You gotta close out that game. We had the lead AND the ball. We ran 6 minutes off the clock and didn't score. Then our defense couldn't produce a stop when we needed it.
Then Olave fucked up his route. Come on man. I'm a hardcore Buckeye fan. I went out and vandalized my neighbors car I was so mad cuz he's from South Carolina. And I would walk up and slap that ref if I saw him. But we absolutely cannot blame the refs for the loss. That's a bitch move.
And the first touchdown that got called back was a good call. Dobbins didn't have the fuckin' ball. The fumble I think was a bullshit call to reverse it. Maybe we woulda won the game with that. I don't know. But we shoulda fuckin' won it ANYWAY. We fuckin' blew it.

As a buckeye fan 1) Trevor was amazing 2) etienne was amazing 3) that was definitely a scoop and score. It was a bizarre night for osu. But props to Clemson for capitalizing on our mistakes and finding a way to win. Please go beat LSU.
Honestly the scoop and score could have gone either way. I as a clemson fan didnt beileve there was enough evidence to overturn it so i think the points should have stayed. BUT, it looks a lot more like a drop in real speed which the refs have to review in.
imwill trimble it was called a fumble on the field and then replay only confirmed it. NFL refs also think this way and have spoken out

Clemson fan here. Ohio state and clemson are the best teams in college football. LSU has an amazing offense but trevor lawrence, Etienne, and Tee are going to dominate their defense. @Pamela Johnson Take the rose colored glasses off and look at the entire game unbiasedly. IF it were only 2 calls that were either missed or wrong that would be one thing. But, when there was a multitude of calls that the ref's blatantly got wrong or threw no flag whatsoever when they should have that all favored one team there's a serious problem and people should be irate!!!! Bad calls, wrong calls, or no-calls were made on those drives that resulted in OSU FG's in addition to the supposed targetting (which wasn't) and the supposed incomplete pass (that was a catch and fumble for a TD). Put all those points on the scoreboard that should have been there OSU would have scored 42 points (that's not including the obvious points being shaved at the end of the game when Fields threw his second int or you could add 7 more points).

From a Clemson Tiger fan: y'all got robbed this year. Tua was playing with a target on his back all season. I think when people say "we haven't played anyone" what that really means is we haven't played anyone like OSU that plays dirty targeting football. Bama does and unfortunately it cost you this year. I'm always amazed at how people who report on these games can come up with the stupidest version of the most obvious questions!
So, the Big 10 gets gift wrapped nattie HANDED to them in '02 and what do they do now? They put out, essentially, wanted posters on SEC refs less than 24 hrs after they choked their shot away. they made an amazing effort but blew tires inside the red zone and zigged when they should have zagged at the end. The targeting penalty (and I don't even like the concept of such a penalty), as the rules are laid out, was as valid a penalty as I have ever seen. The booth pointed out that OSU D coach had said they needed to "hit Lawrence hard." That's great coach and OSU brought serious lumber all night but that kid that went after Lawrence was targeting him in more ways than the technical sense of the word. Btw, FIND THE VID THAT SHOWS OSU PLAYER TRYING TO ROLLINTO LAWRENCE'S KNEES...AND HITS HIM THERE...AND WASN'T SEEN BY REFS.
The fumble thing admittedly is difficult but mainly so because biased sports media will only show play in slow motion, when ref in booth at game came out quick and said (before review completed) that he thought pass incomplete and said slo mo used to see bobble or not but as far as the "further atheltic move {?)" thing, he said that's always done full speed - which looks like an incomplete pass. Of course, no one interviews him. All we hear are refs who tow the OSU line and the SEC conspiracy bullshit. I'm SEC to the core and why would we want to assist Dabo in supplanting Saban's iteration of the Tide?

Clemmie did get lucky on last drive by OSU but that's the way it goes (unless you pull for same teams I do; then you get crippled year after fucking year...but never mind). That's why I wanted Dabo at Bama...he's good AND lucky.
OSU fan base is so uniquely entitled that, after they were c riticized for being gifted nattie in '02, you know what they'd done within 48 hrs? They had compiled a photo collage of purported holding violations by Miami (only Miami, of course) to show how things are balanced out. And now what do they do: hit list and demands from AD for action. Does anyone else do this, I ask you?
Unfortunately Clemson didn't prove squat on the field. They needed too much help from the ref's and there was some obvious point shaving occurring.

