    This is perhaps the best card routine I have ever seen. The level of skill on display is mind-blowing. The guy has skill levels off the chart to be able to pull that off and make it look so effortless. Love the genuine gasps of astonishment from a FISM crowd - really what it should all be about.

    An absolutely original, stunning display of visual magic. I love Patrick Lehnen's routine as much as anyone, but the originality of this routine deserved to win

    I can SEE some of those switches and flips because I know them, but everything is so well put together and the complexity of the routine is just mindblowing. The finale was astounding, I did not expect that. He totally deserves this win!

    If possible, I don't know if it is, I'd really like to see this performed from just one recording. I understand the cuts to show the different times you've recorded it and to show better angles of the effects (or perhaps to even hide other ones), but I just found the different cuts to be a little distracting.

  • @valinor1082
    @valinor1082 11 років тому

    It was very enjoyable overall, but at such a close range, it was actually fairly easy to catch some of the sleight of hand, even on the first view in regular motion. 3:57 jumped out at me particularly as well as a couple other ones mentioned below. Still, I love the art form and the technique and ingenuity in creating such a trick, it would simply be better viewint it as an audience member from a further away.

    Just remember, you are watching this from a point of view that the judges of this competition don't have. Also, you are watching a video, which means you can watch the exact moment over and over until you catch it. The judges didn't see that, why do you think he's one of the best magicians in the world?
