You completely miss the point. Fans just love their idols and want to see them live again as they are NOW, grey hair, wrinkles and vocal cords not quite as good as before. It's unimportant. They came to see their stars again. T hat's all. They have the good recordings and video of their youthful shows at home to enjoy for the perfect musical performances in their youth. This is about something else. Li k e being on the same life journey, at the same point as their stars. Which gives Fans emotional comfort and confidence to venture into old age etc with courage.
I don't think Axl or Jon are out to prove anything because they've already Bern there, done that re the fame trip. They just want to perform t m and connect with their fans, who still love them and want to see them again, live. And why not? Older people are entitled to e njoy live music events. It is not t g e sole prerogative of millennials . Whose shows I wouldn't even waste time attending, even if given free tickets or paid to suffer their dreadful new age, technology o reduced garbage they try yo pass off as 'art'. Jon and Axl at their worst would be better that this era's crap performances, even at t heir best. Rock on Axl, Jon and all th e musicians of that great 80's era. The as Axl rose Their voice is now terrible. The prime bon Jovis voice is uncomparerable, But now,, I don't know. But still one of my favorites legendary bands in history.
This is so sad! Jon I love you, I been to at least 15 of your concerts in my life. The last 2 were in your hometown sat 3 rows from the stage, Then at the Garden 5 rows from the stage. Point I'm making please retire go off into the sunset gracefully. You had a brilliant career, made a ton of money made a lot of people happy. You can't sing anymore. your voice is gone. all your doing is yelling the words to your songs. You're not singing Jon you're talking loudly. This is so sad Jon you sound terrible here. We need to know what happened and if vocal cord therapy is possible. It happened suddenly and age has nothing to do with it- he is only 60 and that is not old. If he can get back to being the Jon we admire, I want to give him a chance. Messages that say he can't sing anymore are very hurtful. I live him dearly and I think we should encourage him to get help and not discourage him.

i think jon has acknowledged that his voice is gone because in one of their songs “God Bless This Mess” some of the lyrics are “my voice is shot i’m going grey” so i know jon knows that his voice is gone. it is beyond my knowledge of why they are still touring though.

Before cutting him down, I would prefer to see him get professional, therapeutic help. This man gave us so much over the years that I think we should stand by him.
