We pray to one god and I am not a chosen one that is Christianity who says that, I always hear it from them. Islam is very devoted to their faith and practice the religion fundamentally. Some Jews are very fundamentally religious but most American Jews identify as culturally Jewish. Meaning they don't practice the faith. In America there are people that have no faith at all. Muhammad Hijab, as an Orthodox Jew we believe there are 7 heavens and a place of punishment called Gehinnom with a number of compartments to it. But this place serves as a purification for entering the afterlife or an end to the soul. It is very complicated to explain and if you are interested I can do a tutorial about our beliefs on the afterlife.
Why do we choose life? Because when a person dies his deeds finish. The whole point of being sent into this world is to do Torah and mitzvot as a Jew. When a Jew is circumcised we bless the infant that he be fruitful in his collection of Torah and mitzvot.
Not only is he sent into this world for a purpose to refine, elevate and to accomplish goals such as preserving and teaching Judaism to the next generation [I.e. communal merit] but he also gathers up reward for himself. A mitzvah can only be accomplished with a soul and a body. A soul without a body cannot do a mitzvah. A mitzvah is specific. If it isn't done exactly the way God commanded it then it's not a mitzvah. Similarly a body without a soul is not alive.

They do have Jannati Adn (Gan Eden) and Jahannam (Gehinnom) referenced heavily throughout the Talmud. Even the Azab Qabr is mentioned, but their rabbis have lied to them and denied the Akhirah rejecting their own Talmud!

Just to clarify some divergences, being the chosen people doesnt mean preferred people but people that have to accomplish more tasks in order to be closer to the divine ( the jews have 613 commandments to be more holy, and the non jews have just 7 comandments) Jews believe they were chosen to spread the main messenge that god is one, also to receive the commandments from god as the profets became from them. With regards to the Jews being the chosen people, all it means is that we are chosen to be the examples, the role models of people that follow God. And the fact that many Jews in history and today don’t live up to that high standard, doesn’t negate the fact that that is still their job.
With regards to the value of life, Jews certainly understand that this life is fleeting and only temporary. There are many many parables in the Talmud reflecting the idea that “this world is but a hallway and the next is the palace”. As well as much emphasis on the futility of material gains.
