Well I don't think you'll ever find a more unique collection of tanks than this. Certainly worth the long drive. Thanks for sharing that experience with us.
I thought he shut everything down due to the immense cost of running and keeping the fish. Very cool to see he didn't break it all down and instead went with native fish I'm sure it saves him alot of heating the systems. Also the cichlid tank used to be a saltwater tank with aggressive/semi aggressive fish. Regardless it's really nice to see his collection!
That's what I thought and I remember it mentioned in PFK.
i would kept a single pike , lol
@@sdqsdq6274 there are people that have and do in the Uk but find them challenging to feed as often are a struggle to get onto frozen or dry feed.
I read that in practical fishkeeping magazine I also read Terry henry has the biggest tank it goes up 3 or 4 floors and has a stair case going around the tanks in the middle you view it walking 🚶 the stairs
Love seeing native fish in a tank what a great idea!! Absolutely mind blowing
Uv light might help clearing up the clowded thank, it always worked for my tanks.
Thank you so much for sharing this massive and beautiful tank! Can't wait to see more
The smile on your face in the reflection shows us how much you appreciate fish of any kind
as soon as i saw the thumbnail i recognized the giant tank which made headlines a while back
really love the video (and the other videos) this is by far the best i have seen, awsome to see the aquariums not overcrowded and with lots of space. thank you for the videos!
I loved every second of this , brilliant setups . Keep the great content up😎
Whenever I'm starting to think I have too much aquariums I just find a video like this. Now I feel like I haven't even started. tnx
Nice collections of tanks. I wish I have some of these massive tanks that I could do heavy aquascaping like Amano style. Love to see the native fish in an aquarium nature set up.😊👍
Cool another wonderful episode Nick. Nice to see an update of this aquarium. This is one of those movies that I really sit down for..
Incredible! thanks for sharing, I think I saw a video a few years ago of this tank when it had tropicals in it, every aquarists dream.
Been waiting for this vid mate. Wow... lovely seeing our native species showcased like that. And I've got to book a trip to Wales that slate scape looks amazing. Great vid dude and Jack your aquariums are amazing. Gav
Best video yet mate , what a pleasure to see his entire collection of stunning and unique set ups, I love his style and passion for his take on the hobby. I remember when his big tank had tropical fish , truly amazing, I also remember he had an issue with the electric company not charging the correct amount then hiting him with a massive bill, I've always wondered what he did and how it now looked, well all questions answered, what a nice gentleman he is and you clearly had a good bond over your shared passion, great work Mick ,keep it up.
Thanks buddy appreciate it ☺️👍🏻
I’m sure I read an article in PFM many years ago about the huge tank in the basement, and if I remember correctly, there was photos showing the different stages of construction, it truly was and still is an unbelievable tank to have in your house.
I never knew he had so many incredible tanks in his house, you could say, truly a fish house. 😲🏴
Seen loads of his stuff on the news, UA-cam and from PFK. Absolutely unbelievable!
Amazing tanks and fish!! Thank you for this 😍
Stunning, that's proper dedication.
Absolutely incredible I think he really wants to maintain a natural looking tanks 👌
It's hard to find the words , just unbelievable . What he's set up there . Fantastic
ive seen a video , when the big tank was set up as a tropical . it was shown on TV at 1 point
Lovely very huge tank very beautiful fish's
The DeChlorinator is mainly for Chloramines which doesn't gas off (which is why they started using it) which are nasty for fish. If he wants clearer water he needs to put something finer in his filtration to mechanically remove it. Some cheap stuffing for making cushions etc would be his best bet and to remove and chuck it away each week.
Wow amazing tanks nice to see native fish 👍👌
I think as far as "clarity" is concerned. Many of these fish are in FAR dirtier water than this. The carps alone are a very hardy fish. And can live in some quite challenging conditions. All in all i think he's done a fantastic job.
