a little bit of a higher altitude than Denver. No one warned me. I was so embarrassed when I screamed. If you go to Colorado Springs, go to Manitou Springs. There's a trail called the Incline. I haven't mastered that hike yet. But I heard it was fun and rewarding when you finished it. The view is amazing.
In case you didn't know, Denver will be providing free city composting to everyone in 2023! We pay for the service now, but it's great for things that aren't backyard compostable but can be composted commercially 🙂
Just wanted to say that you doing vlogmas makes me sooooooo happy! Love your content! It is so beautifully made and inspires me to keep going with more sustainable choices. Especially useful this time a year when hyper consumerism is on steroids for Christmas and it sometimes takes extra care to say no to hopping on that train or getting that new thing (that I don’t need because I really have everything). So thank you!
I just googled and shared the lettuce grow farm stand with my husband. Game changer. Thank you for all your wonderful vids. You’re really helping our world become a better place 🌺💖
Ah amazing! This isn't sponsored but they did give me a code if you wanted a free set of seedlings (if you end up buying the farmstand!) Just use this link: www.lgjhdfs3jd.com/IMMYLG/
I wish I could have a lettuce/herb tower like that! Alas, I have an orange cat who loves to eat all my leafy and green produce, haha. I enjoyed A Gentleman in Moscow. It’s not what I normally read, but it was very character driven, which I like.
We have a Lettuce Grow and also live in CO. We love it and I'm sure you will too! The seedlings have become a bit expensive, so we are thinking of trying to start our own plants from scratch.
Will definitely be doing it again, because it was SO fun and I actually feel so much closer to my community now which has been wonderful. I may even do a mid year version too like a kind of *summer vlogmas*
I didn’t get myself an advent calendar (is it even a thing outside of Germany?) this year. But your vlogmas just happens to be perfect as a kind of substitute. Really looking forward to the upcoming videos. I especially love all food related videos as they give me a lot of inspiration for what I may cook 😍
I have a cheese, See's Candy, two tea, and two Bonne Maman advent calendars, one French and one American. They are very popular now in the USA. In Target I saw several for children with Lego and other toys.
Another great video :) would love to see one about what you do for water/energy with sustainability in mind for your new home. I'm slightly obsessed with water conservation at the moment, so curious to know what other people do!
Watching your videos is so soothing and relaxing for me. I like the content but I think I like the method and your voice even more. ❤️ Thank you for helping me relax. :-)
Every single one of your vlogs is so informative ! Good luck with everything , your new home looks so cozy and beautiful , been really looking forward to this chapter in your life! Love from London , UK
Wellness Sushi is amazing! I’m glad you got to try it. I live in Colorado Springs and try to get there whenever I’m in Denver. Welcome to beautiful Colorado!! Thanks for sharing.
9:30 - I commented at the beginning of the video and now I just have to comment at the end of the video. I love that your floral headband (hairband… sorry, I don’t know the proper name for it) from your elopement is hanging on the corner of your bed headboard. It’s really precious… maybe it gives you all the cozy feels of that special day just before you fall asleep? I think that’s pretty cool!! 💦🌎Ⓜary💐
Yes! Here is the link: www.lgjhdfs3jd.com/IMMYLG/ you can use this to learn about it or if you end up getting one this link will get you a free seedling pack!
Lovely to see you every day, Immy! ♥ You sure got lots of exercise in today with all that walking. 😊 Just a suggestion - I noticed you were walking on the right side of the road. Here in North America, because we drive on the right side of the road, pedestrians are meant to walk on the left, facing the oncoming traffic. It's safer. ♥ (Of course, it could be that the camera flipped the direction. 😉) Looking forward to tomorrow's video!
Ah that totally makes sense! This was in a park and I was in the designated 'walkers' lane! so only bikes and rollarbladers were in the other lane. But have noted this for my future walks!!
We used food grade buckets we got from a restaurant to make inground garden worm towers. You can put your kitchen scraps in all winter (along with leaves or other carbon sources) and the gentle composting action will keep the worms happy and alive all winter. I live on Vancouver Island, so maybe a bit warmer winter temps, but a garden worm tower would still work for you, I think! ua-cam.com/play/PLMSp8EkYp2Laa6ikgByOW1aXD7O2TAlI1.html Sandra
I have followed you on Instagram for quite some time and have just now decided to start bingeing your UA-cam content...yes I am a little behind :) I am loving every minute of what you have created. I wanted to ask because I just love the little pot you warm the milk in...where did it come from? Or what brand is it?
So, I should be making dinner but instead I took a moment to enjoy your video and have some warm coffee with a roasted purple sweet potato and some broccoli. 😋 Funny thing is I'm planning on making the same thing for dinner! Ilieutenant gasped when I saw what you were making! lol Only our sandwiches will be on Dave's Killer Bread and served alongside some tomato soup bc #soupseason 😋 👌
Ah sorry it's my vlog camera, it doesn't have a stabiliser in it though it should considering how bloody expensive they are! Will do static shots in future
I really enjoy your channel. You help me so much. I would encourage if I may, to keep using the British terminology. I do understand you have an American audience as well as British. I just do not want you to try and change the way you speak while here in America. Be authentically you. You are great just the way you are. No move to America should change that. Keep shining and inspiring.
Hi! I want to make you aware that the book you are reading (and Boy in the Striped Pajamas) is very problematic because it centers the non-Jews and is very inaccurate. Holocaust historians and even the Auschwitz memorial have widely criticized it. Instead it would be much better to read books by Jewish and Romani Holocaust survivors.
Thank you for your comment, and I'm very sorry for my mistake. Its completely my fault for not doing a little research or due diligence before reading this book, if I had I would never have read it or chosen to speak about it on a public platform. That being said, I will address it in the next video and ensure I correct my mistake.
@@SustainablyVegan I appreciate that you are open to listening and accountability! The fact that these books are still so widely read really shows how much the savior narrative is pushed (and how common it is for people to listen to non-Jews about Jewish issues). If you are looking for a book that highlights Jewish resistance, one I've read is My Name is Selma.
Hi Elina, Thank you for bringing this to not only Immy but her audience as well. I totally believe you when you say people have taken issue with it but I am struggling to find any articles that expressly say that. I would like to spread the word to friends and family that it’s problematic but many read The Boy in the Striped Pjamas and feel really compelled to either keep reading or begin reading this sequel.
Hi Immy! First of all, I love that you're doing vlogmas. I've been watching your videos forever, and I always appreciate your work and when you respond to my comments :) It's very hard for me to write this, but I wish you would not promote the new sequel to The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. The author is not Jewish and his novel is deeply problematic and has been condemned by many Holocaust scholars and organizations dedicated to preserving the memories of what actually happened to victims during that time. I know you've read books by Jewish Holocaust survivors before and you've talked about them on your channel, and I know you didn't mean any disrespect because I do really trust your judgement and carefulness in this space, but given the heightened anti-Semitism in the world right now, speaking as a Jewish woman, it is hard to see books such as this one gaining so much positive attention. Here's a link to an article if you want to learn more about the controversy: www.jta.org/2022/12/01/culture/the-sequel-to-the-holocaust-novel-boy-in-the-striped-pajamas-is-here-its-author-has-no-regrets
Oh I’m so sorry, it was an honest mistake and I would never have mentioned it if I had better informed myself. Thank you for taking the time to write this, and please know I have read it and completely support you. I will be sure to correct this in the next video xx
@@SustainablyVegan thank you for your thoughtful response! We all make mistakes and I love your willingness to listen and learn. Looking forward to more vlogmas!
Have to completely disagree. We do not have one voice, and I respect others views, but that JTA piece is shocking in its misinformation. The HCN are clear it shouldn't be used as educational material, but that piece twisted actual facts into something else. I'm really disappointed by it.

