GBF is a marathon, and a long one too, but each step of progression always feels good.

nekomancer is an old copium strat that only guards every turn, and does not press any skills. They use auto-nuking characters like athena/s.medu/xmas nemone, with some other characters like hekate as jank alternate options. Usually they run carbuncle summons to help mitigate the damage incoming, because as long as you don't press [ skills ], summon effects are free to call endlessly even when siete's FC is up.

Nekomancer really is only just there to provide the stats and healing to sustain through the damage you're taking, and particularly enjoys the hekate [ summon ] at 4* because it's just about mashing out fuckloads of turns for honors. Definitely more of a JP ping strat, but also is a way for newer magna players to start getting their hosts in at 4m honors

That sounds hella rough, I just got curious since I never saw it on the wiki or Gamewith.
I wanted to look into it, but I doubt it can go faster than 3 minutes for mins, and with Alanaan 5* and Agnis doing it in 40 seconds, trying to open farm this thing is almost impossible, lol.

You don't need to guard every turn if you have enough HP(70k party average), I only guard after Espada if my charge bar is full otherwise I auto for charge bar. You can even auto while face tanking Infinito Creare as long as you have a buncle cut. Also I've found that replacing C.Nemone for Hekate is faster or about the same honestly.
Edit: I switched Medusa w/ Nemo instead and it's faster lol. Takes around ~3:30 mins for 4M. Also I use copum crit AgnixLuci btw w/ 2 Rein fists, 1 Shiva bow, 1 Vertex(0 CS cuz Michael hates me).

Can I use Higurashi instead of Kaneshige or is the better bar gain from the CCW better in the long run?

I honestly had to look up the Higurashi on the wiki, lol.
Never seen the weapon.
Extra chain burst should/may offset one less CA every now and then, but you're gonna be better off if you just try it yourself and see if there's a difference and how big it is.

I use higurashi kengo, yukata Silva, percy grand, Mika,i do fa the first 4 turns for 3m honors, in the 5th turno, manually percy Grand sk3 and attack for 4m