I couldn’t look away 🤣 that was mad , big ups 🙌
Great video - loved having a look into those tanks!
As far as the clearing up the water, a massive uv system along with a mechanical filter along with the bead filter. Also I don't see any form of oxygenation, maybe run a massive air pump that will increase the O2 saturation and help in clearing up the water. It's what I do on my 1500 gal and I feed them raw cut fish and it maintains the water quality and clarity
Perhaps all the air bubbles in the middle rear left of the tank is enough oxygen?
Great video and great to find a British fish keeping channel, I have subscribed, keep up the good work 🔥.
Fantastic fantastic loved every min
Got a faaair old gaff on the geeza! Excellent video as always 🔥🔥
Get some floating plants in that bay part of the tank, always works a treat getting shy fish to be more comfortable in open water.
WOOOOOAH I've fished smaller day ticket water's! Absolutely incredible mate. I'd be tempted to have a couple of small Jack's in the large tank, natural bins for anything that dies.
This is incredible ❤Woow!!!
This bloke living everyone's dream!
such beautiful aquariums! nice jobs! I was thinking about the particles in the water around 12:26 . I think its because of the tree braches. I really do think so.
I was going to say that, didn't he say the branches were dead, and from the local woods ?
That's his problem right there. Powerful filtration and massive powerful fish are striping that dead bark
of those branches, not to mention the filtration would lose a percentage of its filtration.
I love native tanks! Great Job! I would love to have a US (NJ) native tank when ever I get the chance. I have just a 10 gal with neons and embers. Its great but... I want native!
For a seconded I thought this was that one shark tank from reddit. It's crazy to see so many people with such massive home tanks!
First ☺️ loving the videos bud and what a dream it would be to have that huge aquarium 😱
Mate that native tank is amazing I currently managing to keep a perch with my arrowana 👍
Wow great video mate cheers.
I wouldn't be able to sleep waiting for a crash and a Titanic moment. 😂 Fair play to him and especially for doing things his way.
It would be my dream to have a tank like this with tropical fish :D
Them Rudd are stunning!
Vraiment impressionnant. 💚💚💙💙💚💚
Amazing setup and pure dedication to the hobby, think I will stick with my 110l tank which takes up enough of my time 😂
Awesome tank love it
Astonishing!
I know very little about freshwater but have 15 years experience with saltwater…and own my own coral farm
The cloudy water like that in a marine tank is a bacteria bloom which is fixed with a UV steriliser, although you’d need a very big one for that tank
Thanks for the feedback I will pass it on to him and thanks for watching cheers mick.
Maybe one day I can also have a bunch of huge tanks in my home too.
Love the videos mate
Huge tanks! They all look beautiful! I don’t know if I could have such large tanks as the first two and have such small stock in there. To each their own though everyone enjoys tanks different, I’m sure he loves the setups how they are!
Wow awesome thanks,
That big tank with the sofa Infront of it would be my dream to own. Id have if full of predators tho. Great video mate.
that was what the tank originally had. gars, pacu, big catfish, rays, fly river turtle etc
Woah imagine that big one with koi 🐟👍
Amazing tanks 👀🤙🏾
im amazed you havnt got a diomand back sterlet in there mate, there amazing.
ua-cam.com/video/Gnus2cPf1Rk/v-deo.html
Possibly built those tanks during better times ( no offence) but managed to continue his passion with creativity and ingenuity to possibly more effect. Great hobbyist great house tour.
Thx for another outstanding video mate..amazing Aquariums.but I’d prefer your fish in there.now that would be my dream setup, keep up the brilliant content..
Thanks for watching bud
@@MicksFishUk always.great videos..
That’s lovely, that is! Innit? 😀👍
I would love to see a 200-400 school of Neons and plants. What plant? Maybe Giant Vallisnaria. What power lighting????
I think its awesome I would love that myself
Have you considered the branches leeching lignan, the molecules in plants, into the water as it breaks down?