My little confession: I enjoy to watch your "what I ate" or "healthy meal prep" Videos while eating my spicy cup noodles.
I love to hear it
You should do a video where you compare the US and UK (either in general or in terms of sustainability or vegan options!)
“A little Chaotic” is actually code for the most calm and relaxing video of the day. 😊
I love your areo garden, never seen one like that..👍❤️🌞

Anybody else always have to make a cup of tea when watching Immy? 😊
It's so cool to see my fave Brit UA-camr in Denver, going to all my fave thrift stores and such. I live in Colorado Springs but it's all the same.

@@SustainablyVegan Thank you so much!
Wow, a video a day!
For me it's like getting a lovely Christmas present every day.
Thank you, Immy!
Such a lovely video! The chickpea "tuna" salad looks great. I read Gentleman in Moscow a few years ago, and liked it.
It's taken me 100 pages to get into but I am enjoying it now too!! thanks so much for watching xx

That sushi looked amazing. I'm also interested to see how the tower works out.
Hi There great vlog l always enjoy your vlogs l love your plant station inside that's a good way to keep 🌿 herbs an etc 😊 have a great week😊🌏🌏🌏🌏
Try out Bamboo Sushi! We’ve got them in Oregon and I believe there’s one in Denver too. Their “Green Machine” is a phenomenal plant based roll :)
I take my compost to Scraps Mile High, to the drop off location at Stanley Marketplace, where the Zero Market is located. Just easy. 🙂

Denver recently changed and as of jan first they will offer free compost pick up as they do for recycle and trash.

haha yay Happy Friday !! xx
There should be community compost centers in your area. You could take your waste there, or they’ll pick up.
The scene of you cutting to too big sandwich is SO RELATABLE. I haven't tried Wellness Sushi yet, so glad to hear you loved it!
The bread and chickpea salad filling looks delicious! Adding it to my list of meals to try 😄
Vlogmas! wohoo!
I would love for you to do a video comparing the cost of vegan living between Denver and the U.K. x
*adds to list*
Blue sushi has arguably better vegan sushi. Def have to try them also.
Omg-I love your colander!
oh I'm so jealous of that sushi! the sushi places near me only have avocado and cucumber sushi for vegans and vegetarians :(
Oh I hear that! This place is new so I had only just heard about it and i'm stoked!
Your the first person I've seen who also wears sunscreen in the fall/winter! Kudos~ Iol
