Mos def is the Beethoven of hip hop. no one else can create such masterpieces on the spot. Not to mention the insane music from the black keys. This whole album is going to be a work like no other.
ay im in no shape, form, or fashion a jim jones fan but jimmy did his thing on these verses. when youre in the kind of company as the participants in this blakroc project, you GOTTA come strong... no way in hell he would be on a track with mos talkin bout "ballin" nahmeen?
agreed...the more hiphop greats you add is fine its when you start adding scrubs to the mix that's when the album loses its strength but I agree with you
@44RapAce44 sure those rappers are dope. but ity a New York thing ;) blu i guess is west. elzhi imo detroit and black somewhere south.. but true, talib would have been nice in this :D
@44RapAce44 theres like a hundred MC's i'd want on this album... you could name them all day. but that would be wack cause the project wouldn't be the same... it's about having those few voices... it's what makes it unique
naw they got the core rappers too many makes it feel like mixtape status...would bring down the feel of the album. best hiphop album I have bought in years!
@44RapAce44 i don't think that...that would of been corny to me...everyone who he had on it was great..q tip, mos, the black keys...its was slightly genius...those people wouldn't of done the album that much jusitice..but black thought..i'll admit..would of been a nice addition..he is one of my fav also
seems you don't know too much about human evolution - too bad. so well, i will correct myself, it's mainly a New York feat. thing, but that might rather be related to Damon Dash. thanks for being so constructive with your criticism and giving the real answer instead. helpful commentary dude, really..
been coming back to these videos since highschool. just unbelievable.
Mos Def is definitely one of hip hops greatest artist, his music will be listened to for years and years.
so good to see artists from different scenes coming together like this, their styles blend so well
Mos def is the Beethoven of hip hop. no one else can create such masterpieces on the spot. Not to mention the insane music from the black keys. This whole album is going to be a work like no other.
I love this joint right here. Behind the scenes on one of my favorite songs Mos collaborated on. Such good footage.
it is..it's called On The Vista
i remember seeing it on youtube somewheres..
Love these Webisodes Great Idea. 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿🎥🎥🎥
I can't believe I have to wait 2 more months to have this. That track they're doing at the end of this clip is just so sick!
Im loving to see that we are finally not ashamed to claim what was our anyway!
One of my fav MC's, one of my fav Bands! Dope!
Dame said how did that feel Mos pause.. lol.. Dame is cool cat. Solid dude
its too bad this will never be played on the radio.. that is until i conquer the world!!
this needs to be a real group....i'd love to to hear a 15+ tracc lp....

album is classic
only MOS can sound so pure with no additional fixing
this studio is one of gods creation
loving the video footage MOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like how everyone is in studio and not emailing verses!
ay im in no shape, form, or fashion a jim jones fan but jimmy did his thing on these verses. when youre in the kind of company as the participants in this blakroc project, you GOTTA come strong... no way in hell he would be on a track with mos talkin bout "ballin" nahmeen?
This is confirmed bananas!!! I love Mos!!
Goosebumps at 3:25
I cannot fuckin wait for this disc.
Mos killed every track he touched on this. A+ above everyone else. No disrespect to the other artists either
It wasn't a competition. It was a collective effort so yeah
K ideally so many more artists should contribute but CANT ANYONE ENJOY SHIT FOR WHAT IT IS ANYMORE?
feel blessed we got this.
dude there are so many other fantastic rappers that need to be workin with the keys
For everyone going crazy about how they should've add more people, Blakroc isn't done, they're supposed to release more material next year.
yeah i'm a little jealous myself. this is beautiful
BRILLIANT
What a giant! That is teaching
You're guys know what ya doin'!
this is awesome!
they definitely need some more rappers.
He's a true poet
i wanna hear Black Thought,MF DOOM and Talib kweli over this.. shiit that would have been ILL as Fuck
hoochie coochie is such a sick track. first we get blakroc in nov, and then a new black keys album in spring, awesome!!!!
