I've always said this should have been an alternate history WW2 game. Japan waited to attack pearl harbor, axis powers consolidated their power in Europe and Asia taking North Africa as well. the combined strength of Germany and Japan gave them enough resources to conquer Russia. As a result the allies never unlocked the secrets to the atomic bomb, the axis powers are significantly stronger, have super heavy tanks like the maus, e100 and p1000 ratte, railroad guns and are close to unlocking the power of nuclear fusion for themselves. Your mission as a ragtag convert ops squad is to infiltrate Berlin, stop them from getting the atomic bomb and get the hell out. Way better campaign concept and it took me two minutes
It already is alt history. In the final cutscene, they strait up refence Zombies. It's Wolfenstien the Order, with the Allies having all the crazy tech.
This was actually one of my favourite cod games. It was fast paced, and I loved the setting, and how the guns felt at times. I also probably spent the most time on this cod.
The way I’ve always looked at this game was that it was nothing more than an asset drop for Warzone. It game them the opportunity to add WW2 to Warzone and essentially fill Warzone’s arsenal with WW2 weapons giving it a wide range of eras for people to create loadouts from. Didn’t really offer much more than that
These are actually really good ideas. A post apocalyptic steam punk theme would’ve definitely been something I would’ve bought into! I think that creative decision could’ve pushed them into developing more mechanics but w a futuristic take like hyper jump, active camo, canons, etc

Im totally with you on the steampunk idea. I have an idea of how to tie it together with the current COD Universe, too. In Zombies, the Dark Aether is pretty central to the narrative. What if a rift in the Dark Aether opens to an alternate dimension to a steampunk universe with an alternate timeline? Get a great Zombies story and a fresh twist in COD. 😊

Talking about CoD Campaigns… Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer wasn’t exactly the best one going in my opinion but there is something about its campaign which always brings me back for more. It’s almost something I always have to replay every 6 months it’s honestly one of the best ones out there
Vanguard is a nice multiplayer experience idc what anyone says. It’s fast paced and fun. Had it not been a WW2 themed game, I don’t think it would’ve been dead on arrival. I personally didn’t mind it though. I think it’s overhated and once they fixed the visibility issue shortly after launch, I started to decently enjoy my time

I think the addition of the EX1 and BP50 into Vanguard were early signs of them wanting to make Advanced Warfare II and testing out IW's weapons for what was originally MWII Part II: 2023, they were brought in earlier into MWIII's development than 2022. They began as early as probably early 2021, possibly explaining why Vanguard lacked so much content and support, cause they were being pulled over that year to plan and assist IW. The game was also kinda failing, so that bundled with what I said before, was really, they were working on a dieing game, so they didn't see a point in making Season 5 a WWIi themed season again or even make a Season 6 at all. MWIII is seeing AW content here and there, so I'm hoping they get to make AWII sometime in the future.

my favorite modern cod since bo4 lmao. Was so ez to go crazy on small map mayhem and the maps in that mode were SO good. Guns were fun and i would literally use every gun and do good. I love how fast the game plays, you can just sprint and people and get multikill after multikill easily. Super fun imo. The guns have zero recoil, tho, and they give you too many attachments. my favorite modern games are the ww2 games tbh. I loved ww2 cuz i played it after they fixed every thing and there was classic prestige if im not crazy, or at least similar to it. I also liked getting all the dlc weapons, and the challenges they did, seemed like a good balance between grinding and rewards, imo. But those are not super popular opinions, lol. The realism part doesnt matter to me cuz its cod and i couldnt care less about that in an arcade shooter

I also liked getting all the dlc weapons, and the challenges they did, seemed like a good balance between grinding and rewards, imo. But those are not super popular opinions, lol. The realism part doesnt matter to me cuz its cod and i couldnt care less about that in an arcade shooter
