Matt. Thank you for taking the time you do doing just like this. I'm quite ignorant with the boating ownership life and you, along with a few others are helping me become educated on the subject. I am shopping at the time now. The information you have provided is helping me immensely. Thank you again. You are appreciated.
@@BoatBuyersSecretWeapon Thank you for the rapid reply. As I've got you here, may I pick your brain about approximate worth/value of one I'm looking at? I hate to write "books' on these reply sections but have a lot of detail of a unique possible deal I've got in the scheme going on with an 06 24ft'r I've found local to me
@@bbqworld2103 Firstly... This time of year is the time to buy. Buyer competition is fewer and a lot of times people are selling is out of desperation. I bought something quite different than the one I mentioned..... much newer and much nicer. Of course, price followed along with the analogies I've given. It's a Harris Crowne model. 28' It's got a couple engines on the back to keep up with most of those "fast boats" and handle better than many of them! Fun to embarrass them!
easy solution to your sound issues is to just block your mic from the wind with your hand! Great information. Still debating whether or not I want to buy new or used so this was very informative!!
Hi Captain Matt - How does a sea trial work if you custom order a boat? Do you have a right to refuse the boat if the manufacturer perhaps didn't do a diligent job constructing it? I've read about all the supply chain woes and consumer demand pressures. I wonder if some manufacturers are cutting corners to get product out to market.
Dude, next time don't keep sucking that snot back up your nose. Take a moment, pause the video and blow your nose. I didn't count but its gotta be over 25 times man. Just to help you out. Very distracting.
I had a compression check done via a computer hookup. Tech turned the motor over but did not crank to get a reading. Compression was within 5% across the cylinders. Are these type checks valid or the other way to check via spark plugs?
That was SO well done! You know your stuff! Thanks!
Matt.

Boat Buyer's Secret Weapon wish we still lived in MO, I would come down to the lake to help me pick out a boat! 😀
Thank you for this great advice and knowledge!
@@BoatBuyersSecretWeapon looking to purchase a used pontoon boat. Been learning a lot from you about boats. Once again thank you!

Great information that can be used for any used boat purchase. The ability to download the motor history is well worth the cost. Thanks

Don’t understand the question…
Are compression checks done with a computer hookup dependable as compared to the old fashioned way of pulling a spark plug?
