Still deeply pains me to see her so alone... so hopelessly alone towards the end of Season 5. NO ONE forgave her or understood the sacrifice she took on to save humanity. It's something I resent the show for on some level. Sure, season 6 and 7 saw her find some sort of redemption but the show was barely watchable at that point. The show lost itself. Octavia Blake should have had a better redemption on Earth. She should have been held in higher regard for saving humanity.

I fell in love with Octavia the moment she came off the ship "we're back bitches" I knew she would play out to be interesting she went from being the girl under the floors unseen and never heard to a girl who lost the man she loved and every other man she locked lips with she became her own warrior experienced the taste for blood and wanted more and more she then became a winner and won the conclave and from that a leader and from that I admit she's lost her way fighting darkness with darkness she then became darkness herself i know it's all character development but I still have faith she will return to her true self and have mercy on them all
I think this video really reminds me of what I always thought was so interesting about Octavia, she hated the Ark and wanted to rebel against it for all her suffering under the floor and therefore became a Grounder. But even as a grounder she practiced the single-minded brutality of the ark, doing whatever was necessary and even trying to save humanity by taking so many into the bunker. She's become a fusion of the Ark and Grounder culture, which really wasn't very different. I always thought that funny when a character would complain about Grounder brutality (like blood must have blood) cause they floated people for small offenses and locked up kids to wait to be floated when they became adults. So while everyone hates her, I love her for her brutality. I think she's very interesting and honestly, she's shown a lot of growth (good or bad) comparatively in a way that is unique to other characters. Many started out violent or not willing to make a stand and transitioned to 'i like peace and doing the right thing until it gets hard'. They are hypocrites most of them, Octavia doesn't shy from it. She owns what she is and I honestly think she sees their hypocrisy which is part of what causes the split between her and the others, because if Clarke or Bellamy had been in her position? Where survival would cost awful deeds like slaughtering a whole population or letting bombs drop? They'd do it too.

yeahhhh. Though, I just wanna add a personal opinion, one thing I think Octavia did better--I guess with the intention of doing bettter-was the fighting pit. Yes, people fought and killed each other in a violent way. Maybe others would have preferred quick executions--but most in the bunker were grounders anyway who liked to fight. So, she found a way to accommodate grounder culture AND, in a way, do it better than the Ark because instead of executing people for every crime, people were given a second chance.

JAHA gave her the idea to make death the enemy so whoever make them come close to death they should be executed from there the famous line " You are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru, choose". She was on her own, with no support but misguidance and circumstances did not help her not to mention the clans people. This video is showing why her character is despicable and why she is a "dictator" wich is the opinion of the video creator, but she is not. No frrr! I swear those scenes where she was alone and literally just one tear was so emotional. She quite literally hated herself. She said she hated herself, she wanted to die, and she always hated putting people in the pits. We only got the sad scenes with Bellamy, Indra, and Gaia in the pit, but I'm sure she still felt terrible putting anyone in the pits. She hated every choice she had to make. I hate that Kane and Abby act like she was just completely selfish when they both knew the ideas came from Abby...
I am SO HAPPY someone finally made an Octavia vid to this song! Like you have no idea! And this was so good on top of it, perfect editing and choice of scenes. I think a lot of people find it easier to just write her off as an evil villain instead of really examining what an interesting character she is, imo it's what makes her such a good antagonist, but you captured her perfectly!

She was not satisfied with living in the ruins of polis for the rest of her life, so she risked everything and went to war. She wouldn’t settle for the second best choice if there was a chance of getting the best one. She wanted it all or not at all.
And unfortunately for her, McCreary felt the exact same way. To quote him directly "if I can't have this valley... no one can". One garden, two serpents... Eden never stood a chance.

Lincoln, Lexa and even Luna wanted to have a peaceful unification. Luna because she didn't want to kill no more. Octavia was the one who achieved that, she was the one who at the end saved the human race and unified all the 13 to only one clan.
You are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru, choose. Is a choice. And it was the only choice that the bunker allowed there to be. The moment the different clans separated there was Anarchy. Clans were fighting for control of different sections. If she didn't give that choice the only other choice would be Clans fighting each other. The choice she gave them was the choice the bunker gave them. Unite or die (whether killing each other, or separating will mean their deaths because SkaiKru took the food). I'm really curious to know what people think was an alternative in that situation that would work. Do people think they should have taken a vote? If so most of those in the bunker were grounders, they would have voted to kill Skaikru. Her "choice" was the best choice for the most people to live. Octavia is the most selfless leader this show has had. The only persons that come close are Jaha, Indra and Lincoln. But Indra lost that when she didn't care that helping Kane would lead to the lost for Wonkru. Octavia's every action was to save her people. She was willing to kill love ones to do that. Unlike the others who will sacrifice hundreds if someone they love is in danger. The only person to hate from this last season is Bellamy, Clarke, and Kane. Bellamy for having no problem killing Cooper, who was SkaiKru, his people, yet judging Octavia for killing her people in the arena. Clarke and Kane for betraying Wonkru, leading to hundreds of deaths at the Gorge.
Totally Agree. People who went to space only had to worry about being bored and eating alegies. Clarke found the valley and later Maddie wich it was paradise. And the people at the Bunker? Well they went through hell from the start of the 6 long years; and even though they didn't like it Octavia keep them alive even though that means her soul was destroyed in the process only to have everyone turn their back on her not seen her sacrifice.

