Nice axes. You should probably hang the Jauregui axe bit better onto the handle and drive in a circular metal wedge in there so it's more stable. You can also order a racing axe handle from José Ramón Jauregui, and that should eliminate any unpleasant vibrations which shock your hands. The J in Spanish is pronounced like a strong H in English, thus the name would be pronounced like this, pronounce as in English: HOW RE GUEE. That should get you quite close to the correct pronunciation: Cheers.
Consider lining your feet up slightly on your offhand side, left side, and swing directly over your head and down on a 45 on your offhand, and over your shoulder on your right side. Or you could move your feet. I have a video explaining the three methods of bucking if your interested, but regardless keep chopping and posting. Thanks
All axes used to come with very thin handles, compared to how they make them nowdays, (2-3 times thinner)! That was since forever and until 1940's where the machines, chainsaws etc, destroed the axe industry and most axe factories had to close down forever. You can't use an axe with such a thick handle, it will not only get you tired fast, means that at best, it limits the usage time, but also can easily damage your tendots which means you'll need surgeries and you'll still won't get back your hands, to a proper healthy condition. Also, an axe handle ,has to be flexible, for more reasons than that. For example it can easily break if you leave it thick as it comes. while if you properly thin it down, it will last way longer,won't break easily and the axe will also chop better. You also have, to get rid of any coat the handle has on it, becasue it will not allow to properly use the axe, as also, it will kill your hand's palms, if you keep using the axe like that. Why they now make them thick? Because people don't use them, and in the same time, people nowdays, dont know much about axes .So,that allows companies to bring down the production cost (less belts to grind down the handle more, some don't even grind the heads properly for the same reason) that allows for faster production, which also means more money for the maker! PS Dedicated splitting axes/mauls is a different tool. I would recommend Ben Scott's UA-cam channel, where you can learn more about axes. and a young boy, that knows way more than all of us, litearally the wonder boy called Milo Kolb. He also has a channel and you can find videos on both those channels, with all the Axe knowledge someone needs. I recommended those 2 , not just because of their great knowledge, but also because they both make cmpletely different style of videos, where ones videos, covers what the others didn't show.
I'm far from being an expert, I just live in the outdoors and the axe is my most essential tool, to survive the hars winters. I still have my grandfathers axe, which has a super thin handle, almost looks like a flat board! I'm sure you can search for older photos in the internet, which will also prove what I said above. Keep em sharp and stay safe!

That basque axe are made for south America they slip the handles like tomahawks are hung. Tribes buy them because they are cheap. The way you have it is dangerous. Don't use it like that you could kill someone!

The HB and Prandi are both 3.5lb (or close to it). The Basque is 1.5kg so pretty close to the same weight at about 3.3lb.

I have the axe exactly as Juaregi built it. Nothing dangerous about it (other than the typical dangers of axe usage).
