I swear this man releases a video for every car i want lmao. ive been wanting a tacoma the past few days and he release this video. helped me out a lot!
Tacoma is seriously the best mix if you want a very capable truck with perfect reliability and a small footprint. I have to travel in to LA too often, but I still need a good off road truck that can haul a bit and this checks all the boxes while still looking great. Cannot recommend it enough!
On my last pickup I had a K&N intake and a 3” Borla exhaust. It was a sweet sounding pickup. Before adding the K&N intake and the Borla exhaust I was getting 19mpg on the highway with the cruise set on 75mph. After adding the intake and exhaust I consistently got 23mpg and my truck had a Lot more get up and go
The one with the black widow sounded really similar to my 2000 Tacoma. Honestly the best mufflers for these are flowmaster super 10s. A friend has an 18 Tacoma with one and it sounds super good and doesn't drone
@Tommy Gunn Let me guess..... You never owned anything outside of a V8 truck. You know the saying about opinions and assholes kid. I went to a few cars and coffees in my V8 and V6 project cars and had quite a few complements on both. You don't like V6s or my cars? Oh well. 😄😄😄
The Borla does sound the best. I installed Borla on my Thunderbird and it sounds great you can only hear it when you step on the gas passing or getting on the freeway so now I am looking for something for my 2021 tacoma
@@ajya462 The carven tr is a fiberglass packed muffler/resonator. It change tone and make it deeper. The carven r is basically just a small expansion chamber, practically a straight pipe. It will be raspy and too loud. I would go with the carven tr it is plentyy loud enough.
top 3? More like the top 3 most obnoxious sound exhaust systems for the tacoma. Im sure the neighbors will love that straight piped truck.... I prefer the stock for a reason. Nice and quiet and not obnoxious sounding.
Just ordered my 2022 Army Green TRD 4X4 OFF ROAD 6spd manual Xp In S. Fl. The dealer said I was ordering a "Unicorn"..lol...well maybe in Florida, but not so much it seems in other parts of the country. I'd have to go with the Borla. The others sounded good, but reminded me of the kids and their little want-to-be Fast n Furious daily drivers.
I felt the other way, I thought the Borla sounded too close to stock, the straight pipes sounded pretty alright, but curious how different it might sound in real life compared to video relay
This video convinced me straight pipes might be the way to go. I know they're saying there was more rasp to it than the Black Widow, but in the video that didn't come across as being too different, so now I'm wondering if there is a big difference to the sound in real life. So Mr. @Exhaust Addicts, irl was the straight pipe super different from the Black Widow or pretty similar??
Don’t waist your time. Get a used TRD exhaust and call it a day. This v6 is not a screamer, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Cold air intake will give you extra volume inside the cab.
I believe any performance increase will not be noticeable unless tuned with a cold air intake on it as well.. just what I've read on forums. Might be around 10-25 hp gained depending on intake and tune..
How much would cost for the straight pipe? I just put a flowmaster on mine. And not really happy with it. Sounds more like a car. I like the way the straight pipe sounds. So if you can tell me how the straight pipe would be.
i've been researching tacomas. Is it normal and or popular to add loud mufflers(or whatever the terminolgy is to wanting a loud truck) to your truck? I really want a tocoma and have no idea which one i want and what i should look for in one.
Hey bud, it's 5 mo later so hopefully you got what you wanted lol. It's common to try and get more sound out of trucks. We're usually looking for making everything look, sound and act cooler lol

Hey man I just bought a 2021 tacoma almost 2 months and I love it. If you're thinking about it I definitely recommend getting one
I got my Tacoma about a year ago , and man it’s definitely worth every penny. Definitely recommend getting one 👍🏻
Get it just got mine worth it
They’re great reliable trucks. I’ve had mine for 3 yrs. I’d get another one in a minute.

That Borla pro xs sounds the best. I think I might get that on my Tacoma

Different engine right? This is the twin turbo v6, not the v8
@@andrewsolis2988 the Tacoma never had any turbo engine. Mine is a 3.4L V6. My friends is an 18 with the same engine as all the trucks in the vid
@@michaelbutkus4790 Geez. I was thinking of the Tundra 🤣 the new one has the 3.5 turbo
@@andrewsolis2988the new tundra has 3.4 and the the new Tacoma has a 2.4
All three sound decent but I got to go with Borla on this one. Especially when it breaks in.
@Tommy Gunn lol wait wut 😂

Best sounding exhaust for a 3.5 is either flowmaster flow FX or Carven TR. I have a single in dual out flow fx and I love it.
can you post a link for those?

The Borla is goin on my Tacoma for sure
Borla hands down is the best
This gets me excited when I can finally get work done on mine!

Really wanted to hear the black widow, too bad we had a non driver on that one
Borla sounds nice.
I have a 16 Tacoma off road with flowmaster super hp2 has deep growl and no high pitch plus a little rasp when you let off
Love the Borla exhaust

Sounds awful straight piped, but the Borla’s nice

Honestly sounds killer for a V6
Straight pipe sounds nice but a bit loud for my liking. Nice though!
Pro 4X is the Nissan Frontier man!!
I think I'd like to hear one with true dual exhaust
Like the borla muffler
I have a 2011 Highlander Limited with Borla exhaust and no rear resonator. Sounds beefy.
I did the borla pro xs on mine sounds great
Would be a decent sound for a little car but not what I want my Tacoma to sound like. To each his own.
the last onme was the best mpt too obnoxious very clean sound
Nice work. I was looking for what would sound good on my 2021 Tacoma Off Road
First one was amazing
Borla for sure!!!!
Went with a flowmaster flowFX. Sounds better than all these.
Do yall have a video of a tacoma v6 with true duals? just curious if that would actually sound good or not. my guess is not lmao
The first system gets most sound ? Seems like it . Thx for vid
URD Spec U. Highly recommend.
Man this sounds good!
Wonder what the decibels are stock?
I want to go 2 cat delete and dual straight pipes

Tacoma just need equal lenght exhaust to sound way better the unequal lenght from factory made it sound trash
What is the first exhaust
Any performance numbers?

I wish they made a v8 Tacoma
I just can't find an exhaust system that I like.
There isn’t one it’s not a big truck or a sporty car just be happy with what it has
Which is why keep it stock, friend
I personally wouldn't do this because it doesn't sound very sporty when it idles and you can tell just by the sound its a v6 small motor
Does it void your warranty by putting aftermarket exhaust on your truck?
No
Didn’t know those gen tacomas came stick shift
Only the higher end trims
It's more rare, I'm sad I wasn't able to get manual with my trd offroad but automatics are real nice too

to raspy any muffler sound deep low

How can a cat back be that loud loll

Holy smokes only 130 miles
I would never have the balls to straight pipe a brand new truck unless it was a diesel
Having an exhaust on a Tacoma is like having a Harley. A bunch of noise and little movement, silly lol
It sounds like Honda civic
Borla is best, others are rice a roni
Never compare a v6 sound..with a v8 sound..
Or a V6 to a V6 for that matter. The firing order is different than a V6 from a 350Z for example eventhough theyre the same 3.5 displacement
Sounds like a dirtbike.
Ricos tacos
TRD exhaust sounds awesome on these trucks. I have to thumbs down all 3 the above 👎
how was TRD exhaust different compared to these 3? I haven't heard it yet, was it quieter or deeper or what?
