Hello Mark, thank you for highlighting the DMS MagnusMaster on the Nordhavn 41 in Turkey, we are very excited to be working with Nordhavn. From everyone at DMS Holland we wish you good luck with the completion of your new boat. Regards, Tim Kehoe @ DMS Sales UK
Hey hi there and thanks so much for the reach out. DMS worked so well and I do love the fact it is electric just makes things so simple and easy maintenance. Where are you guys based?
Thanks for the videos I’m enjoying your journey. The simplicity of the DMS is nice but what happens if or when that bar hits something whilst doing 7kts ?
That would not be pretty. Probably not a good idea to get that close to something with or without it……pretty sure there is an auto retract system when manoeuvring close to the docks.
I met Neil at the Southampton boat show, he’s a really nice chap. I told him I was a Nordhavn dreamer and he didn’t care and showed me around the Nordhavn 55 that they had at the show….. Ps. I’m a new subby.
Mark how did you find the stabilization on the boat with the bar compared to the fins. I have seen the bar stabilization advertised at boat shows but have never seen one in a real world application.
To be honest it was hard to pick a difference. Not overly rough weather so only option was crossing own wake at an angle. Reaction of bar was instantaneous given electric and ABT fins as good as always. Frankly I would be happy with either maybe erring towards electric system given simplicity.
I love this boat
Us too

Very interesting tech. Can this operate at zero speed too say for roll in an anchorage?
Not that I am aware of…pretty big current draw

Great to have you onboard
Thanks sir.
No worries
When in idle while docking I was wondering what the awful knocking sound was? Seemed to make it when not in gear.
Yes I wondered that but did not notice it at the time. I thought it could be the bow thruster. I will try and find out
looking forward to Mark's next video where Nordhavn Europe's very own 'Guru' explains all........

Interesting to see the changes in this model. Twin screens. Non flush hatches etc.. what was the noise like in the salon underway?
Noise was almost non existent. I thought we were just idling along but found out we were doing 7kts…very, very quiet
Nice
Thanks
