No, the DX7 was much better. Two of them actually, like DX7 II. You could program them. That bit of after processing with "Symphonic" or else, which was much better than any Roland Chorus, was then out boarded to these Yamaha effect units or mixers, where they actually belonged according to the spirit of these days.
@@oupahens9219 not better but different and a bit more allround which makes it a space saver in a smaller studio. Especially in times where there wern’t plugins yet.
