Hearthstone skipped a couple of asteroids damage once he was below 0 health, but then worked on the heal ones. He wouldve died if not for that, thats completely spagetti code how it works.
@@Zabankaunah not really, first of all: hero stops being a target when he's below 0 hp, all we know that, and we can't undo this feature because it will mean that any random target effect will continue to deal damage to dead targets including creatures and we don't want it. Second: plagues don't need to target the hero, so they can bypass this "stopping being a target" feature. And third: even if plagues stopped dealing damage to dead hero, they would still heal because those two effects of card are totally unrelated, it casts when drawn, not when drawn and dealt damage to enemy hero, if asteroids stated "deal 2 damage to a random enemy, gain 1 armour" we would also see that even if all targets are dead and damage not dealt you still gaining armour. So it's not spaghetti code, its cards working as written and you have dyslexia
@@KotikKelTuzada true. For my part i am still surprised that it still work like that when we know that yogg stop casting spell when one hero die so surprised that this coding of 'if one of the player die, stop all effect and do defeat animation' is still not implemented
@@KotikKelTuzada lol, i dont have dyslexia, the feature of not targeting entities below 0 is not written on a card - random targets or heal your hero, doesnt matter. Thats not the point, if there is a rule that makes cards stop targeting stuff below 0, why should other cards be allowed to "target"(rather: resolve their effect on entities) those who below 0 hp? This interaction is not fair (just stop all triggers and effects (remove the stack in mtg terms) after one of the heroes goes below 0, no?). And it was not consistent for the whole history of hearthstone. Some effect keep triggering and even damaging below 0, some others dont. Your argument might be - well now they tideid things up and this how its should be and my question then would be - why is this fair? And why are you so sure? Its cool and flashy when a hero heals after being below 0, thats the only reason why i'd think works like it does, not fair to the opponent tho - so my point stands, its too many nishe interactions making results wierd and not fair - aka. spaghetti code.
*literally is negative numbers in the final clip* 🤔 Yup, game sure does need negative numbers back. If it had that, then the final clip wouldn't have happened and you wouldn't have posted this because there was no need to post it in the first place. 👍
@@morgantaylor84 true! there was no problem at all with that last clip. really makes you wonder why it was included in the video in the first place, huh? sod off, smartass
@@morgantaylor84 he posted this because if the comet was allowed to hit face he would have drawn the game instead of healing back above 0. If you're not allowed to target negative number characters with damage, you shouldn't be able to heal them either.
There are 2 types of stats: white and green. Before all manipulations automatons have 1/2 white stats and +5/+5, making 6/7 green stats. After the first card is played, their stats are equaled to 6/6 and are turned into white stats. That means, that they again receive their bonus stats to be 6+5=11/11 minion. After alchemist is played, green 11/11 stats are turned to white 11/11, making them recieve their +5/+5 bonus the second time, making in total 16/16 automaton
The +X/+X buff innate to the automatons become their base stats, and the buff reapplies itself on top of it. I don't exactly understand why stat swapping effects work like this but I'd have to assume it's to make sure a 0/2 doesn't die at the end of turn if you give it +2/+0 then switch its stats.
Ok so Automatons have aura effect that is always applying +5/+5 to their base 1/2 stats, Gravity Lapse makes their stats pre-aura 6/6 and the +5/+5 aura buff gets reapplied so they become 11/11, Crazed alchemist then swaps one Automatons health with its attack so the 11/11 becomes its new pre-aura stats and then the aura reapplies so the Automaton becomes a 16/16
So, it works a bit weird if you don't understand it, but it makes sense if you do. If you switch the attack and the health of a minion, they become permanent stats (an Oasis Snapjaw that received 3 damage goes from 2/4 to 4/2 with 2 being it's max health, so far, so good). If those stats are buffed for some reason, those buffs also become permanent stats stats (a 2/1 that gets +1/+1 becomes a 3/2 and then gets changed to a 2/3, still pretty simple). Now, if you buff a minion with a temp buff and then change it, it becomes permanent (a 1/1 gets +2 attack from Abusive Sergeant until end of turn and then becomes a permanent 1/3, a bit more complicated but you're still with us, right?). Now, if it is an aura buff, that's where the fun starts. Let's take Stormwind Champion and a 1/1. The 1/1 becomes a 2/2. Switch the attack and health and it becomes a 2/2, because the aura of the Stormwing Champion is a temp buff (it only lasts as long as Stormwind Champion is on the board), but because Stormwind Champion is on the board, he gives it a +1/+1, so now it's a 3/3. And in this case, Astral Automaton has an aura buff, which means it's a temp buff (since it changes everytime you summon another), so switching attack and health makes the buffed stats permanent, which means the aura buff is re-applied, boosting the stats again. Hope that explains it.
The 3/4 he played activates a friendly deathrattle twice. He meant to play it on his Starship, which had a deathrattle, but he forgot to activate it first and therefore lost the battlecry and the multiple deathrattle procs.

Whats that?
The game does have negative numbers. The problem is "deal damage to a random enemy" never picks a character with
