I think Benidorm has something for everyone. Great beaches, great promenade, range of hotels to suit all tastes, great bars and restaurants and great weather. How can anyone complain? You could visit the Sol Pelicanos hotel where the series was filmed. Great hotel!
Stopped there twice and once when they was filming there few years since I’ve been to Benidorm but it’s like marmite you either love it or hate it I enjoy the place
That looks like one of the best cooked full English Breakfast's I've ever seen. Looks fresh, and not covered in bits of 'Bits' from the oil, like you see on some. Those bloody sauce sachets Lee. When I worked for a pub, we did English Breakfasts till 3 pm. We had all those Heinz sachets, Tomato and Brown Sauce. NOT ONE of the customers could open them, and were always complaining. Why they make them, I will never know.

Reminds me of when me and the Mrs booked a few days in Liverpool, booked well in advance, but unfortunately the Queen passed away and our first day coincided with her funeral and everywhere was closed and our hotel was bed only, we trudged around for ages until we finally found a place called The Old Bank that was open, definitely recommend it if you're ever in Liverpool again...👍👍👍

The Avenues Cafe is right at the end of the Avenues, its on the corner of Gedling street. If you had kept walking up that avenue when you see Avenue E thats been renovated at around 30mins in you would have seen it. Great videos Lee and keep up the good work.👍🏻

Welcome back, Lee and wishing you a happy new year too. Glad to hear you're refreshed after your break. Shame the cafe you were originally going to was hard to find, but I think you were looking in the wrong place. After a quick search, the cafe seems to be at 13 Gedling Street and it's called Avenues Cafe. Anyway, the cafe you finally found was nice enough and I couldn't find anything really not to like about the breakfast other than no tinned tomatoes, Grrrr!
I'm not really a fan of your Spanish trips video's like Lanzarote, Tenerife etc, but I might give the Benidorm one a go as I went there once on only my second ever holiday abroad which was over 40 years ago, so nothing will be the same. Enjoyed today's video though.

January 2003 was my first visit to Benidorm. My friend Julie had an all inclusive deal for two but she had finished with her boyfriend and asked me if I wanted to accompany her. Now I was a little worried about Benidorm, having seen all the bad press about it, but as it was a free offer I accepted the invitation. Julie is now my wife, so Benidorm has a lot to answer for haha. I absolutely loved the place, so much so that Julie and me have visited over 30 times before the covid lockdown. We actually went 5 times one year! Just about every town or city has dodgy places, but if the newspapers and TV only show that, it doesn't mean that the whole place is like that. Derren Litten who wrote the Benidorm series felt apprehesive about what the place was like when he began it, he now lives there and has a bar called Mateos, the name of the Spanish waiter in the series.

Benidorm the series was an aquired taste, I loved it. Apart from the main cast, it featured; Keith Barron, Shane Richie, Sheridan Smith, Hale and Pace, Joan Collins, Nigel Havers, Su Pollard, Cilla Black, Chuckle Brothers and many, many more.
Welcome back, I am well jealous that you are going to Benidorm, I love the place. Not so much for all the English bars but for the old town, so Spanish lol, funny that. It's one of my favourite places. Hope you enjoy it. Hold onto your valuables in crowded places, as is the norm in many tourist resorts, the pickpockets flourish.
HeyLee! Happy new year and glad to see you back fully recharged after your break. January in my experience - its a flat month. IBoth my husband and I have our birthdays mid this month and nobody wants to celebrate with you as people just don’t have any money due to Christmas and new year. Benidorm I think just reminds me of Blackpool abroad except it doesn’t have a tower. But the long strip of beach, sunshine is there and the promenade is so similar. It’s nice to just go somewhere different. Take no notice of the snobs. You see for yourself on what you think at the end of the day. Glad to hear Geoff is okay. Take care 😘👍🏻
