Dima is a fabulous conductor. He conducts very much like Carlos Kleiber. He never exaggerates or over dramatizes anything. He inspires the players to play at their best - awesome precision and respect for the music.

This is my favorite of Beethoven's symphonies; it has so much life, love, and passion that words cannot express. The opening chord of the second movement always gives me chills and my heart stops in anticipation.

La Séptima es una sinfonía bellísima con ritmos complejos y difíciles de acertar pero a lo largo de sus cuatro movimientos, en mi modesta opinión, el director "lo borda" y la orquesta le sigue con metódica precisión realizando un excelente trabajo con especial mención a la familia de la madera. Gracias a los responsables de la Sinfónica de Galicia por compartir estos minutos de placer musical.

I think the second movement of this work is one of the most beautiful pieces ever written. The synchronicity of the bows of the string players should be one of the best in the world. It certainly is among European orchestras. Congratulations!

Today I heard for the second time this interpretation of the Seventh and as yesterday I have entered want to applaud. Slobodeniouk successfully matches each and every one of its complex rhythms, the components of the orchestra are followed with mastery and precision, especially the family of wood. As I posetd elsewhere, I have fallen in love with this orchestra. At the risk of insulting them, but where the hell did they come from? How come I have nevere heard of them before? What is in the water in Galicia? The 4th movement bounces of my computer, as it were. What an absoulte marvel!

Ese es el problema que tienen los mesetarios, que no admiten que la periferia los supere, pero si, le "exigen" a la dirección, que la orquesta ofrezca varios conciertos al año en la"city". Aquí, por lo menos, tienen seriedad en hacer bien las cosas, a excepción del gobierno autónomo, quien se pasa por el "forro" sus obligaciones culturales.
This is the fastest Allegretto I've heard to date. I don't mean hurried but stringently paced, with not a note or step out of place or line. And it works, for this symphony is a dance from start to finish. Excellent.
The first movement is performed with majestic dignity. Beethoven's first phrase in the first movement is like a condensation of the first few minutes of Händel's Zadok the Priest before the choir almost explodes with the lyrics. Congratulations also to the sound technicians, a wonderfully clear recording that is an absolute delight to follow. It is possible to literally hear each music section, if not each instrument. I've listened to this symphony numerous times, on BBC and Deutschlandfunk radio, the old Deutsche Grammphon casettes, live performances...the danger of listening to the same piece over and over again, even if performed by different musicians, is that the music itself bceomes worn. So, Slobodeniuk's refreshing interpretation is an eye and mind opener: How Beethoven's emotional energy can be heard to be subtly transforming throughout the symphony. I also appreciate Slobodeniuk's focus on the music, while of course not entirely suppressing his personality. One positive thing I recall from other performances was the immediate continuation between the last three movements, that, to my mind, adds to the overall tension of the symphony.
Such a fabulous performance, and a wonderful surprise to finish. I have just “found “ them too, looking forward to hearing much more. Excellent, and thanks to all concerned.

Desplazar los segundos violines al extremo derecho de la orquesta es un acierto absoluto. Se consigue un continuo contraste maravilloso de frases sonoras, apreciable con claridad cristalina cuando se escucha esta obra con unos buenos cascos.
Los cornos franceses: absolutamente fabulosos, impecables, mi más profundo respeto! Los solistas madera muy decentes. Me encantan las cuerdas: cuanta disciplina y cuanta elegancia en el fraseo, muy placentero escuchar a la Sinfónica de Galicia con una elevada calidad! Pero por mi que esta Orquesta maravillosa se merece mucho mejor director... Hizo bien su trabajo, pero hasta allí. Faltan tantas cosas muy profundas y muy existenciales que se pueden expresar con esta música tan singular! Tú tenias que controlar mejor el temperamento ibérico de los músicos fantásticos que tienes, hacer a lis violines cantar más y a los maderas sonar menos pesados. Tenías que trazar más líneas dinámicas y más climax, maestro! La marcha funebre decepcionó no por la calidad de la Orquesta sino por un concepto simple y empobrecido, especialmente el final, aunque es la mera gema en esta corona... Quiero ver esta superOrquesta con un mejor director... Se lo merecen de verdad! Musicos, bravo! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Oooo siiiii, el timbalista también es mi amor! El lo hace todo correctamente: el ritmo, las dinámicas, el fraseo, wow! Los maderas hunden un poco el tempo en el scherzo...... Me encanta la entrega emocional de los contrabajistas!!!!
Siendo su director bajaría un poco el estrellato al oboe y a los trompetas😁 Beethoven no es Berlioz, Mahler o Richard Strauss: porqué tanto brillo en la oscuridad?😃 Trompetas todavía eran barrocas entonces y no tenían tanto protagonismo... Los crescendos raros del oboe dentro de las frases de los maderas tutti en el scherzo son también demasiado modernos... 🤔
Si las máquinas pudieran tener sentimientos de forma genuina tocarían la séptima así de bien. La precisión y finura es apabullante. Bravo. Y no hay toses (!!). Me gustaría pedir más variedad en los planos al equipo de filmación. Sí, las cámaras son fijas pero hay encuadres que se repiten mucho y músicos que no aparecen nunca. Ángulos muertos o no, se agradecerían otras perspectivas.

Valiente gilipollez, Pues claro que es en directo y eso que la acústica del local no es la más idónea, ya que de serlo, esta orquesta sonaría infinitamente mejor.