I think she only needed some love from at least her brother. To heard some kind words and have some emotional support since he notice something was off. But what her brother said to her was just horrible. I can relate because I have a twin brother and futher to say mean things to him seen he is destroy I will give him all my caring. Whether you like Blodreina or not, you have to admit she's a true leader in the sense that she is always the first into battle when there is a war and she is very fair in how she executes her judgements. Even though Bellamy is her brother and Indra and Gaia are people she cares about deeply, she still put them into the fighting pit knowing that only one of them would survive. Luckily they all survived but you get my point. She could have easily made an exception and not put them into the fighting pit if she wanted. I personally love Octavia Blake, including Blodreina. She is the best character on The 100 for me because she always keeps it 💯.
True she is a leader. Even Lexa told Clarke that in order to be a leader you cannot make difference between people. That you literally have to tell them go and die for your leader. Octavia was making sure her emotions did not get in the surface because as Lexa said, it will make a leader weak. At the beginning she was Octavia leading from emotions, then she locked away her feelings under the "RedQueen" personification so she could not get more hurt and that's were she stared leading with her head.
Bellamy can't save her. That was the point. His hypocrisy doesn't allow him to be the one to "save" her. Beside she did nothing wrong. She was selfless and only thought of her people. Clarke and Kane on the other hand need to be saved... by BlodReina gutting them next season.

Seriously, Series Blake you think Octavia needs to be "saved". What about Bellamy? He had no problem killing Cooper to get what he thought needed to be done, done. Bellamy would do whatever he had to to save his people, his new family but Octavia does it to save all of Wonkru and she needs to be saved. Let's not forget that until this season Bellamy has contributed to about 300 people being killed a season. A SEASON. For selfish reason in each one. But Octavia needs to be saved. Kane did not gave a solution or say something when he could: Octavia's spirit destroy at the end....Yet they are suppose to be wiser and Octavia it's only 17 when Primefire got there. All of them turn their back on her leaving her on her own to carry not only a huge responsibility but in terrible circumstances for 6 years. I would not compare the mount weather with the Bunker because it's not the same and even then Clarke had the support of Bellamy and her mother, including Octavia only Jasper was mad at of all of them. Octavia had no one even after.

Because she never had done that, and she never wanted to be the leader. Once at the Bunker she was on her own with people who didn't know anything about farm/mechanics. While Clarke always had Lexa, Finn, Lincoln, Bellamy, Raven, Monty and even Kane giving her advice. Octavia got nothing and they were in a very precarious situation at the bunker. They only were pushing her to be a leader something she didn't want, only for later on hate her and blame everything on her.
Well, her brother even though he knew something was wrong with his sister, was more worry about Clarke and Echo. It was more easier for him to just say mean and hurtful things to her than to tried and understand her.

Whatever I'll always love Octavia's character.... The people wouldn't survived if she was not there... She did what she had to do to make all the people survive... And she wants all the people to get united instead of conquering each other... She made to believe that all are one ... She wants all the kru to unite as Wonkru and thus she did that... And She was died when Lincoln was died... She it is true... And that's what made her like this... And she did nothing Bad... She suffered from the day she was born.. I believe atleast at the end of this last season would he happy ending for her. She was really a WARRIOR...
Lincoln, Lexa and even Luna wanted to have a peaceful unification. Luna because she didn't want to kill no more. Octavia was the one who achieved that, she was the one who at the end saved the human race and unified all the 13 to only one clan.
at the end of day she was right.. what happened the last living valley now? GONE!
You are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru, choose. Is a choice. And it was the only choice that the bunker allowed there to be. The moment the different clans separated there was Anarchy. Clans were fighting for control of different sections. If she didn't give that choice the only other choice would be Clans fighting each other. The choice she gave them was the choice the bunker gave them. Unite or die (whether killing each other, or separating will mean their deaths because SkaiKru took the food). I'm really curious to know what people think was an alternative in that situation that would work. Do people think they should have taken a vote? If so most of those in the bunker were grounders, they would have voted to kill Skaikru. Her "choice" was the best choice for the most people to live.
Octavia is the most selfless leader this show has had. The only persons that come close are Jaha, Indra and Lincoln. But Indra lost that when she didn't care that helping Kane would lead to the lost for Wonkru. Octavia's every action was to save her people. She was willing to kill love ones to do that. Unlike the others who will sacrifice hundreds if someone they love is in danger.
The only person to hate from this last season is Bellamy, Clarke, and Kane. Bellamy for having no problem killing Cooper, who was SkaiKru, his people, yet judging Octavia for killing her people in the arena. Clarke and Kane for betraying Wonkru, leading to hundreds of deaths at the Gorge.