It’s all over the internet “I’m not an Ohio state fan but....” it’s a tiny amount of vindication after the worst loss I’ve experienced watching Ohio state. Not accusing Clemson of anything but the fix was in on the “roughing” the kicker call and the fumble. How many times do we call that a catch in the end zone. You don’t have to tuck the call to establish possession. Also slow motion vs real time means nothing. My playing days are far behind me but I bet I could catch tuck and turn upfield in a matter of a second. Plus the ref in real time thought it was a fumble, yet he gets no part in the conversation with the replay booth and the head umpire. Ohio state could’ve and should’ve left no doubt. They allowed the referees to let Clemson back in that game. Dobbins injury hurt the game plan. Defense played great. Take away two drives from Clemson where they looked like Clemson and they were anemic on offense.

I'm not an osu fan, but the reversal of the play that resulted in a fumble recovery for a touchdown was unbelievable, I seriously believe the replay official had money on Clemson....the integrity of the game is gone....

Chris R watch the play at regular speed instead of slow motion... He never had control of the ball. I'm a Clemson fan and thought it was a fumble until seeing the replay at full speed

Everyone here is stupid af yes the game was good but the referees helped out hella, and im a georgia fan i go for neither teams but ohio state shouldve won that ball game that was definetly a fumble like wtf!!!!! Yall gonna ignore that scoop and score? He had complete and clear possession of the ball, and he took 3 steps before he dropped it.
OSU lost by 6. Scoop n score was reversed, (which was an absolute horrible call), so 6 points was taken away from OSU. Just saying. Also, on the roughing the punter play, look at the top of your screen (as your watching this play) and look at the Clemson player grab an OSU player by his face mask and slam him to the ground, but......no call by the refs. I heard some rumors that one of the referee’s in this game was a Clemson graduate.and......was that really targeting by Shawn Wade. It looked like as Shawn Wade was closing in on Lawrence, Lawrence lowered his helmet, thus making Shawn Wade lower his helmet in his own defense.

Is it that you are a genuine, hard working, and mostly honest man who is ashamed. Ashamed at what lengths it took, what lines were crossed , or is it the thought of how the Ohio State Players must feel. My belief is a mixture of those 3 and more. I understand we all have obligations but if lines are continuously crossed with out ramifications then the line ceases to exist. You don't want that, I don't want that, and college football is heading that way unless people, important people like you, stand up for what is right. For what our Fathers taught us! To have the power to make a positive change and chose to remain silent is cowardice. Being quiet makes you a contributor and therefore a catalyst to the demise of College Football. Are you a leader Coach? Are you a follower Coach? I'm not perfect and I say that now because I will surly be the target of serious ridicule! However I am not the leader of an program built on developing young men into adults. With that responsibility I would be keenly aware of how certain events change their lives.

Crazy game. OSU obviously showed up as the better team and showed it throughout the game but the refs really hurt them. Clemson got lucky with this one haha
Hard to take this loss as a Buckeyes fan when the game showed you were arguably the better team but beat yourselves with mistakes. Can’t blame it on the refs but that non-fumble was an all time bad call. Congratulations to Clemson for not beating yourselves and fighting til the end.

Yeah Clemson made some good plays but sorry Clemson fans, OSU got beat by OSU on Saturday night. Ya'll played your best game and still should have gotten beaten by a fairly decent margin. Obvious OSU didn't do itself any favors by dropping three TD passes but that overturned scoop and score was one of the most egregious calls I've ever witnessed in a CFP game. Clemson is good but the reason they're on that podium was because they were more lucky than good that night! Clemson got lucky, Ohio State made some horrendous mistakes, and they got some iffy calls going their ways.

Why don't you look at some of those highly touted college QB's and look at how well they did in the NFL? Tim Tebow, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, to name a few. Even Deshaun Watson isn't exactly 'tearing it up' in the NFL. He's just on a team that has a decent defense.

I thought it was a great game between two great teams, and one of the better playoff games to date. But you can think poorly of your team if you think it is warranted. BTW, one more thing, if Clemson is so bad and the SEC refs made a bad call, why didn't your team just run up the score to make up for it the other 59 minutes? Clearly, a great team like Ohio State could do that against a "Paper Champion".
@matt matt 1) there was control of the ball 2) there was a football move made OR there has to be time to make a football move (taking 3 steps with the ball IN CONTROL by the receiver DEFINITELY constitutes a completion of a catch) and THEN there was a swipe of the ball (a fumble)...what part of the rule don't you comprehend
