Mario's Madness V2 made me realize how mid was the V1 songs, and I'll be the first to admit that back in those days I called those V1 songs "Absolute Bangers"... EXCEPT Race Traitors in which I thought that the V1 was slightly better than V2, mainly because the Instrumental used more Mario Kart-ish sounds and I preferred the Mario Sunshine Screams as R4cist Mario's Voice. Oh and also, biggest glow-up goes to It's-A-Me. It straight up went from the most boring ass song ever to a f*cking masterpiece, and I still constantly replay it for hours on my music playlist to this day!

Sincerily, Powerdown and I Hate You is safe, but Golden Land (Edge rock Song), Alone (Literally "Oh GOD No" feeling), It's a me (the chromatics and saturation make a strange feeling), Apparition (weak hype) and Race traitors (the people literally just like the stupids chromatics and make a desnecessary hate on the new) can disappear.

The ONLY thing that could be improved on in V2 is a melody in the instrumental, because it really does not have too much. while in v1, it IS too much. So yeah. V2 is better. i will die on this hill.

I used to listen to Alone V1 as calm background music while I did homework during high school. Once V2 came out, I was kinda sad that the song completely changed. However, I decided to listen to it numerous times and I came to appreciate this version of Alone a WHOLE lot more. Juno Songs also made a lyrical cover for the song so that’s even better.

I don't hate any of the old songs (besides the old Race Traitors), but the new ones are definitely better. The old Mario's Madness songs do have a soft spot for me, mostly cuz nostalgia for the early days of FNF (yes, I have 2020s nostalgia now)

Its a Me (i enjoyed it as to ME, it kinda gave an erie vibe when i listen to it, and i love me some scary things a WHOLE lot) 2. I Hate You (Just the quick pacing is honestly a goated thing on the song, it doesnt make it number 1 but it was still such a banger indeed) 3 (2 way tie). Golden Land (i honestly thought it was a normal ass Mari-o, until he suddenly popped into his true self, really caught me off guard which deserves 3rd, nothing really catched me off guard often) 3 (2 way tie). Apparition ( a goated song in general, definitely will comeback to have a listen, its not a bad song in general its just, wonderful, sure, Wario Apparition was my favorite when V1 was around, and STILL IS, ill remember the V1 and V2 was a great Wario song in general, even if Wario only got one official song too himself "not counting All Star's Act 2 Wario" its a memory in my heart to behold upon) 4. imma be honest racist mario's vocals in v1 were more fitting considering what time period the song was based on yk the old ytpmv days also preferred the trumpets since they were louder in v1, felt more intense new powerdown feels kind of cluttered with the vocals in a few places, melody gets muddied by some of the extra notes, other than that it's an improvement alone v1 and v2 are too different to draw comparisons, v1 feels sadder but v2 sounds better same case for its-a-me v2, but v2 is definitely preferred IHY v2 is a massive improvement over the original, kept the vocals and melodies mostly the same and just ramped up the instrumental Apparation v2's wario chromatic sounds too obnoxious and electronic, not at all befitting the fact he's supposed to be a ghost, other than that it's alright Golden Land is a hard choice for me, I'd say v2 is better but i miss the guitar from the old one
Out of everything; Alone v1 & v2 could exist in their own worlds for me. I like the slow pace depressing tone that v1 gives. Whilst i appreciate the tone and overall upgrade in v2. And as an added note, Race Traitors v1 is significantly better than v2 in my opinion. I just want to hear Mario scream the entire time. :3

