I'm a massive shoegaze fan who just discovered Hatchie. In love ❤
Can't stop listening truly a pure as hell jam
I was just a kid when I first heard the song “Dreams” by The Cranberries. I was instantly captivated by the late Dolores O’Riordan’s dulcet vocals and reverb-washed layers that drove the song forward. Through a synesthetic convergence of sound and sight, the song would make me feel exhilarated, as though I were flying through clouds. This sonic dreamscape would create the proper conditions for imaginative reveries and contemplation.
As I grew older, I came to understand that this sound could be categorized as Dream Pop/Shoegaze.
I have just discovered this track, and it elicits the same exhilarating effect for me as “Dreams” by The Cranberries.
Thank you for your work, Hatchie!
I can't tell if I'm in Heaven or Las Vegas!
this has to be one of those perfect pop songs. you can wear your influences and still do your own thing-that's what most pop music is about really
John Lennon's '64 Rickenbacker guitar, perfect sound; the style reminds me of 90's Ride or Lush. Excellent!
So glad I found this! Distant relatives: Smiths, Cocteau Twins, The Sundays
I got Cranberries with their song "Linger" right away when I first heard it. I love it.
Goose bumps the entire song. Good dreampop sounds.
I love hatchie
it sounds like shoegaze without distortion and overdrive
...which is dreampop! Close relative of shoegaze. This is definitely dreampop.
@@gamby16a I described it to my wife as "The Sundays meet The Cocteau Twins"
holy shit, this is so amazing, sounds straight out of the 90's
If you like 80s/90s type music then listen to Paul Drapers new album "Spooky Action," its brilliant..
I think that’s sub-consciously from how much this just sounds like Linger by The Cranberries. Especially in the pre-chorus. I don’t mean that as an insult. I love that song. But it feels so close.
Lead singer has such a great voice. It's beautiful and badass in equal measure. Fantastic song
Aussie's finest...lovin' it
See? When we said "bring back the 90s", THIS is what we had in mind! Love this song!
Cocteau twins vibes!!
1992, smash hit single!
It's so true. A lot of these great new bands would have been huge in a different time.
It would've done fine in the late 90's as well...there's a lot of Natalie Imbruglia going on here.
Sounds like dreams by cranberries to me. Lucky i love both songs
"Kiss me beneath the milky twighlight. Lead me out on the moonlit floor. Lift your open hands strike up the band. Make the fireflies dance. Kiss me." Sixpence None the Richer.... Reminds me of that.
Qriminal 1:64 My friends were telling me it sounded like it was from the 90s then I remembered Kiss Me, intro is super super similar.
this is my favourite song of all time
Cocteau Twins vibes. Love dreampop
This is possibly my fave Aussie song of the last few years. Big call I know. But this is more than just a song, it gives me nostalgia for memories that I had 20 years before it came out!
I hear the Cranberries, I hear Natalie Imbruglia!
Just discovered this. Sounds so good, I'm a sucker for shoegaze tunes. That initial guitar chord sounds a lot like Chapterhouse's Pearl.
this has got everything about early 90s
This tune could play so well in a film or the ending credits. Awesome song!
I was directed here from Miracle Workers S02E05. I guess someone saw your comment
This is beautiful ❤️
This song always manage to calm me down, thank you so much for this song
Heard it in the Radio ( Israel ) and fell in love with the song😍
came back 4 years later to say that this is a classic
sounds like heaven or las vegas in a good way
This is a fantastic song but maybe I shouldn't listen to it so much because I feel an overwhelming gut-punch of sadness whenever I do.
Are the good old 90's back? :-)
This sounds pretty much like "The Cranberries" I like it.
Another gorgeous song from Hatchie!
Wow! This gives me 90s vibes. When the music was still good. Please continue producing this kind of music. Lots of love
bring back the 90's where life was simpler...
I can hear the echoes of Robert Forster and Grant McLennan in this wonderful work of art.
Man that Rickenbacker is iconic.
Just heard of this band (thanks to Marcus Welsh) and I'm in love with the sound that makes me nostalgic for my '90s adolescence: Empire Records, The Cranberries, chunk-heeled Sketchers, flowered granny dresses, and dark red lipstick. Thank you.
Favorite of yours so far. Love the chords and vocal harmonies.
I am 65 and I love this tune - real music
take me back to the 90's
10/10 song
A Rickenbacker for shoegaze is one of the most underrated things.
0:08 Until you realise that it's not even plugged in.
@@vodkamagic9966 With enough vodka you can play shoegaze on a shoe.
Your music is just like life energy to me...When i listen to your songs i feel myself so happy & free. Thankyou Hatchie...
It's as if Tamaryn recorded something with The Cranberries produced by Cocteau Twins.
This sounds amazing.
Love this song!
I just remember Dolores O'Riordan when I hear such melody.
Best new song I've heard in a long time!
Love the song Hatchie it's beautiful looking forward to more of your stuff!
Beautiful cant wait for more ❤ love from Chicago
I listen to this everyday =)
this song is very amazing, sounds straight out of the 90's
something really innocent and beautiful about this song
This song is pure heaven! I want more music like this today.
L'une des plus belles chansons jamais composée ... C'est un genre de miracle d'harmonie millimètrée....From "the boy with the Horn in his side" to "sûre"
this song is so cute and sounds like it would be on the soundtrack of a 90s/early 00s teen romcom where the protagonist is trying to get noticed by the popular boy at school and shenanigans ensue and she learns about being herself and staying true to who she is along the way and then at the end she realizes she’s been in love with her guy friend who’s been there for her this entire time and she runs to him and into his arms at the end. roll credits
@@venomrx6442 that's why he says is a *romcom* (romantic comedy is purely fictional in the majority of cases)
For true romance to spur, the recomended reality based tolls are based on economics and ethology, and a great deal of observation, and coldness.
Great song!!!, it can make you feel both nostalgic and happy at the same time
Great tune love it
everything is so well done, love love love
This song is just amazing
I love all of the songs. I'm so happy this exists on the planet right now.

Great song! Keep coming back for another listen.
This is spiritually like Natalie Imbruglia - Torn
Wow, what a great song and video! Always blows me away in its awesomeness.
reminds me of chapterhouse great song - total banger
Love this!
love you hatchie
One of the best songs I've ever heard in my life amazing colorful and beautiful I love it so much !!
Love on first listen back in 2018. Still on repeat in 2022. That build to the last chorus gets me everytime. So simple, yet so powerful. Perfect pop song for my ears.
woow... such a "Linger" vibe from The Cranberries. sounds really good.
Luis Aranda definitely agree. This song sounds a lot like what the Cranberries would have made in their heyday. Glad that I'm not the only one that noticed this. 🙂
thanks for this song
I love Jangle Pop!
Made my night 😊 such a comfortable song
Love this and 'Try'. Had them on repeat
This song is definately LIFE ENERGY to me...THANKYOU HATCHIE...
What a nice tune! This reminds us of 90's sound so much
Brilliant! Heavenly in its beauty!
Great piece of music. Very well done.

Mesmerizing , just as it was before ..
Love Ya!!!
I love this so much
i really love this song.
I just discovered this song and artist two months ago, Nov 2021. Needless to say, I grabbed a ticket for her upcoming US tour. It’s a beautiful song magically produced.
Bloody brill. GO GIRL
How is this not Chapterhouse, Pearl?
Fantastic song!!!
i have never recovered from those harmonies in the chorus being pushed along by the rickenbacker jangle. just heavenly
