The fantastic roads of Spiti Valley 😅 Sometimes you hate them, sometimes you love them, sometimes you talk about how Corruption has eaten our country & sometimes you forget about everything, That's the beauty of Spiti Valley's roads.
They are not the best roads of India nor the worst, but one of the most extreme ones.
The high altitude villages of Spiti valley have a character of their own. The people have a simple but hard lifestyle. The Spitian way of life is totally in sync with the terrain’s unforgiving geography and weather.
There are many hidden gems in Spiti, and many of them have come on to the tourist map nowadays. These places include Kibber, Langza, Komic, Hikkim, Demul, Lhalung, Dhankar, Getty, Chicham, etc.. all of which is a day’s ride from Kaza.
At an elevation of 4,440m, the tiny post office in the village of Hikkim connects a cluster of small villages in this isolated region to the rest of the world. Villagers come here to post letters or deposit money in their savings accounts; and intrepid travellers who make it this far take pride in mailing their letters from the highest post office on Earth.
Postmaster Rinchen Chhering has been running the operations since its inception in 1983. It's difficult work: few motorable roads means the mail must be carried on foot, and the post office is often forced to shut during winter months due to heavy snowfall.

Worlds peaceful religion. I didn't see single buddhist with bad behavior in whole spiti series. They having pure heart. The fear is only that one day it will be modernise and the culture will die like our metro city.
