Honestly, it's so sad that there's less nerd soup these days 😢.
Fear not, once House of The Dragon comes out, we might get soup weekly. Hopefully...
That’s because there’s not many big movies or shows that are really good these days to talk about🥲
@titosdorito9628 I could listen to them talk about the rising prices of tea in China for all of care. They're just fun to listen to. Bo's got a soothing voice to listen to while I work. And they could also talk about shitty TV shows and movies. There's plenty of that going around. 😂
Exactly these guys have great conversations no matter the topic
@@Mistamann423yea I get u would be funny but I noticed their podcasts are fully focused on good movies/shows. They probably don’t like talkin bout bad movies/shows. That’s probably why we see less nerd soup since there’s not many good stuff to talk about nowadays.
Been really missing the soup lately guys, just please know I and so many others love the content and commentary. Please don't stop!
I rewatched Dune recently after not seeing it since it came out and this time around I appreciated the slow build up more
Same! First time I was a bit disappointed it ended right when things got interesting. But rewatching it I was locked in the whole time. I feel like it was the extended cut or I forgot some scenes. Such a slow steady simmer of a movie
I still like it more than Part 2 at the moment!
You guys bringing up Rush Hour once again only confirms you guys gotta do a revisited for that trilogy lmao but this got me so hyped for part 2
On rewatch, I think Oscar Isaacs performance as Duke Letto was by far my favorite
Teddy is back!! 😎
Glad to see you guys releasing content, definitely miss the weekly pod. If you guys ever decided to live stream once a week that would be dope
I'm so glad you guys did this!! I've been binging all your previous Dune content. I've watched the '84 movie that I did watch as a kid, but forgot most (except how gross the Barron was)... watching other UA-cam lore... I've taken a personal day off work Friday to go see it in theaters the first time I could find it playing. I'm so so ready for Dune 2! ❤you guys and the content. ✌️🙂 Listening to you for 4 years now.
the banter at the start how me chuckling, lads. Booked in to see the sequel on Thursday.
I disagree that there wasn’t any stand out performances. Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica was incredible.
I though Oscar Issacs was really strong with little screen time and his death impacted me
I agree with you both. I also disagreed with the nerd soup hosts in that I thought mamoa was actually the weakest link, insofar as his acting. Great fight scenes provided by him, however.
teddy being a moron from boston is one of my favorite bits, keep up the great character acting
Bruh Villeneuve's actor work suprasses most. He brings out their best performances and has great relationships with them. Strongly disagree with your take. He's a strong actor's director
6:15 yeah my grandpa is Mexican and didn’t teach me Spanish. He failed me as well
Same with my grandma but she also got beat by the nuns at her school for speaking Spanish and shit so I can’t really blame her
Glad to see yall back !!!
It’s funny how Teddy is so clueless about Barbie and Oppenheimer
My life has meaning again.... Soup is back on the menu.
Miss you guys man
40:17 I laughed so hard.
Dune 2 was epic. Really feels like this generation's Empire Strikes Back
Hope you guys do weekly recaps for invincible x
Miss these
Nerd soup!
Aka a "hot tub of recovery goo"
Love you guys !
Keep the content coming baby !!!
Oh hey, it’s soup time!
I was excited this was a Dune 2 movie since I saw that last night 😅
But still, nice to see more soup
Hey Tommy's back!
Wait what was his name??
Just kiddin Teddy. Good to hear from ya
What is so sad it to see less likes and subscribers. These guys are awesome 🤩
A lot of back handed complements fly around😂😂😂
6:43 is where this actually starts
Listen beau, I was just like you. Was not in the headspace to binge any anime at the moment. But one piece is just gonna pull you in. It’s such an easy watch tbh
Agreed. I was watching this the other night on 4K at home and the performance from Chalamet during the bull fighting comment was extremely awkward 😂. I had forgotten about it, but seeing the scene again I remembered thinking it was awkward when I had originally watched it at the cinema too. Also, bull fighting itself being a thing in universe was an odd choice. I've read the first three books, but it was years ago back in the mid '00s, so I can't recall if that was a thing or not.
Yea Paul’s grandfather died in the ring as a matador they have the bull head with its blood still on his horns mounted opposite a portrait of his grandfather in their house on arrakis
@@SKULLKR3W yeah I knew they did in the movie, I'd forgotten if it was in the book or not.
David Lynch did not intend to fit Dune onto a 2 hour film the studio forced him to.
Shoutout Benjamin Clementine listen to his song with Gorillaz called Hallelujah Money
I never understand people who rank A New Hope over Return Of The Jedi. Ok, ANH was the first, whatever. ROTJ has way better emotional payoffs. My ranking will always be Empire, Return, Hope.
Also, people don’t like Dune Messiah???
The meme origin debate Teddy vs Aaron was so fucking funny.
Lord of the Rings doesn’t feel like a complete story with only the first film!? Two Towers doesn’t work on its own! How stupid.
can you guys please start making videos more often?
The blue grasshoppers name is Ruben?
no one saw poor things in theaters?? man, you guys missed out.
anyway though, stoked for dune 2!! i’m seeing it tonight!
Did homeboy say GOT season 8 was good? Alright, I'ma head out
Ahhhhhh man made my fucking Monday
Is teddy swedish? In 3:30 he does the inhale yes that northern swedes love to do 😅
Lord of the rings in 20 minute intervals is goated. You can really just start and stop anywhere and feel content.
Hmmmm interesting. There are definitely heavily atmospheric parts in LOTR but overall it probably works alright like that.
Dune meanwhile is methodically rhythmic and atmospheric. The flow of emotion being unbroken is important for focus.
No you can’t.
@@Ian-ky5hf shut up
No way you guys read the book all the questions you’re asking are in it lmao
The movie is A Million Ways to Die in the West
Oh heck yeah 😊❤
I'm rereading the book(s) in anticipation of the second movie. Really liked the first movie. But I am a little concerned for the second one. Despite really loving everything Villenueve makes, I am not very happy about making Chani the protagonist and stuff.
She's not the protagonist
@@travisgray8376 According to Villeneuve she is. That's what he claims in one of his interviews. And in all the trailers you keep seeing her talk about the prophecy being bad etc.
I’m more concerned about the ending the book rushes it so much and it’s just poorly constructed literally Paul just telling everyone he’s won and the terms he has of his winning and everyone sitting around like yup you’re the goat just peak Gary sue writing
Shes not. Trust me, I just walked out of the theater and it's honestly spectacular
does beau go on any more unhinged political rants in this? I miss Teddy and Nash to balance him out.
I remember seeing the '80s or something dube movie on TV before the dune remake came out. And I was watching going okay this isn't horrible and then they're going to the planet going through the space travel and the person that's on spice guiding them through space is a weird demonic mutant baby just float in there in space and I just go what the fucking shit is this and it just threw me off it was so creepy looking I just went nah I'm good.
Paul has a vision of Jamais showing him "the ways of the desert." All things considered, I'd say that vision was largely accurate.
OK, I'm all over the Fremen presidential campaign: Make Arrakis Great Again... 🤷🏿♂️🤣
The acting was average
Skinamarink is trash film, waste of time, and I need to say experimental doesn’t equal good
Your critiques of Dune part one is so idiotic.
Five minutes of bickering about tickets. Really?
Made me laugh honestly
