1. This surprisingly catchy even to a 23 year old man like myself lol 2. Snoopy is so cute 3. Peanuts will always be amazing! Edit 2024: this song is still surprisingly catchy and Snoopy is still awesome 😂
He steps on the floor without makin' a sound, Then he starts feelin' the beat, You would think the floor was greased, By the way he's movin' his feet. (Chorus) He's a champion, He's the best, Impossible to tame, People say that he's obsessed, Listen to the sound of his name. They call him Flash! Flash! Flash! Flash! Flashbeagle! When he goes around the whole room starts to reel. Y'know he's Flash! Flash! Flash! Flash! Flashbeagle! When he jumps up high, he glides like a wild eagle. Lightning flashes when he leaps up, He's got everybody shoutin' for more, Thunder crashes when he hits the ground, He's burnin' up the dancin' floor. (Repeat chorus) From the fur on his feet to the tip of his nose, He's got rhythm pumpin' all through his veins, Oh, he spins like a top that'll never stop, With the power of a hurricane. (Repeat chorus)

The 1980s was such an awesome decade! The best music, movies, TV shows, the best of everything! I am so glad I was a child of the 1980s. We didn't ask for things like iPads, iPhones or anything like that back then because we did not have it. A simple teddy bear or a cartoon movie like this on video tape brought a smile to our faces. It was just living life just simple way and the best way too! If we could go back in time I would choose the 80s and also the 90s especially the late 90s because that's when I was in high school. That was the best time of my life and I'll never forget it I think of it from time to time when I'm sad or feeling sick and it takes my pain away. It's too bad anymore you can't tell a child to enjoy their childhood cuz they're just all wired up with all this technology and that you don't want to go outside and play or enjoy with time with their friends. Lots of them also don't want to do anything like play sports or participating other fun activities and many of them become addicted to the internet and you can't even get them away from their tablet computers or their video games to eat dinner. Some of them won't even participate in dinnertime conversations because they're too busy or two in a hurry to eat and go back to playing their games or chatting on their iPads or whatever else? So sad isn't it?
I'm so happy to have been a kid in the 80's.. The 80's was the best decade ever. Only those alive then can explain it. It was a happy time. All The music was about dancing and having a good time. I miss the 80's. Hearing this song makes me sad cause I want to go back and be a kid again. This song brings back so many memories. Me and My cousins would play this album and dance around the house and just have a blast. I was born in 1977
I remember that my grandmother would buy several copies of the "Snoopy Double Features" on VHS. "It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown!" was one of two specials on the tape. My sister would be playing this song over and over!
I remember seeing the special on Disney Channel, way back in 1996. Heck my sister and I still enjoy that scene where Sally find Snoopy in the bathroom covered in shaving cream and thinks he's a rabbid dog. Looking back at this song now, I am somewhat reminded of either Guile's or Ken's Themes from Street Fighter 2 from Street Fighter 2.
"Delores" is my number one favourite girls name of all time! I think that is a very beautiful name! I have an eight year old daughter and her name is "Victoria Delores". Her mother wasn't going to let me do "Delores" for her first name but she granted me the option of it being her middle name. In general, I am a tremendous fan of old fashioned names like that. I agree this song is awesome. Flashbeagle has been my favourite Peanuts show ever since I was a little kid. ~Dutch
When I was watching the Charlie Brown Christmas: Deluxe Edition, this was shown at the end of it! Snoopy dancing Flash Beagle was awesome and so is the song
It amazes me how much of a cultural impact Flashdance had on so many things - even to this day you can hardly go a year but what someone isn't referencing the movie in a commercial where there's a dance audition before a panel or the scene with the water getting dumped on the silhouette of a dancer.
Snoopy's dance double was coincidentally enough Marine Jahan, who was Jennifer's dance double in "Flashdance". The animators copied Marine's movements using the rotoscoping technique
I LOVE THIS SONG! I remember watching this special when I was younger at Castaway Bay(a Cedar Fair owned water park) in Sandusky Ohio, and they showed this special and ever since then, I've had this song in my head. One of my favorite Peanuts specials.
I went through about 3 copies of this soundtrack on cassette when I was a kid. I kept losing them! I'm surprised my parents kept buying it for me. Then it went out of print. Found a good copy on the internet a few years back.

