As a medic with a passion for the oceans and expeditions, I'm always fascinated to see where the room for us is on vessels like this, or if it's just a first aid kit!
What an amazing environment to be in and study. I attended Texas A&M in Galveston TAMUG majoring in marine science. Then I was called up in the Marine reserves for Desert Storm. Enjoy exploring our blue planet 🌎.
Wall Sign - I was attending Drexel University when I got called up to fly P-3’s for the war after getting out. What a major loss of life for Kuwait and the US but the disruption for us was in college was something I couldn’t understand. For what military 🏅 and ribbons?? What a waist.
@Ow My head I think it depends on way more factors, such as what company is funding your studies in the field and the lab, what kind of task and how long you’ll be working on it, and probably some more factors.
Since discovering the submersible Alvin and the ROV Jason Junior, both based at the Woods Hole Oceanic Institute I have been a follower of Dr. Robert Ballard and his fellow Oceanographers and other Deep Sea Marine Salvage Teams, so this vessel, it's equipment fit, Crew, passengers and missons are of particular interest to me! I was a great admirer of Jacques Cousteau and his Crew aboard their specially modified and outfitted vessel Calypso.
The electrical distribution design must have been a nightmare along with the power generation to run all the systems? Do you utilize solar power at all for power storage? I feel this would be a missed opportunity being out on the ocean with all the power available. You could drape panels over the sides and collect sunlight off the water if space is the problem. Lots of sunlight and your trying to solve the planets global warming problem and not contribute to it. I still want to be one of your ships engineers. Third engineer maybe??? Deck hand? I’ll work my way up!!
