Regan, we have missed you, sorry that you are sick. And cold sores suck. I know you didn't ask but I have found the absolute best way to heal them. Go to the grocery store and get a bottle of organic vanilla extract, shake it up cuz sometimes there is a bit of settling and take a qtip and dip it in there. Then hold it on the cold sore for as long as you can handle, if it's cracked it does burn a bit. Do that a few times a day for as long as you can each time. You might get a little discoloration from the vanilla on your skin, but it kills the virus in like two or three days tops. You can do this if you feel one coming on and completely stop it in it's tracks and it won't show up at all. I swear it's a miracle worker!