With all the LED light technology today, I'm sure the disco floors with them colorful disco tiles that light up can come back to the dance clubs, since they won't cost as much as the original disco floors in both Saturday Night Fever and It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown. If them disco floors did come back, John Travolta and Flashbeagle will both be happy.
I cannot admit how much I danced to this when I was a little kid...now I'm going damn, I need a tiny skater or dancer I can dress as Snoopy and make perform to this...
In the episode The third verse is heard during the Show and Tell sequence. The M in Charles Schulz"s name stands for Monroe. Thanks for posting this and the lyrics as well.
This song was stuck in my head for years! I could always remember the rhythm, but never the lyrics except "Flashbeagle" and "he flies like a wild eagle." That's all I could remember. Damn, this takes me back. I miss watching the Peanuts
+Matthew wurm As awesome it would be for a Peanuts character to be future DLC (I'd prefer Charlie Brown as said DLC though), it's not happening; especially considering that the company behind that recent game has zero affiliation with SSB4 (& we hope they never do. We don't exactly need the Concept of Kaos Past in another formation.) Ah well. I still hope they consider Hatsune Miku though. At least she has a chance...
I enjoy dancing to this song, but when I first heard it, it used to give me the creeps because of the way it felt to me first time when i first heard it...

The 80s were good, still, the AIDS happened... T-T
If you ever need to explain the 1980s to your kids, start with this.
i wish this song was in the movie
Yes
I grew up thinking this was how things normally were... in the 2000s.
I don't know why but this song reminds me of the Bonnie Tyler song I Need a Hero
@@chickypooh73 I couldn't agree more! 😊
Charlie Brown: (looks out the window & sees Snoopy coming home from the disco looking exhausted) Flashbeagle?! I CAN’T stand it!
It’s really funny how tired he looks lol
An UNDENIABLE bop! I wore this cassette out as a kid!
Recently rediscovered this song. It's so AWESOME! So 80s!
He steps on the floor without makin' a sound,
Then he starts feelin' the beat,
You would think the floor was greased,
By the way he's movin' his feet.
(Chorus)
He's a champion,
He's the best,
Impossible to tame,

Listen to the sound of his name.
They call him Flash! Flash! Flash! Flash! Flashbeagle!
When he goes around the whole room starts to reel.

Lightning flashes when he leaps up,
He's got everybody shoutin' for more,

Oh, he spins like a top that'll never stop,
With the power of a hurricane.

Oh heck the music from the 60's to the 80's is badass!

I was born in 1983 and I loved listening to this record and especially this song as a kid.
I’ll take “I didn’t live in the 80s but I wish I did” for 500 Alex
The 80s and 90s were the last great decades of America everything before and after will never compare.
this is my favorite peanuts special! it is a catchy song!
This song is so 80s -- I LOVE it!!!!
WHY IS THIS NOT ON ITUNES?!?
why use itunes when you can download everything for free?
do you not know how the internet works?
+Kim Tanner Here's another question, why isn't this on CD?
This song is fire!
This song: very 80s yes
"Why isnt this on iTunes": very early 2010s yes
This song makes you question why this song wasn't THE song in the dance scene in the 2015 peanuts movie :L
This song makes me so happy

Doesn't matter what order: gotta listen to this and Manic from Flashdance every time.
I forgot all about Flashbeagle until I randomly saw it in a record store. I almost fell over with memories.
I love this song! I was 7 years old when this special came out.
This is a whole bop
This song is so good and cool! 💖 😎
And it reminds me the song "Maniac" from "Flashdance".
had this album as a kid, what a flash back!
They Call him Flash! Flash! Flash! Flash! Flashbeagle!
This song has absolutely no right going as hard as it does

One of my favorite childhood cartoons of all time. :)
This song is classic.
I can picture Nermal singing it.
And writing it as well. Funny thing considering whom voiced Nermal back then isn't it?
This song is awesome! 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
This song is so cheesy, but I love it. The backing track reminds me of ABBA.
It needs to be played on Studio 54 on Sirius XM and re-release the album on CD.

Holy shit it does.

I could dance 🕺to this song 🎵Flash beagle all day & night 🌙🎶, it's so totally awesome 👌🏽👏🏼😎😀🙌😄
I’ll be listening to this in my Firebird with the t-tops out and the old delco blasting this masterpiece.
This song brings back soooo many memories!! I loved watching this as a kid. I can't seem to find it online ANYWHERE to stream unfortunately. So sad

Why is it green on the album when it's orange on the TV back in 1985 or '86?
Remind me of the Song Maniac from the movie Flashdance
He steps on the floor without making a sound,
Then he starts felling the beat.
