Greetings from New York!! I think your mom is adorable!! Oh, many people here are saying that you shouldn't have fed the deer with anything but the "special deer cookies" you buy at the store. There is a strict regulation & the sign was likely written in Japanese, so you must have missed it. Well, now you know! I think it's great that you got to see the 7,5,3 ceremony for the children in traditional KIMONO as well as the Japanese Wedding ceremony! I love the traditional old fashioned wedding ceremony with the bride wearing the beautiful, white silk kimono!! I know it costs much more than Western style wedding dress! Some brides chage to the beautiful wedding dress for the reception, so they get to wear both the KIMONO & the wedding dress!!(^^)(^^) I hope you tried many Japanese cuisine! I wonder what you loved best & how long you stayed in Japan? Well, in any event, I hope you & your mom enjoyed all the experiences there...(^^)(^^)

I'm in NY & there are many "fake" Japanese restaurant owned by Asian people like Korean & Chinese, as well as their SUSHI chef is NOT Japanese,ceo food.. mostly SUSHI are not good, so many people end up hating SUSHI! I tell them to go to the REAL, AUTHENTIC Japanese restaurant where only Japanese chef works. It's mire expensive to eat there...but it's well worth it!(^^). Do you like SUSHI, too? What else do you like? Did you & your mom enjoy SAKE, the RICE WINE?

Thank you very much for your comment, I transferred it to my mom and she is so shy now :)) We were extremely lucky to be in Japan during 7-5-3 and see all the cute Japanese children wearing amaaazing kimonos!!!!! In my childhood I was just lucky enough to wear a judo kimono at the trainings, back in Russia:) During the trip we tried many Japanese cuisine, but our favorites were sushi (all possible kinds), ramen, soups ... And of course to all the travellers we would definitely recommend to try "kaiseki" - traditional multi-course dinner. It's one of the main "compulsory" experiences in Japan.:) Are you from Japan? They don't understand your language other than Japanese. Learn to say, "Dame!!!(pronounced as "Dah-meh", not "Daim")"(means "no") Repeat until they understand you mean it.
