I speak English as a first language, and I don't even know when to use "whom". That said, I'm from the East coast of Canada and we're not known for our grammar.

I’m confused as to why people were hoping for this to be an extension… as if 28 shades in the Metropolis palette isn’t enough 💀 The mini is probably catered to those who don’t have the Metropolis palette, so for those of us who don’t have it, it’s not redundant in the slightest. Anyway, always love the looks that you do!!

I think the thing is that in the past that is how the minis have been. They have been extensions of a palette or like a sister palette. Similar enough, but still different.

I think this palette for people who don’t own ND and also for gifts. People will be curious about her other shadow palettes. Me I am that unusual unicorn that loves all things mini. My largest palettes is the UD honey palette. Also the included synthetic brush was super soft, I questioned it it was squirrel haired. I would use the bone shade to set my primer.
Your version of the mini palette would have been perfect colors for the holiday season as well.

I just bought the Gold palette after I saw Sephora put it back on the website, so I have no business buying the big Metropolis. This mini Metropolis is perfect for me!! I love all 5 shades, even the boring bone shade. Mine will be in tomorrow! Yay 💚💛
The color story as-is, paired with the brush make this a perfect gift. As much as I like Angie's version, this one will be more useful to the people who need makeup they can wear at work.

See, as someone who does not have the Metropolis and has quite a few palettes in her collection already, this is actually a perfect size! I do fully agree on the bone-coloured matte though, it's a complete throwaway shade for anyone lighter than fair tbh!
I was so happy to see this mini come out because I could not spend for the full Metropolis palette and now I can have a small taste of it. Love your look! So sultry and beautiful.
This palette is to bring people into the brand at Christmas - ND doesn’t usually dupe in the minis and the Metropolis is already 28 shades so it isn’t one that needs 5 additional shades to expand the story like the midis
I just saw the selfie you took with this look on your IG story, and I can say for sure that if that picture was a headshot for the miss universe competition (if you were participating), you would definitely get an insanely high amount of votes because that picture is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! 🤩❤️ I LOVE IT💚💛✨
I'm so happy about this because the Metropolis palette has the older red formula that I'm allergic to. Finally, that fantastic green in a palette that doesn't feel like a waste of money!

In a way I understand this mini. Metropolis is so expensive that this gives more people a chance to try it’s color story. The bone shade is Tusk from the Biba palette.

I was wondering if you ever tried the Rude Cosmetics Roaring 20's palettes, they're super colorful and HIGH quality for a low price! The Reckless one is the kind of palette that I'd pick up first if my room ever caught on fire. I would LOOOOVE to hear your opinions on them! The colour schemes are right up your alley too haha
I totally agree!! I feel like that brand is totally under rated . I have the Roaring 20s Carefree ( Mauves/pinky/purples ) & I think it’s pretty good. I heard it’s a dupe for Huda Nude palette.
@@mariellazavala72 I have that one too and while I do agree it’s a great palette & I use it a lot, the mattes in it aren’t as good as in the other two 🤔 STILL, I don’t regret ever purchasing it and I would do it again if (hypothetically) I ever were to lose it, the shimmer formula is insane!! Hoping that Angie gets to try them one day!

I wanted the Reckless palette as well cause it looks fabulous! It was sold out when I wanted to order it, though (to Germany). I have the Neon and it is so pretty to wear and also as decoration for my apartment instead of a picture in a frame. 🥰

I can’t handle this color combo in the mini palette. 🔥 Since I don’t have the big palette and I’m not sure, if I need a whole thing, I think, I could go for this one for a try. Absolutely love that gold & emerald combo, it’s so well going with Fall-ish/upcoming festive season. ♥️
I think the color story is beautiful. I don’t own the Metropolis, but I agree. I would’ve wanted coordinated colors instead of overlapping ones.

I just adore you, Angie. Not only are you so beautiful, and your personality is a hoot, but you bring us in close for the makeup application. And that makes such a difference. I completely agree. It hits more of the high points of Gold than the mini Gold.

I love the colors you chose for your mock up. The red and deeper yellow really make it so much more versatile than the bone color.

That yellow and brown shade together, some liner, mascara, that's my everyday look. Pop the bone matte in the inner corner (been loving that lately), and I'm awake, I can take on my day (and my kids 😂). I still have a sloppy bun, and yoga attire on, but my eyes are done and poppin' Beautiful look. Thanks!!

I feel the same way, wishing it were 5 new shades! Metropolis is my favorite, and I was so thrilled at the thought of having an extension of it that I could easily take when traveling. But I just have no reason to purchase the mini since it's 3 repeat shades and a pale matte that I wouldn't use
Im with you! 5 new shades would be enticing. I don’t own a ND palette, and it’s redundant even for my collection. I kept wanting to get one but I guess the price tag gets me, so this size would be perfect.

