I am so damn excited for this. I was really sceptical about the Remake series at first because I was disappointed with the changes, but now that I've gotten used to it I cannot wait to see what's in store! I'm so happy to see Vincent! I was afraid he wasn't going to appear until part 3!

Alexander, Kajuta, & Odin here, and we had a bunch in the original and Yuffie, so unknowns now are what? Hades, Titan, Typhon, Bahamut variations, and of course Knights of the Round - they've done so right by everything in the original FF7, I can't imagine they'll leave out KotR, so can.you.freaking.imagine how awesome that will be?!?
This looks like it might take us all the way up at least through Cloud in the Lifestream, based on the location of that hospital (looks identical to Mideel). Expanded re-visit to Midgar in FF7R part 3 maybe, and then into the crater?
The summon in between Alexander and Odin is Kujata from the original. You get it from the forest you go through when Aeris runs away, not long before she dies. I wonder how far you'll go through the story. The summons you get in Remake don't line up with Midgar (pretty sure you don't get summon materia in Midgar in the original) but with the exception of Bahamut (and even he's on Disc 1) they are generally the earlier ones in the game. And they had to put SOME summons in since Midgar was the whole game for Remake. But from now on I think they'll stick to the placement of them. You get Odin from Nibelheim and Alexander from the snow field area when Cloud first goes to the northern crater and hands over the black materia.
The scene in this trailer with the hospital curtains looks like where Cloud ends up in Mideel after he hands over the black materia - which is what triggers the WEAPONs appearing, which is referenced in the trailer. So I think there's some decent evidence, if not overwhelmingly strong, that we might get to Meteor being summoned. Might sound like a lot given the slowed pace of Remake but we'd still only be about 1/3 of the way through Disc 2 by the end of Rebirth, leaving the next game to do the next 2/3 and then Disc 3 (which is quite short IIRC).
Okay, they've actually said Rebirth is covering up to the end of Disc 1. So the third and final part has to cover Disc 2 and 3, though that's not too bad since 3 is very short.
Naturally there is a GS Date now with bonus datable character, Andrea Rhodea
And I think that is the Materia Keeper Cloud and seth are fighting.

My friend just got through telling me that Vincent is gonna be available in rebirth to which I'm like it was gonna happen since he did pop-up in disk 2 of the actual game lol. Regardless hes back so now hes gonna be tempted to get rebirth and all that's left is to hope He will still be voiced by Steve Blum.

He's actually in Disc 1. Most of what people remember about the game is actually Disc 1, like Aeris dying, even though it seems like it would be later.
@@matroska_5625 Yeah I keep forgetting that disc one in the original game was so fast that I did forget that you could get Vincent that early on.
I am so ready for this. I had to wait years after its release to play Part One, so five months should be mild by comparison.

First this morning or afternoon whatever with the Direct and now this. I swear this got me so HARD!!!!!! Like dude... what a day in general. I mean I just loss it at the sight of Vincent... all that's left for now is ours resident foul mouth dragoon Cid. His tea will be ready 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I'm beyond excited on watching this.

2:58 The one thing that confuses me about this scene is the background behind Aerith and Tifa. If this is under the shinra mansion, why is it so bright? Also If this is when they get to Neiblheim, why is Cait Sith there. He doesn't arrive until the Golden Saucer. My random theory is that, due to a wacky set of circumstances Vincent's coffin is going to be transported to, like, the Haunted House of Golden Saucer and that's when we will encounter him the first time.
As for Caith Sith, in the OG you get to Gold Saucer > Gongaga > Cosmo Canyon > Nibelheim
I wasn't that excited for part two but after seeing this, holy chocobo boning christ this trailer was visual porn. I know its a slim chance but I really hope they make my boy Vincent playable. Sadly looks like we might not get cid til part 3 but still holy hell

Im sensing that sephi isn’t sephi and its genova that’s controlling him in this game. He got his wing back from crisis core and the way he says am i even human. Could be from crisis core but zack is back. That screams to me that they might try to give him a redemption arc

He wonders if he's even human in the original, too. It's when he sees the monsters in the reactor at Nibelheim. Then of course, he starts down his delusional path that he's not human but an Ancient.

And he's right, he isn't really human but a kind of Jenova and human hybrid. I don't know if you remember, but when he falls into the lifestream, it actually rejects him and refuses to absorb most of him because of the Jenova cells (then he ends up at the northern crater with bits of his body missing that did actually get absorbed). One theory about Rebirth is that he's trying to fuse all these different timelines together and that the reunion isn't the same as in the original but is a reunion of the timelines (he basically says as much in the above trailer, "the reunion - when worlds merge,") so this is possibly just one of multiple Sephiroths, or one from the future.

Yeah I enjoyed you’re reaction Mage but personally I couldn’t care less about Rebirth, because ever since FF ditched being turn based I ditched them and that’s actually how I got into Dragon Quest, because they’re still a turn based series. So yeah I don’t really care about Rebirth and I have a PS5 too so I can actually play it but nah, I’ll pass. Still waiting on DQ3 HD 2D news and DQ12 news, and waiting for your DQ7 walkthrough XD

@@magemasher22 yeah definitely, as a western DQ fan it hurts seeing all the attention and love FF is getting from Square Enix because they know more people care about FF in the west obviously but damn does it hurt. I’ll still be holding out hope and patience just like how I’m holding out hope/patience for your DQ7 walkthrough. I will wait however long it takes Sir Mage 🫡🫡🫡
To be fair, the only FFs that are actually turn-based are 1, 2, 3 and 10 (well, and 10-2). The rest are all real-time. If you can just not do anything and the enemies can still act, like in the ATB system and other similar ones, that's not turn-based. It's real-time but with a cooldown between any action.
I'm not getting excited for Rebirth, we have been burned before remember?
