The version that you may have heard is by P Sesheela from the movie Atisaya Penn (Tamil). The movie was released in 1959 Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/IFk6I015nq8/v-deo.html There also exists a male version by T M Sounderarajan but that track is not easy to find. The movie was a remake of the Hindi movie Asha (1957). Since the producer & director was the same for both the versions, (M V Raman), the remake was a natural consequence.
@@ArchismanMozumder Interesting. Thanks. Here is another cover that made it in films all over the world including India. There is something about us that loves gibberish. A precursor to rap (c silent)? ua-cam.com/video/Z9WaIoxmN8I/v-deo.html

Nostalgic. I heard this for the first time off a 78 rpm in 1957 Ernakulam. As far as I know, this was Kodambakam and NOT Bollywood.
