  • Older vdeo from April 2016. The Samsung is one I bought a couple days before my birthday in 2016 at Goodwill. The Kenmore is made by Sanyo and it was from the garbage in April 2015, and the Hotpoint (Manufactured by Samsung as well) was bought at a garage sale in July 2013.

    These microwaves were definitely made a whole lot better than today's appliances that only last a couple of years.

      Yea. That's why we have to keep the ones we have left working.

    Nice finding the three vintage Microwave. Vintage Microwave is way better than Today's Microwave from China. =)

      oh yeah. They work great and if the one in my kitchen decides to check out it's getting replaced with the big Samsung

      In the kitchen, what brand name is that and where was made?

      The oven in the kitchen is a Kenmore made by LG. I think it was made in China but it's held up pretty well so far.

    The Kenmore conpany was originally owned by Sears and Roebuck and was sold at their stores as well as Kmart stores as well. Also your Samsung microwave had to be made between 1979 and 1993 as in 94 they switched to their current logo with the oval.

      @sonyretroradiofan177 oh yea I know all about the Kenmore brand, I grew up with Kenmore everything. We basically lived in Sears and Kmart. I like the old Samsung logo better. It is just more appealing to me.

      @@brunoshow124 Yeah the older ones look better. Not sure where the Megasonic branding came from though.

      @@sonyretroradiofan177 It was probably a house brand for some small store if I had to guess.

      @@brunoshow124 I saw that a brand in the Philippines makes televisions with that same name to this day but I'm not sure if it was that same brand that made the microwaves or not. Their logo looks like a 1930s-1950s style logo though.

    I've seen the GE version of the last Hotpoint microwave. It's basically the same thing except the trim around the knobs is red instead of blue.

    • @brunoshow124
      @brunoshow124  8 років тому

      Hotpoint was a brand owned by GE, and GE and Hotpoint microwaves were made by Samsung..
