- Sir Handel and Duncan were upset about the thin clergyman's son's new book about the narrow gauge and let their opinions know, which may've costed the railway's friendship.

RIP Wilbert Awdry, We hope you’re having a great time in heaven.
Well said Awdry was a legend
Rest in Peace, Wilbert Awdry. We all miss you. Thank you for making us the train series we love to this day.
Lovely Story! Funnily enough I was born the year Awdry died, 1997.
Loved both is work and Christopher’s growing up! It’s what got me hooked onto railways!
I was born in Feb 1996 just a few days before he was given his special award. what Sir Handel and Duncan said reminds me of the historic complaints made by people who had complained about the lack of female engine characters in the books
This honours the memory of the great man who brought Thomas the tank engine and friends to us all. Thank you Wilbert Awdry. Rest in peace.
This is a lesson to us all of being careful of what we say to elderly people, we never know when they would pass away.
He’s a great man. His stuff was in display at Tywyn Wharf from the Talyllyn Railway and Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends legacy still carries on to this very day. We’ll miss you, Wilbert. I hope you made your parents, your wife Margaret, your elderly children and your grandson Richard proud. I wish to meet a famous person like you.
Rest in Peacefully
Reverend Wilbert Awdry
1911 - 1997
Wilbert Awdry is the best Thomas story writer we have ever known.
He is the one who created Thomas and other characters from the books he made.
Rest in peace,Awdry and thank you for bringing Thomas and his friends to this world
R.I.P
Reverend Wilbert Awdry
You gave so many wonderful memories and your stories are still loved by people young and old.
Such an Emotional Story, Well done NWR 1991 and also R.I.P. Rev. W. Awdry.
I can personally relate to this episode because it made me realize some errors I’ve made throughout my life. I’ve said some bad things to others and regretted them later on. This episode has taught me a valuable life lesson which I have taken for granted and that is: be carful about what you say to others just because you feel a certain way doesn’t mean you should take it out on others. And just because you have an opinion doesn’t mean others will agree with you everyone is entitled to their opinion you just have to be carful in how you express it and there’s a time and place for expressing opinions. This episode has also taught me about being assertive. That’s where you express your opinion in a critical way without offending others. I just wish others could realize and understand this. With all that being said keep up the good work NWR1991 and Rest In Peace Rev. W. Awdry (1911-1997).
I too said things I regretted including the things I did, but we all go through that in life and we can learn from our mistakes.
Agreed we all do and say stupid things and are youth, but hey it encourages us not to make those mistakes again
Damn, how do you keep coming up with these seemingly natural stories that fit in so well with the timeline of the show and the books
As harsh as Sir Handel and Duncan's words were... they were right. Great Little Engines wasn't a very good book at all. But the final words they ever spoke to the Thin Clergyman... okay, that was really sad. Great job.
Great little engines one of my favorite restaurants books
May the creator rest in peace, nice plot by the way
Rest In Peace Wilbert Awdry. A wonderful man with a wonderful creation.
Another well done episode in your series. I hadn't expected anything less. You adapt the series extremely well.
The reverend Wilbert Awdry will be remembered forever.
RIP reverend Wilbert Awdry 1911-1997

RIP Wilbert Awdry from 1911 to 1997 We all miss you and i think that thomas and his friends will miss You to god rest wilbert😥😥
A great story! Keep up the good work!
RIP
Wilbert Awdry, you will be miss 😔
I feel like taking what this episode taught us in consideration, what I say to someone could be my last words towards them. I have many regrets in life of what I say and I need to watch what I say.
Rest In Peace Wilbert Awdry.
Great story!
An emotional episode! I too was shocked that Sir Handel and Duncan said their negative criticism to both Wilbert and Christopher Awdry after the publication of "Great Little Engines", and that does happen to most people when they say such things that maybe regrettable. This is also one of those rare times where the characters are saddened by Wilbert's passing. And you did a great job diving into that scene.
Also, I hope you don't mind me asking, but I'm just curious to know if you have plans to have Spencer as the main lead in your series.
I don't have any plans for Spencer at the moment.
Wow, amazing how it tied into Christopher Awdry's books, as well as the passing of Wilbert. 😢 To be fair, publishers did push Christopher. But this is a perfect moral about whether your words to someone are the last. 👍
Rest easy Wilbert, we miss you
😮wow what an emotional episode 😢

I'm a little late. But R.I.P to Wilbert Awdry. And this was nice

@@NWR1991 Thank you👍
Rip Wilbert Awdry
Why are Duncan and Sir Handel painted with a red livery?
Rws
The question should be why did they all change from RWS livery to TVS livery at the last scene
@@dannygmtg If you watch 'A New Coat For Rheneas' you'll know why.
@@NWR1991 must’ve missed that one. Will go back and give it a watch