Yeah i was particulily dissappointed Black Thought didn't appear on this album.
Oh wow. Me too. A decade later
me too!! I'd go all Costanza with the bar fridge, blanket and sh-t
mos def - DRUNK AS HELL LMAO!!!!!!
11 years later and I have to correct you in order to restore balance. Sir, he’s high, not drunk.
Are these cut down from the clips on the website??
Man where can I get that Univ of Amdsterdam Hoodie from
mos def came thru too
All I know is that this track better be on the album... (the one where Mos Raps)
This makes for good viewing
mos gotta be high as hell. look at all that water he's drinkin
you mean talib lyrics stick to ya rib? I mean thats my favorite cd that i play in my crib
Mos Def is a pure genius! I rest my case!
the most definitive.
The Black Keys can do no wrong! They should be the two new members of Wu-Tang after this!
@44RapAce44 hell yeah man! Blu especially, this shit is too perfect for him
Next album then...keep Mos Def and Pharoahe, and add the guys I said. That would be a classic.
@44RapAce44 Andre 3000?
Is there another BlackRoc album coming out? More suggested rappers:
MF Doom
GZA, Ghostface(pretty much any other wu tang guys)
One Be Lo
Rakim
this makes me super depressed because we'll never get MF Doom and the black keys now
@@AtomicNetwork man i'm sad we'll just never hear another verse from that creative genius
Aesop Rock, Action Bronson, Madlib / Quasimoto, Meth, and obviously DOOM.
Dame in the cut!
@MusicMan1330 because it was a new york thing ;) i wished black thought was in, but he's from philly :/
who like 2 hear common on some of their stuff
Mos Def is the illest
dan has no beard now, and in later webisodes it huge
I didn't know Mof Def could sing. He's actually not bad!
dont eva go to the record lable.. eva!!
agreed...the more hiphop greats you add is fine its when you start adding scrubs to the mix that's when the album loses its strength but I agree with you
I tell everybody about the Black Keys!
Didn't know NOE, nicole wray or ludacris were from new york
@44RapAce44 sure those rappers are dope. but ity a New York thing ;) blu i guess is west. elzhi imo detroit and black somewhere south.. but true, talib would have been nice in this :D
@matmanpeteful that's a yoimiuri giants cap. they're like the yankees of the japanese league
@44RapAce44 theres like a hundred MC's i'd want on this album... you could name them all day.
but that would be wack cause the project wouldn't be the same... it's about having those few voices... it's what makes it unique
zack de la rocha and keys!
@Gatz777 mos jay and currensy on a track man! center edge territory
@osarsour not to mention he's on dexter acting with people of all races.
@whabashaki
Yomiuri Giants Hat
naw they got the core rappers too many makes it feel like mixtape status...would bring down the feel of the album. best hiphop album I have bought in years!
@44RapAce44 i don't think that...that would of been corny to me...everyone who he had on it was great..q tip, mos, the black keys...its was slightly genius...those people wouldn't of done the album that much jusitice..but black thought..i'll admit..would of been a nice addition..he is one of my fav also
People they should/should have put on this album:
Blu
Talib Kweli
eLZhi
Black Thought
Green Wurlitzer. Yeish!
If it don't make dollars then it don't make SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How could this be a New York thing when The Black Keys themselves aren't from New York? They're from Ohio, by the way.
@44RapAce44 Agreed. Blackthought would've made this even more ill.
MF DOOM...
lol cause he's high as hell
mos doesnt rap on it he sings the hook :( they have jim jones failing 2 verses on here
I think you'd find that he is actually stoned.
seems you don't know too much about human evolution - too bad. so well, i will correct myself, it's mainly a New York feat. thing, but that might rather be related to Damon Dash. thanks for being so constructive with your criticism and giving the real answer instead. helpful commentary dude, really..
far far faresh!!!
@june21stgem... naw, Mos is too smart to be racist
