- I decided to jump from the VRSF Street Catback exhaust system and get the much louder VRSF Race Catback for my 2011 BMW 335i! The muffler delete makes a world of a difference & really brings out the raw sound of the N55. With a little bit of added drone over the Street catback, the Race catback makes the car very fun to drive.

Yeah seriously. I mean there’s tons of muffler delete videos but I don’t trust any ships around me and rather but a piece plus it’s not that expensive. Sounds great tho. You think it’s too loud for daily driving ?
@@DadUsed2Skate I currently daily drive it. When paired with a catless downpipe it is very loud and people around you will notice, for better or worse. If you're running the race exhaust with the OEM catalytic converter, then it's 100% daily-able.
It's possible to daily it without being too loud, although you will have to significantly modify your driving style in order to do so.
werqshop I appreciate the info man. I daily drive and have 2 kids and wife so that’s why I was iffy about getting it. Would love a valved exhaust but there so expensive

This is great. I've had the street exhaust with catless dp's for a while now and just ordered the race extension. Can't wait, I'm definitely ready to be obnoxious
@cgball10_ps3 You can purchase the street exhaust for $679. You can purchase the race exhaust for $679 as well. If you purchase the street exhaust and decide later you want to change to the race, you can simply buy the extension for $279.
The only difference between the two is that one has a muffler piece and the other is just straight pipe. You can swap them whenever you like.

My N54 has muffler delete and catless downpipes now I wanna get midpipes but they halted production for borla heard they're working on supersprint midpipes that haven't come out yet

You can definitely smell it. It’s not absolutely terrible but there’s a notable smell if you’re just idling or standing behind the car.
are you selling the street mufflers ? and do you have to buy the VRSF catback too or can you cut the old mufflers and keep the stock midpipe.
I kept my street muffler and used it during the winter. You can’t keep the stock kid pipe with this setup, you’ll need the entire catback.
Have you been to the dyno? Curious to know what numbers this is putting out on pump gas.
Im doing a very similar build on my f10 and wanting to know what i can expect.
Never went to the dyno, didn’t think it was worth it since it was just an OTS tune 🤷🏽♂️

There is certainly some rasp, but I think that it sounds proper. The exhaust doesn't sound super refined, it just sounds crazy haha

What front bumper and headlights do you have?
The headlights are just stock 2011-2013 335i headlights from the LCI model. The bumper is the stock M-Sport bumper!
why does it pop pop pop at the end notes?? can that be turned off with the mhd tune??? ur not the first iv seen that had to go to home depot for clamps? vrsf doesnt give u clamps with the exhausts they sell ??? did the street catback come with clamps?
The pops are a MHD tune option. Can be turned on or off, I’ve turned them off since. VRSF gives you clamps but they didn’t fit the race exhaust properly so we went to Home Depot.

I have a 2012 bmw 335 e92. Would this exhause fit? Cause on the VRSF website it says it cannot fit awd. Mine is awd. Is yours awd as well?
Mine is RWD. I don’t know if it’ll fit yours unfortunately 🤷🏽♂️
It can fit, but you have to hammer in part of the pipe so it can fit around the the axel or some shit. There’s a video on someone doing it

The street exhaust would probably be even quieter than a stock exhaust with a muffler delete to be honest w/ you. The race exhaust would be louder for sure though

I just installed this exhaust. It sounds amazing but its sooo loud. I wouldn’t really recommend for a daily driver. Its a super tight fit as well.

It is extremely loud. Tons of cabin drone on the highway with the windows up, even with music on. It’s super fun to rip around with the windows down, but if you need to commute in this car every single day I’m not sure I’d want to have the race exhaust on it

Is the street exhaust much louder than just being catless?
No! The street exhaust is actually very tame & quiet. My friend's car with a stock exhaust and catless downpipe was a little louder than my car with the street exhaust & downpipe.
@@werqshop Hey, so right now I have my e92 335xi with Stock exhaust and the catless vrsf down pipe. Will it be a waste to get the VRSF street exhaust as it relates to sound? I'm looking for something deeper/louder than stock + dp but not as loud as the race.
@@I3LAZEN get the street, you won't regret it. For the price it's the BEST sounding street exhaust set up there is on the market. The only comparable exhaust imo is the Corsa, but with a $2500 price tag and 2.5" piping, you're getting a small performance upgrade and huge sound upgrade. With the VRSF you're getting a definite performance upgrade and almost on par with Corsa sound. If Corsa's tone is a 10, VRSF street is a 9.

@@I3LAZEN I wouldn't recommend anyone cut the cats off and keep the mufflers. Where the factory exhaust has to bend around anything it necks down to 1 inch so what you're left with is an extremely shitty sound. Since you still have to spend the money to get pipe and get bent, install, etc you're looking at only a couple hundred bucks cheaper (if at all) with no performance increase, and shit sound.

I don't use a downpipe fix, so I can't answer that, but I just passed emissions inspection by reinstalling the OEM catalytic converter
@@werqshop I would hate reinstalling the cats, so this wire should pass emissions than I'll take it out, might just run mhd stage 2+ after
@@GODISGOOD1916 dps are hard asf to see and require removing the plastic underneath the car. If you're not throwing codes I'd leave em alone and try my luck. Highly doubt they're going to go through an hours worth of work to visually check for cats on your dps
@@stephenlevy6517 Lol all my covers underneath are off because it came like that. I have a wire that'll read the voltage level the same as the catalytic converters even though they're downpipes. It's the vrsf downpipe fix which doesn't sell through vendors anymore. I just need to know if I can run it on while I drive instead of just running it through smog and taking the cel fux wire out.
@@GODISGOOD1916 yeah you lost me. I honestly have no idea what wire you're talking about when it comes to this wire or know why it's needed. A smog testing device reads emissions and I'm unsure how a wire can change what it reads. I've even tried to look up what you're talking about but can't find anything.

I got bmw 335i n55 and I’m getting the race exhaust with the race downpipe will I need to tune it?
If you install a catless downpipe on a car without a tune, you’re going to have a check engine light. I recommend installing an MHD tune 👍🏻

The app tells you which tune is recommended for your setup. If all you’re doing is a downpipe and exhaust, Stage 2.

It was too much drone for me. I put the muffler back on during the winter because I’m rarely driving my car spiritedly anyway. I’ll probably throw the race back on in spring time

Rey Perez Yeah i’m an n54 with a single turbo running the race exhaust with a bottle resonator and there is some drone doing 70-80 with cruise on but music will block it out but gave the car a nice sound and took away all the nasty rasp

There’s a lot. If the car isn’t your daily driver, it’s totally manageable. If you drive in traffic to work/school, I think it’s too much drone
