Chapala Streets
The municipality of Chapala is one of the 125 municipalities into which the Mexican state of Jalisco is divided. Its head is the city of Chapala, located next to the lake of the same name, for which it receives its name.
It is located 45 km from Guadalajara and is the largest natural lake in the Mexican Republic.
The word Chapala comes from Nahuatl and means a very wet place, a place of small pots or a place of grasshoppers on the water.
Chapala has become a tourist paradise and the favorite place for national and foreign retirees, due to the beauty of its landscapes, its typical cuisine, but above all because it is surrounded by typically Mexican towns.
This destination is nominated by National Geographic as one of the best climates in the world, since 365 days a year the Ribera de Chapala enjoys an average temperature of 28ºC.