Interesting to see the tench up
So high in the tank in the tank I always saw them as a fish that sat on the bottom
In my pond they come to the top a fair bit to feed and sunny days
Both about 10” now
I though the same thing. Always imagined them being similar to bottom dwelling catfish.
That's some really cool aquariums. I would really love to build one like that big one for my own but im concerned since i live in a Seismic area, would it increase the risk of breaking the glass with all that amount of water?
Watched this tank on and of for years amazing. Just a thought but I'm betting the clouding of the water is caused by bacteria from the wood
Wouldn’t be my choice if fish in these but amazing tanks and so interesting
You got my sub!
With the cloudy water does a UV system have any effect, I’m asking as Jack didn’t mention a UV unit with the filter and only mentioned beads..
Oh... Gee...
The simplest way to clearer water...
Have 100 micron Filter Socks where the water returns to the tank from the filter... Split the return feeds into several outlets, each with a sock. That is what people use for tanks and ponds, these days. You have to wash them a lot.
But, is pretty easy to do.
Cheers, again!!
Can test a single filter sock first... To see if it clears your water, before altering your return pipes.
God his cellar tank is the dream, bet you're thinking your tanks look pretty small now lol. Wish you could of gone there when it was tropical but can understand why he switched it over, must of cost a small fortune to keep it going.
For the largest tank, alongside the bead filter, he could use filter floss for mechanical filtration, over the course of a week or two on 22k Litres, with regular changing of the floss, it will clear up the tank, if that's what he wants to achieve.
I'm a quilter with aquariums and I think i need a sewing machine table tank!
Amazing
Lovely
Jack your aquarium look epic with natives and introduced uk species
Great video! What were the fish in the one vintage tank that looked a bit like small brown trout, you said "you have tetras in here" but he corrected you and said rasboras for reference to which specific tank I mean, can't make out what he says, sounds a bit like 'strawberries'
the man
the myth
the legend
Great comment thanks for watching mate
I wonder how he put that massive aquarium that he had into his house? Is a converted conservatory? It’s like massive.
That 22000ltr tank is awesome, I have this theory with aquariums if you can keep the fish alive without stress and everything seems to be going right don't change what your doing too much I would say the next thing you might be able to do is add plants if not add somewhere in the filter loop add a plant bed to grow vegetable in and let the plants handle the nitrates not only will it help the tank but your going to have the best veggies with little to no effort. Look up aquaponics
the aquariums with local fish are be best
its safe to say this guy likes fish
UK's Largest Home Aquarium.. By Dabl.
Shows the Huge tropicals he had, previously!
omg wow
Is the murkiness temp related I wonder? Maybe a chiller help.
Lovely big tank. Personally, I'd have pike in there instead
Impressive
Show more filters, to theses huge tanks
How i have i now Just found your channel? Great content.
Thanks mate and thanks for watching 👊
Get yourself some nash scopex squid boilies for the carp
Chloramine is also put into water by water companies and this doesn’t gas off. Always good to ask your supplier but I’d always use 3 stage carbon filter. Not fair on your fish swimming in chlorine chloramine or any other chemicals for the sake of a few quid on a filter
Went past your car on the m5 earlier, suppose advertising does work mate lol
☺️👍🏻
Might want to put some fish in them
Just seen this. I have some led shop lights for sale!!
I really want to build an indoor 1000g tank with tons of bettas in it. Tons of females and 10 males. I'd have a shallow breeding area that looks like a rice paddy. Th ed n the rest of the tank much deeper and I'd have a bunch of I'm thinking guppies or mollies.
Could anyone please tell me what kind of rock is in the tank at 5:11, i know he collected it but he mentioned buying it so wondered what i should look for?
Looks like slate to me
Try experimenting with your lighting to gain more clarity
sock filters will take out the fine particles
I have planted tanks and don't do water changes at all.
The murky water is probably to do with all of the wood
