“Saboten no Hana” (“Cactus Flower”) by the band Tulip.
This beautiful song was used as the theme song for the hit 1993 Japanese TV drama "Hitotsu Yane no Shita" (“Under One Roof”), and for its 1997 sequel. The drama starred Yōsuke Eguchi, Noriko Sakai, Masaharu Fukuyama, and Megumi Ōji. A young Takako Matsu had a substantial role as well, and Yuki Uchida had a small role, too.
