Noel, great video (and edit), plenty of info. I liked the line you played starting at 15:24, but there where plenty of others as well! It's real important to learn how to "chord punch" with your single note lines.
Love it! So groovy, so much knowledgeable bits! And the way your son edits the video is just golddd 😂 hope to someday play like this, just soooo tasty! 🤯
Nice- then all the other chord types should be shown also for the: M7, V , m7b5. What’s the book you are using ? Also what are the scales between the chords - just Dorian ? thanks
Thanks. Yes, all Dorian in this video I think (it’s been a while). That’s from my book, “Voicing Modes” There are also sample shapes for Maj7, Dom7, mi7(b5) and others in that book.
Thanks! I was using the Boss RC-300. It does have drums built in, but I was using drums (pre-recorded into the looper via aux input) from the Drumgenius app on my phone.
@@nohjoh08 I am looking for a guitar instructor. I live in Oklahoma and am willing to drive to Denton. My primary interest is jazz. Favorite players are Wes and Pass. Any recommendations? Thx
Mr Johnston. These lessons are priceless. I really appreciate that you share all this. Next level Great!! 💯

Kudos to Aiden for the great editing and the visual additions! These are super helpful.

Thank you soo much ...but if you could breakdown theorically it would be great ...you have to do another video about this concept INTERESTING ❤️🔥
You have my Sub!
This is excellent. Do you do private lessons?
Bro, sick
thanks for that :)

Great lesson and sick editing! What looper do you use and are the drums built-in?

Rick Beato needs to figure this stuff out for us....
Wonder what type of looper that is!?
I’m using a Boss RC-300 here
Does your book give the frett numbers, because it's much harder to work them out without em
The chord diagrams I’m discussing here don’t have fret numbers. Just interval numbers. That way they are adaptable to all keys.
How would you play a Dorian arpeggio ?
Not the only option, but I like 1-b3-6-b7.
Could you go a little faster so it could be a perfect blur ?
Are you the guitar instructor at UNT?
one of em!
