- I got tired of the tan interior on my car so I did the full conversion to black. The whole process took about 2 weeks waiting for parts and paint to dry. Other than that, it was fun and I hope this video helps!

I did that to my 2005 type s,just paint the dash a door panels with that spray paint cause i didn't want to deal to take the dash out..bro and came out perfect 2 yrs now and no scratch..good stuff

How many black spray cans did you use?
I think about 6-7.
i have 5 sets of black interior. i sell them for a good deal. Window you can remove and paint for cheaper alternative
Couple of questions did you buy a black carpet? Did you mask the dash and paint it? Do you have any smell from the paint in the car?
No I painted the carpet black and it's held up really well. No smell after airing out the car for 2-3 days after I finished. I also painted the dash and used a glue adhesive so it sticks better. My car is always garaged so it doesn't sit out in the sun. No smell!
Did you use flat black or gloss black?
Can i use gloss black on evrything? Because thats all my store has
Hi! I used Flat Black..I actually ordered them off Amazon. I think if you use Glossy, everyone will look super shiny; not sure if you like that look? I personally like the flat look because it looks more melow and flows with the car better. Up to your own personal taste though, good luck with your project!

Hey man! I got the wheel from Balladesports here in SoCal. I might switch over to a leather one, alcantara tends to fade after a few years.

Where did you get the window trim? Hard to get out and install?
I got the window trim from K Series parts and it's super easy. Just pop it out and slide in the new one. Just be careful so you don't scratch your paint.
So i just got my 2nd Rsx as well and I’m looking to do the same thing and this video is a god send! Did you paint the dashboard or was that replaced with a used black one and if you painted it could you do a whole video on how that process was with some close up shots of it because that’s what I’m most interested in since I’d hate to swap my dash and loose my Oem vin plate, thanks in advance. Yes I will try but I got nothing to paint now lol. Just make sure you get all the things I mentioned on this video. And PREP well because that is critical. I had to redo a few items because I didn't prep enough. I painted my dash and didn't want to take everything apart because it's a lot of work and I am not comfortable with it. I bought some rear panels and door panels and new floor mats but other than that, painted everything else.
i have a acura rsx type s with 103k miles but suspensions sucks and the front and rear bumber i have to reaplace i would love to have some advice on a front and rear bumper to get to replace it my exhaust didnt fit on the stock bumber so it started to melt.

yes sir, I painted it with the same material as i did for the panels and it's held up well about 1.5 years later!
Did it make the rubber part of the dash shiny?

I recently painted my dash and doors with the same paint but I didn’t use primer bc I was told I didn’t need it... There’s a few scuffs here and there but it’s holding up pretty well. Question is, have you cleaned the inside after painting? If so what do you use? I don’t want to damage the paint.
Yes I have tried to clean it and I was very gentle when using a microfiber towel. I think if you're too rough, it might scuff, but I don't mind as long as the paint doesn't flake or scratch. I used a microfiber towel and Meguirs Plastic protectant and put very light pressure. You can also get a duster broom and feather it, but I think you'll be alright using a microfiber. How long has it been since you painted?

No I sent the extra $300 and bought OEM black seatbelts! (Used)
This could had been avoided if all of the rsx-s had the black interior from factory instead of that ugly tan interior.
How did you change seat color
I bought new front and back seats, I didn't paint them. All the plastic panels I painted except for the side door panels.
