I think it’s so sad and awesome that this song is about a dog she saw on pet-finder. She wanted Abigail but was afraid to get her because of touring. Now she’s forever immortalized. I think of all the awesome dogs who need a home. Brb Crying in my 98 Honda with a sinus infection 🥲.

This song really resonates with me because my best friend from 3rd grade to 6th grade was named Abigail. When she transferred to my elementary school in 3rd grade, my teacher asked me to give her a tour of the school, and we were inseparable from that day on. Of course we had our drama but when I went to a different middle school we stopped talking. During COVID, I got back into contact with her but it didn't really go anywhere. Now, I'm in my final weeks of my junior year (11th grade), sometimes Ill look at her Instagram. She's still friends with most of the people that were in our friend group in elementary school. She was always so beautiful, but she's just so so so pretty now. I still look like I did in third grade. I still FEEL like i did in third grade. I love her. I miss her. I wish I could build a staircase up to her.
