*FYI - I mention "Hurricane Beryl" at the beginning. It was downgraded to a tropical storm, but rest assured, this forecast was made right at the advisory update. Information remains the same and is still relevant since this was made 30-45 mins ago lol. I will be live tomorrow for an update, POSSIBLY tonight, but no guarantee.
You're the best, Max! You are greatly appreciated! We love you! Thank you for what you do! I hope you're enjoying yourself! Looking forward to your Live streams 😎
Enjoy your break, so to speak. From what you said, things look like they're going to get busy again. Also, I'm betting that all that rain coming into the southern end of the Mississippi is going to mean more flooding....it doesn't seem that long ago that we were talking about "no flows"/drought in the upper region, now it's overflowing. Feast or famine, that River never fails to remind us who's boss. Be prepared, not scared, and take care everyone. 🙏💜 Note: Pecos Hank isn't going to be happy about this forecast.... Along with the rest of Houston. 🙀
Some people don't have the monetary means to leave or evacuate. Those that don't just have to ride it out. I wonder how this is going to affect the border situation in Texas.
Ah! You're a breath of fresh air indeed! All quality info, concise, accurate, right to the point, and clearly enunciated language. Thank you! Keep up the great work!
Honestly here in central Texas we need rain. Lots of rain. Lakes are dry and we’ve been in drought for years. Flooding isn’t ideal but I’m not going to complain if it fills the aquifer and lakes.
Lake near me is at the highest it's been in years - We got a ton of rain and the lake went up to almost 90%. But since that month of rain ended there hasn't been a drop.
I really hope this is wrong. I truly appreciate the info. It was well done, and informative, but understandable as well. I only hope it's wrong because I'm near San Antonio, and we have been SO dry, that Northern track taking the hurricane from South Padre straight north over San Antonio would give us the rain we so desperately need, and give Houston a break, since they're already dealing with flooding. Come on, Beryl! Welcome to San Antonio! Come hang out with US for a few days! :D Thanks again!
Nobody in Texas should say they were caught off guard. Even if you are not in the eye/center given the size you can still get wiped out. Fox Weather said Beryl went to the south of Jamaica. No. The eye was off the coast. Looking at the radar images Jamaica got hit. The people there would tell you they got hit. The affects extend way out from the center.
Thank you!!! I frequently tell my family about hurricane news when it's hurricane season and they say I worry too much because we live inland in Austin tx. They think that hurricanes are one dimensional. They don't realize that hurricanes actually have surface area beyond their eye and that massive rain and flooding happens inland as well. In fact, I compared Beryl to Harvey and they completely ignored that the eye actually hit corpus christi but all the strong rain was sent northeast into Houston. And now that I was right and the forecast updated Beryl from hitting northeast Mexico to further inland in Texas, they say I just like to argue. While it seems unlikely, I wouldnt be surprised if Beryl rapidly intensifies before hitting the coast just like how I compared to Harvey
Remember many years ago back & front yards, one could stick ✋️ in those big cracks. Who knows how far one would have had to dig if cell phone or keys would have fell in them.😮 Live in Kansas.
@feliciabacon9923 the problem as I see it is that south TX needs rain, not storms. Even if it only hits as a tropical storm, it's going to dump on south TX which will wash away the top soil instead of hydrating it.
It has been consistently following the northern part of the tracks over the last few days. I wouldn't be supposed if it creeps up to Houston "surprising" everyone.
I just got back from North Padre Island. We got super lucky and missed the first storm, and now missing this one. We picked the perfect time to go. The weather was perfect, didn't rain at all, and we were worried because up until the day we left June 23rd, the forecast was calling for rain . We definitely dodged a ruined 10-day vacation.
It’s going to CC TX, I’m certain on this because, 4 years ago, it happened with a C1. The thumbnail is a little clickbaity but, this isn’t going to be a strong storm wind wise but rain, like it was in 2020 July 24th in CC TX.
AT&T has their disaster relief team ready for when they need to restore service to potentially damaged towers in southern Texas but to anyone in southern Texas I will be praying for y’all
This is getting good, Beryl is now a tropical storm, but the bad thing is, it is going to bring flooding, hurricane force winds, and possibly storm surge
Our weather systems becoming less rain but when rain occurs it’s extreme. We are unable to hold all the excess water and sadly ends up in oceans. We need more reservoirs to catch extreme events as rain intervals become longer. Hot temps hold more water vapor where water becomes greenhouse gas. Less rain/snow melt make it to rivers as land so dry
Weather Channel has an Ocean Heat Content map that shows waters in the western Gulf are much cooler right now than in the Caribbean. Later in the season I don’t expect to have such luck.
NWS/NOAA/OCS state landfall between 7 PM Sunday Night and 1 AM Monday, the eye will be basically over Victoria TX, then as it moves inland the eye will cross over Bryan
Thanks Max😊 I appreciate your forecasting and hope you are enjoying your vacation time. Be sure to rest up though too lol. You shall be a busy man again very soon when Beryl reaches the coast line on Texas.
Yep, this is the end of Corpus Christi's 40-year streak without a major hurricane. Ever since 1980 it has continuously dodged bullets but its time is up

You could predict that anyway.. It doesn't have to come true.. Throw us dry farmers a bone will ya?
I hate the way the “landfall” determination is on where the eye goes to shore. Floyd skirted the coast in FL and did a LOT of damage, but we weren’t “technically” hit because it never made landfall. Landfall ought to be where the hurricane force winds hit, at least, if not where the bands first strike. I mean think about it…by the time the eye gets to shore, half the hurricane has already been in play on land.
We need the rain cool breezes and clouds it’s hot over here BUT we don’t need it’s upgrading on the Gulf of Mexico to a cat 3 or 4 that would be crazy like how it first begun

Beryl's unbelievable core convection seems to have finally broken down over land. Insane how immune to shear it's remained.
