5 year warranty @2500/- extra and considerably lower maintenance cost makes this bike a really good competitor. Z900 is a lot more for almost the same amount of money but there one has to trade with the expensive Kawasaki service and maintenance cost. Quite a dilemma.
I have ridden both, I think the Honda ages better with time, and I like the engine better. The torque levels are awesome, almost vtwin like but engine is not Honda smooth. The Z900 feels really expensive and well built but I don't like the looks, neither the seating pasture. Honda is the way to go, it has good power , better feel to the ride . I just loved the powerband more than in the kawasaKi.
Wonder why Honda won't bring the naked CB650F to India. It'll be a tad cheaper to buy, lighter to flick around and easier to use, and less expensive to insure than a faired bike!
This time it looks more intimidating and awesome 😍 but price should be less than 7 lakhs😯... But the service and warranty period is far better.... And the looks... Omg the looks...😍
Basil Johnson Mathew buy benelli then. Japanese cant go to low with pricing as due the refinement, reliability they offer plus for inline 4 perfect sweet spot is from 7 lakhs
This is a sports tourer. There isnt any other sports tourer in this category (Ninja650 is a twin with lesser power). Z900 and Street triple are completely different machines. I have had this for a year now, other than the tyres and the lack of instrumentation, there isnt much to dislike. It does what its built for. Dont expect to beat a z900 in a drag race or a daytona on the track with this. But you can try and enjoy while you do it.
This or GSX S750? Could u pls recommend which to go with in terms of reliability, ease of maintenance, minimal track riding and a bit of touring. Also the availability of parts.
how were the vibrations compare to 2014 model. the old one vibrated alot. I want to buy one but vibrations are a concern. are they reduced in 2017-18 model. plus hows the pillion seat?
The bike we rode had just finished its run in and we've been given to understand it was considerably smoother after that. There are still some minor vibes at around 5-6krpm but they're minor enough to ignore. Still, it doesn't hold a candle to the Z900 and in my experience, even the Street Triple is a bit smoother
Pancheti Suraj The CBR650F is priced like this in all markets and our pricing is on part with what Honda charges in the UK. Four cylinders means the bike is positioned considerably higher than the parallel twin Ninja 650 which is considered more of a budget bike in mature markets. Can't really compare the two.
The price will drop only if the bike is produced in India which I don't think will ever happen. And more over Ur getting an imported bike for 6.5 lak. At least u will have the bragging right😏.
Would anyone recommend moving to this as an entry level sports bike? For someone lets say moving from RC390 or Thunderbird 500? Or would it be overwhelming for an entry level sports bike as well?
Firstly there isnt many budget inline 4 bike within this price range(honda should have hold the nerve ) , the front fairing could have been designed a lot better as compared to previous 650 , for most folks design is more engaging component to compare rather then sheer specs , if they would have given it impeccable looks then even a downgraded version of it would also have been successful, along with some eye grabbing graphics detailing
Mukul Bajaj my main concern with the street is the useless ground clearance , that's a major issue. All in all the triumphs are a way better experience. Honda service can be a deal changer though for people who actually want to buy the bike.
no plans. Honda says it will be too expensive for our liking (its made in Indonesia, and can only be a CKD at max). If launched it will be in excess of 4 lacs. So they are refraining from taking the decision in favour of it.
Shishir Devaraj im short AF at 167 (add lower body/legs and yeah...) but i can have one foot down planted and the other on the peg without major issues. only tested it for 3 minutes so can't say too much but it works. dunno if honda offers lower seat for the 650 but they do on the VFR.
Sudipto Majumdar Ur right the photos of this bike don't seem to capture the proportions well. However they should have gone for a simpler muffler design as I feel this muffler design doesn't suit this bike.

Rahul Nair spares from Honda is also way cheaper than the Kawasaki

I quite disagree .. Kawasaki service bills are cheaper
Alok Kulkarni I have a couple of friends who own Kawasakis and the spare parts and labor bills are way way higher
Alok Kulkarni ROFL, living under a rock?
When I saw this bike I got the same feeling as I got when I first saw the suzuki hayabusa. This looks beautiful

Visakh Asok I'm waiting for that bike to launch.
buy cbr650F. then import and fix the CB650F's handlebar, fork bridge, headlight unit, tank cowl. Rest all same as this bike.
Extra warranty cost shows how confidence honda is on their bikes... Quality product

Is it only me who is finding this bike looking so good after this update???

A gentleman in its class :) CBR 650F
Crisp and neat review. Covers most of the things
Would this be a good beginner bike or would you think it may be too powerful I’m new to all this looking to buy a bike soon
This or GSX S750? Could u pls recommend which to go with in terms of reliability, ease of maintenance, minimal track riding and a bit of touring. Also the availability of parts.
Pls tell me that when Honda launch Rebel300 in India.😐
Good anchor... Looking forward to see him more

Great review guys... where are these roads BTW?
Amby valley Lonavala
Looks mean in matte black! Nice review, is the ABS on this bike a combined ABS system?
Visakh Asok Glad you liked it. The ABS is standard dual channel, not a combined system.
May be this is not looking good or futuristic or too powerful. But it is one of the best sounding bikes in india.
I still like Benelli tnt 600i, her sound is incomparable.
honda where is the CBR 150R ????? ;-0
Price Could be low!!! Atleast around 5 lakhs would be a great choice, also doesn't look much futuristic!

😄😄 it's already the cheapest fully faired 4 cylinder bike in India. Your wish will never come true.
The price will drop only if the bike is produced in India which I don't think will ever happen. And more over Ur getting an imported bike for 6.5 lak. At least u will have the bragging right😏.
Pancheti Suraj it's already low price and best in 600 cc segment
I love this bike already

Triumph Street triple S much better option than this one .. if you can extend your budget to 1 lakh more..
Mukul Bajaj my main concern with the street is the useless ground clearance , that's a major issue. All in all the triumphs are a way better experience. Honda service can be a deal changer though for people who actually want to buy the bike.
