!!!! IMPORTANT UPDATE !!!! The Scamp trailer does come with a bathroom option in the 13-ft model. It weighs 1200-1500lbs and costs around $13,000. Apologies for misleading you in the video.
When towing, you shouldn't pull more than 80% of your tow capacity. (You're going to need to add gear, which can add up to your max capacity fast). You're going to want to install trailer brakes, and perhaps a transmission cooler if you don't want to overheat your vehicle on hills.
Mikael Lindberg curious. What type of suv do you have? My forester can maybe do 1500 pounds Really liked the Scamps the best but wasn’t sure if that would be possible for my subbie
A bathroom is 100% must have, along with the interior height has to least be six foot five. Another option would should be mandatory with any RV is built in solar, it is this an important as having a bath, or having a kitchen. I can do without an awning, but if you have an awning with a side wall screens, it really does expend the exterior usage of the trailer big time. I'm not a big fan of single axle trailers either short or long, they have a tendency a bouncing too much between the tow vehicle and the pole vehicle. I would prefer even on a short trailer, a tandem axle. Also I wish hundred percent of all RVs, had wider doors, so they can accommodate a wheelchair. 99% of the RVs manufacturer today or manufactured yesterday cannot accommodate a wheelchair or a walker.
Unless you're using a ramp for a wheelchair, the door width can accommodate a folded one. If not using a ramp, you're just walking through the door and thus not need to have full operational chair or walker width. Dual axle trailers require larger tow vehicles which not everyone owns or is willing to own.
WOW 🤩!! Y’all hit a home run with this informative video! Everyone of these trailers was fantastic!! I would be hard pressed to have to make a decision on which one of these to choose from. I loved 🥰 them all!!! Keep up the great work! I can’t wait to see the next video!!