Apparition in both version I feel like are mid but the V2 IS A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT. I liked Alone V1 but V2 took its Melancholy and stabbed you with it in the best way possible. It’s a Me v1 my only thing I wish they had for v2 was the Music box esque sound that’s it. Both I hate You’s are Great and so are the Golden lands but GL V2 went from Dominating Presence to Audio Assault in the best way possible (apparently the majority complaint with v2 is the missing guitar which fair but I don’t feel like we were missing much). Powerdown is fine but compared to v2 where it felt like you might actually die if you fail this song Via Boot Crush. V1 had this vibe of fighting someone who is like half a foot taller than you and is 50lbs heavier. Unbeatable V1 had a Decent Bf Chromatic I wish someone would make a V2 cover but the only change is the Bf Chromatic to the v1 chromatic cause I just need to hear it. And finally Race traitors. I fucking DESPISED the Mario chromatic but I loved the song. A love hate relationship. V2 basically made it into something I could love. People that like v1 are either Nostalgic or just really like IHY and GL v1 so much they just ignore the rest of the bad. Not saying that’s a bad thing but like still. Only problem with golden land v2 is that they removed the poison mushrooms from v1 so there is like no challenge in the song so it’s a little anticlimactic
In V1 horror M and GB were used to be the same entity which is the reason why golden land V1 had poison mushrooms mechanism but in V2 horror M and GB are now completely different beings
Honestly, I can vibe with nearly all the songs from V1 of the mod. V1 obviously had a lot of unrealized potential (which mostly came to fruition in V2 anyways), but I really don't think any of the other songs were *bad*. It's-a Me gets a lot of crap for Mario's mediocre vocals (which is a valid point tbf) but the instrumental actually made it work somewhat well. V2 simply did it better, which is normal (any remake of a song should be generally better). Alone is a pretty good example of "less is more". Don't get me wrong, I love the new version like crazy, but the old one is kinda underrated imo. Yeah it wasn't the best, but it was far from bad. My only gripe is that Luigi's vocals didn't stand out enough compared to BF at some parts. Both Powerdown and Apparition were solid as hell in V1, I don't care what anyone else says. I will say, I actually have a slight preference towards Apparition V1, the instrumental and Wario's vocals meshed together more nicely compared to V2. Golden Land is weird because I like the intro section in V1, but most of the rest was done better in V2 (aside from few minor things). Either way, they both go hard. IHY was already a banger in V1 too, and the new version is even better. Race Traitors V1 was mediocre at best; at least V2 sounded more like a proper song...

Legit Powerdown V2 is way better than the uh, v1 thing. Mx was so small, and uh, he was like, idk a tree. He became gloaith in the new one My point is, powerdown V2 is clearly more musically sufficient than V1 was.
I literally can't stand Alone V1 unless it's at like 1.25x speed. I remember a comment on Alone V2 and they said something like, "They turned this absolute nothing burger song into a musical masterpiece." Still to this day, "nothing burger" is the best way I've ever heard somebody describe a song.
Time for my honest thoughts. I like both versions of It's a Me, Golden Land, and I Hate You equally. The V2 of Alone and Race Traitors are better. While the V1 of Apparition and Power Down are honestly better.
Okay. Powerdown, golden land, i hate you, and race traitors were good. only reason i include race traitors was because of the megalovania reference inside the game files.
The only one I kinda understand people preferring the V1 version of is (oddly enough) Race Traitors, since the chromatic was just Mario Screaming and that video is iconic, but... yeah the other V1 songs are kinda trash, especially Alone.
I liked pretty much all of the V1 songs (Except Its A Me V1 it was ass) but the remasters are (In my opinion, don't start a war) infinitely better then their V1 counterparts.

I don't hate any of the old songs (besides the old Race Traitors), but the new ones are definitely better.
The old Mario's Madness songs do have a soft spot for me, mostly cuz nostalgia for the early days of FNF (yes, I have 2020s nostalgia now)

hey, i dont mind these opinions, i dont wanna change things, but if i made a tier list of V1 songs i think are 'good to bad', itd be...
1. Its a Me (i enjoyed it as to ME, it kinda gave an erie vibe when i listen to it, and i love me some scary things a WHOLE lot)
2. I Hate You (Just the quick pacing is honestly a goated thing on the song, it doesnt make it number 1 but it was still such a banger indeed)
3 (2 way tie). Golden Land (i honestly thought it was a normal ass Mari-o, until he suddenly popped into his true self, really caught me off guard which deserves 3rd, nothing really catched me off guard often)