Angie, a suggestion. I think it would be great to add a close up photoshoot of your finished looks with lashes after the tutorial like Annette's makeup corner does. Also using a phone flashlight to capture all the sparkles on the eyes would be great to see.
I’ve seen several videos on this palette and yours is head and shoulders more beautiful than any of the others IMHO. Creative use of the teal color as a liner. Love that, Angie! Until your video, this one was not even a consideration. Now I am wanting it and I definitely don’t need another palette. Actually came back to leave this comment and now I’ll have to re-watch!

I understand for people who already have the larger palettes wanting new shades but I always think if it’s a mini version of the same name it’s for people who want a small version with the same vibe so the repeat shades make sense.

I got the mini for my mom. I think it's perfect for her. She doesn't have alot of makeup and the mini is perfect for her.
I love this palette because I like to use the mini palettes more anyway. I get overwhelmed by bigger palettes and often ending up don't using them because of that and I also travel often with my makeup. For me this palette is perfect as I often use those bone shades under my browbone and inner corner and I love dark green together with gold. So with this small palette I have everything I need. With the burgundy in it I need another light matte bone shade to travel with.
This is the only palette that doesn't have carmine from Natasha Denona. And I'm so glad I can finally use her shadows as all her other palettes have carmine or may contain carmine, and I'm allergic to carmine.

I bought this. I’m excited about it because I don’t have the Metropolis or Biba which apparently has shades very similar to the new. I also got the 3 pan Glam palette but I am planning on buying the Glam midi for the holidays.

That is the perfect use of "for whom". Americans never use it but they really should and honestly it is more grammerically correct then "for who".
I collect Natasha Denona eyeshadows so I picked this up but I totally agree, I would have preferred complementary colours to the metropolis pallet (but I do own the metropolis pallet) I absolutely love your version of the mini, I would buy that no problem as well😊
A very rich and intense cool toned brown in *that* cream to powder formula would complement this palette STUNNINGLY in place of that last meh lighter shade. However, I would totally buy this palette, this is my type of neutral colors.

I feel the same about those bone-colored shades. It has about the same effect for me as a translucent powder, lol
Bone coloured eyeshadow is a must for me. I use it to even up the tone of my eyelids, to help me blend other colours, to lighten up those that I find too dark for my taste, to reduce the shine in some metalics when I want something more subdued... That said, I don't need one in every palette, and I definitely don't need one in a five shadow palette. I have a single that works for me, because that's another story: not all of them are created equal, and I'm ok using that.
@@Haghenveien I guess it's the same as black eyeshadow: you need at least 1 that works well, but not in every palette you own.

My fave mini palette is the Mini Retro! I havent thought about the Mini Love, but that mauve pink is really speaking to me. I just bought the Baby Glam and im hoping its a good formula because i love those cool toned grays.

I can't do my eye makeup first either. I have tried before and I hated it so j ended up taking the eyeshadow off and doing my face first anyway. Thanks for the lovely video. As always you look gorgeous

I do like a bone coloured matte because I like to highlight the brow bone and inner corner with a light matte. Plus it makes it easy to dip back and forth between it and a darker matte and blend it out when you don’t have a lighter matte in the right tone! I feel like it would be good if you wanted to use the khaki matte without the mustard

before i even finish the rest of this video... oh my GOD if it had that burgundy shade i would've bought it in a heartbeat!!!! it basically becomes a condensed abh subculture palette and i am ALL about that - the burgundy, greyish brown and yellow basically dupe my 3 fave shades from that palette lmao
I was sitting doing my eye make up using Metropolis while I watched this video. Definitely won't be getting the mini because of the dupes. I have tons of bone mattes so I would only be getting one new shade. Love your look though. Mine is similar although decidedly less polished!!
That lil handled brush would be perfect for reblending my eyeshadow when it starts wearing off a bit later in the work day
That is a wonderful idea. I have never thought about bringing a brush to reblend at work. So much easier than adding more shadow to fix it mid day

I recently wanted to buy Metropolis, but there are problems with availability. I promised myself that if a mini version of it was created, I would buy it. But looking realistically - I already have all these colors in other formulas (mainly Galm-shop). And so I figured I'd just pull out what I have and see if this color story is something that will keep my attention for longer. If I don't get bored with it, I'll buy it.
I agree that with a red shadow the palette would be better.
Not everyone wants to buy the whole palette. The mini palettes are perfect 👍🏼