Totally Agree. People who went to space only had to worry about being bored and eating alegies. Clarke found the valley and later Maddie wich it was paradise. And the people at the Bunker? Well they went through hell from the start of the 6 long years; and even though they didn't like it Octavia keep them alive even though that means her soul was destroyed in the process only to have everyone turn their back on her not seen her sacrifice.
I love her since season 1 but in this season i love her so much because she's really badass 😈💪

Octavia was one of my favorite until this season, she's lost is way and his humanity and that sad. I hope she will find some sort of redemption even that seem more hard after every episodes. I hate her and i hate hating her because she can be better than the dictator that she is right now. She needs to be stop.
Octavia was right. Nothing she did was selfish, everything she did she did for her people. Kane and Clarke are the people that should be hated from this season.
I think she only needed some love from at least her brother. To heard some kind words and have some emotional support since he notice something was off. But what her brother said to her was just horrible. I can relate because I have a twin brother and futher to say mean things to him seen he is destroy I will give him all my caring. But Bellamy was more interested in Echo and Clarke than his own sister who he had not seen for 6 years. Everytime I see Octavia I just want to hug her super tight 😢.

Whether you like Blodreina or not, you have to admit she's a true leader in the sense that she is always the first into battle when there is a war and she is very fair in how she executes her judgements. Even though Bellamy is her brother and Indra and Gaia are people she cares about deeply, she still put them into the fighting pit knowing that only one of them would survive. Luckily they all survived but you get my point. She could have easily made an exception and not put them into the fighting pit if she wanted.
I personally love Octavia Blake, including Blodreina. She is the best character on The 100 for me because she always keeps it 💯.
True she is a leader. Even Lexa told Clarke that in order to be a leader you cannot make difference between people. That you literally have to tell them go and die for your leader. Octavia was making sure her emotions did not get in the surface because as Lexa said, it will make a leader weak. At the beginning she was Octavia leading from emotions, then she locked away her feelings under the "RedQueen" personification so she could not get more hurt and that's were she stared leading with her head.

Bellamy can't save her. That was the point. His hypocrisy doesn't allow him to be the one to "save" her. Beside she did nothing wrong. She was selfless and only thought of her people. Clarke and Kane on the other hand need to be saved... by BlodReina gutting them next season.

Seriously, Series Blake you think Octavia needs to be "saved". What about Bellamy? He had no problem killing Cooper to get what he thought needed to be done, done. Cooper was SkaiKru, yet he killed her cause he thought it would save Spacekru. The hypocrisy is so amazingly obvious. Bellamy would do whatever he had to to save his people, his new family but Octavia does it to save all of Wonkru and she needs to be saved.
Let's not forget that until this season Bellamy has contributed to about 300 people being killed a season. A SEASON. For selfish reason in each one. But Octavia needs to be saved.
Every action Octavia made was the benefit of her people. Not to save someone she had an emotional personal attachment too.

I think people are unfair about Octavia. All she wanted to was her people tu survive. She did what she had to do. She took responsabilities that the others were not able to. She has blood on her hands because she was the only one strong enough to take this. She didn't have a choice. Abby and Kane let her handle that alone. Octavia didn't want to be a leader. But she had to. She had to sacrifice her humanity. Clarke did just the same at mount weather and more. She killed so many people. Indra gave her the Idea of "Symbols": Octavia finalize the Red Queen with the Idea of the Arena and how in Rome the last Gladieror fought for his freedom. Kane did not gave a solution or say something when he could: Octavia's spirit destroy at the end....Yet they are suppose to be wiser and Octavia it's only 17 when Primefire got there. All of them turn their back on her leaving her on her own to carry not only a huge responsibility but in terrible circumstances for 6 years. I would not compare the mount weather with the Bunker because it's not the same and even then Clarke had the support of Bellamy and her mother, including Octavia only Jasper was mad at of all of them. Octavia had no one even after.
Season 5 is my favorite mainly because of Blodreina, her ark was incredibl.

Because she never had done that, and she never wanted to be the leader. Once at the Bunker she was on her own with people who didn't know anything about farm/mechanics. While Clarke always had Lexa, Finn, Lincoln, Bellamy, Raven, Monty and even Kane giving her advice. Octavia got nothing and they were in a very precarious situation at the bunker. They only were pushing her to be a leader something she didn't want, only for later on hate her and blame everything on her.

There are characters I dislike as well. When making a video to show an "interesting" character development make sure to show gradually their change. She was naïve, later she was sweet and caring to be heart broken to get lost in darkness. In this video you only show her dark side trying to imply as to why she is a "dictator" and why her character is despicable. Bunker was the same as the Ark, even worst. JAHA gave her the idea to make death the enemy so whoever make them come close to death they should be executed from there the famous line " You are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru, choose". She was on her own and circumstances did not help her not to mention the people.