Apparition ( a goated song in general, definitely will comeback to have a listen, its not a bad song in general its just, wonderful, sure, Wario Apparition was my favorite when V1 was around, and STILL IS, ill remember the V1 and V2 was a great Wario song in general, even if Wario only got one official song too himself "not counting All Star's Act 2 Wario" its a memory in my heart to behold upon)
4. Powerdown (an already good song, not enough to make it on the pedastols.. 'cant spell for shit'.. but still a banger in its own rights)
5. Race Traitors (a nice song, sure, but the vocals just made it... kinda goofy, which, SURE, made it a nice song, i just found it off from the mod it was in 'WHEN I FIRST SEEN THE MOD')

Alone (................... yyyyeeeaahhh, nah, i used to enjoy it from the past.... not anymore, its such a god awful song, that it felt like 'too me' shouldnt of been in the mod in the first place, however V2 makes it like its own official song, if i EVER get the question 'which Version did it better Alone V1 or Alone V2?' you HELLA BET imma pick V2 off the rip, no queetions asked just SEND IT!!!!)

IHY v2 is a massive improvement over the original, kept the vocals and melodies mostly the same and just ramped up the instrumental
Apparation v2's wario chromatic sounds too obnoxious and electronic, not at all befitting the fact he's supposed to be a ghost, other than that it's alright
Golden Land is a hard choice for me, I'd say v2 is better but i miss the guitar from the old one
Out of everything; Alone v1 & v2 could exist in their own worlds for me. I like the slow pace depressing tone that v1 gives. Whilst i appreciate the tone and overall upgrade in v2. And as an added note, Race Traitors v1 is significantly better than v2 in my opinion. I just want to hear Mario scream the entire time. :3

Apparition in both version I feel like are mid but the V2 IS A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT. I liked Alone V1 but V2 took its Melancholy and stabbed you with it in the best way possible. It’s a Me v1 my only thing I wish they had for v2 was the Music box esque sound that’s it. Both I hate You’s are Great and so are the Golden lands but GL V2 went from Dominating Presence to Audio Assault in the best way possible (apparently the majority complaint with v2 is the missing guitar which fair but I don’t feel like we were missing much). Powerdown is fine but compared to v2 where it felt like you might actually die if you fail this song Via Boot Crush. V1 had this vibe of fighting someone who is like half a foot taller than you and is 50lbs heavier. Unbeatable V1 had a Decent Bf Chromatic I wish someone would make a V2 cover but the only change is the Bf Chromatic to the v1 chromatic cause I just need to hear it. And finally Race traitors. I fucking DESPISED the Mario chromatic but I loved the song. A love hate relationship. V2 basically made it into something I could love. People that like v1 are either Nostalgic or just really like IHY and GL v1 so much they just ignore the rest of the bad. Not saying that’s a bad thing but like still.

Honestly, I can vibe with nearly all the songs from V1 of the mod. V1 obviously had a lot of unrealized potential (which mostly came to fruition in V2 anyways), but I really don't think any of the other songs were *bad*.
It's-a Me gets a lot of crap for Mario's mediocre vocals (which is a valid point tbf) but the instrumental actually made it work somewhat well. V2 simply did it better, which is normal (any remake of a song should be generally better).
Alone is a pretty good example of "less is more". Don't get me wrong, I love the new version like crazy, but the old one is kinda underrated imo. Yeah it wasn't the best, but it was far from bad. My only gripe is that Luigi's vocals didn't stand out enough compared to BF at some parts.
Both Powerdown and Apparition were solid as hell in V1, I don't care what anyone else says. I will say, I actually have a slight preference towards Apparition V1, the instrumental and Wario's vocals meshed together more nicely compared to V2.
Golden Land is weird because I like the intro section in V1, but most of the rest was done better in V2 (aside from few minor things). Either way, they both go hard.
IHY was already a banger in V1 too, and the new version is even better.

I like both versions of It's a Me, Golden Land, and I Hate You equally. The V2 of Alone and Race Traitors are better. While the V1 of Apparition and Power Down are honestly better.
